  1. [spoiler=Suzukaze's reason to join]Kamui mentioned wanting to avoid as many Hoshidan casualties as possible. Suzukaze overheard that, and wanted to see it happen himself if Kamui indeed meant it.
  2. I once had a unit killed in Nohr chapter 9 because its stationary boss used Rally Speed before a nearby enemy moves. If anything, this shows that they do use this for more than a simple wait command alternative.
  3. I'd like to see them in the children's default colours.
  4. I'd have preferred if instead of Excalibur, a more "general" S tome comparable to the other S weapons takes its place. I haven't been that far into the game, but I feel that the A tome is more useful.
  5. Cinnamon roll for me, mostly because she's more active.
  6. We've known Anna for 25 years (well, 10 for me since I didn't seriously play FE until The Sacred Stones). Not too early! I've voted for a few. I can't tell if I'm supposed to pick one Hoshidan and one Nohrian for those mixed categories (I picked more). Now let's see: Felicia: That loyalty is so touching. I honestly think she's a better candidate for marrying Kamui than Aqua. Suzukaze: I find him charming. Maybe because the game itself says so. Lazward: For fathering Soleil. Zero: For being a high-spped, high-resistance archer/thief mix. Hinoka: I dunno, I just like her design. Camilla: She likes strong, cute fighters. Which is a big reason why I got into Fire Emblem in the first place. Luna: For being a proud member of team Camilla. Berka: My favourite character. Must be that helmet head and that cold personality. (And Kamui is "heartless" even by her standard.) Kanna: My heart is melting. Sophie: For being hilarious. Clumsily removing enemies' clothes (and, for some reason, deals a mere -3 Def even for armour units) and having a rebellious horse give her some points too. Soleil: For being so cheerful and for actually being a (kind of) successful womanizer. Saul keeps getting rejected, Gatrie gets duped, Heather just ends up confusing people, but Soleil looks much more promising. This applies to Lazward too.
  7. Well... - Some characters (that Kamui didn't marry) actually pointed out the weirdness of this whole skinship thing. - The technology it's based on is called Live2D. It doesn't support 3DS-style stereoscopy. - It's not all that bad. Try it with Odin, for example. - Actually, I like it. My favourite is Kanna.
  8. I tried to picture this with cyan hair. Looks to me that Eponine will look great. I'd say Sophie too.
  9. Not having the opportunity to dive into support conversations (I try to unlock them myself), the only comment I have for Nyx so far is her awful Skill. She can't even land hits consistently on axe units.
  10. So many possibilities there. - Impose turn count limits - In Nohr, ban Zero - Use no tanks (Elfi, Berka, Camilla, Marks...) - Use no royals - Use no Aqua - Take no loots from treasure boxes / do not visit villages (you'll miss out things like the Reverse Club) - Do not play the sidequests in Nohr - Ditch Fates, get New Mystery, play Reverse Lunatic
  11. I lost an entire attempt at Nohr Chapter 14 because of Magic Counter (and it was reasonably hard), but I still don't think it's too broken. Suppose you have a bow wielder with both counters (so attacking with regular swords, lances, axes, magic and kunai will all suck). The presence of certain weapons (like the Reverse Shuriken) will still make said unit not really that terrifying. The game really does promote defensive play in general, including the guard stance. That's a pretty big gripe. Against a team in guard stance, there is no reason to use attack stance at all. I like the no grinding part. Makes it feel like Fire Emblem. Although I'd argue that instead of making it storyline-specific, they should tie it to difficulty. Or maybe make a proper postgame and only allows grinding after that point. I do prefer limited levelling. If anything, being level 20 is another Fire Emblem-y thing. For the completionists, I think they should just sell the doping items directly instead of Eternal Seals. Yeah, the gender lock is still silly, even though it's supposed to be a homage to the first two games. Much better than Awakening's case, but still.
  12. I'm wondering how does it work for the children. I'm currently having a Sophie / Berka pair up (and am currently very nervous about approaching the Nohr Chapter 17 boss), and I found that Berka gets +3 Str, +1 Spd, +3 Def, +2 Res. Reducing the class bonuses (Cavalier), that's +1 Str, +1 Spd, +1 Def (at A support). The A support bonuses for Silas is Str +1, Skl +1, Spd +1. For Berka, that is Skl +2, Def +1. Sophie's bonuses include no Skill at all.
  13. Well, Kibayashi was asked to write three stories. How much of it has been altered is not known. Too dark for me, but I guess it's good for SF...? I do like this premise, but I do wonder if this can be further elaborated to be a story befitting this series. Fire Emblem tales never felt like war stories to me; they tend to focus on individuals instead.
  14. Perosnally, I don't really find its story too bad. Yeah, it's not the best, and it does feel like a bunch of random moments that can't fit in just 74 chapters (counting all three routes) thrown together. I wouldn't call it bad writing though, especially when compared to Awakening. In Nohr, they do talk about trying to change the country behind Garon; the siblings were always trying, it's just that Kamui was way too oblivious to that until Leon spelt everything for him. And just by the time Leon could talk some sense into him the second time...[spoiler=Nohr]Kamui found out that now that he's chosen Nohr, he has to defeat Hoshido just to sit Garon on the Hoshidan throne to reveal his true nature. Silly? Yes. But not any sillier than Micaiah, as I've mentioned many times over.
  15. Dragee. I wish she could have joined as a regular character. She doesn't seem bad; she just happened to pick on the wrong army. I like Nacht too. I wanted to capture him, but my main Berka decided that criticals are fun and ended the chapter early.
  16. This is speaking from personal experience only, but I don't think this is the case. If it's really 1RN, I'd be resetting more times than I already did. That said, I just missed a 99-hit move yesterday...
  17. Physical. At least it's far better than Radiant Dawn where the character portraits cannot load fast enough if you scroll through the unit list quickly when arranging items. Why didn't they buffer it first is a mystery to me.
  18. Whoa there. I actually like how everything got nerfed. Radiant Dawn and Awakening were too over-the-top when it comes to skills. I've been singing praises for the game the whole time, although I do have a few disappointments: - The whole "male MU prevents a child" issue. I want to collect all characters, but I still want him with Felicia. - Invisible Kingdom does not feature a playable superset of both sides of characters. I want to collect all characters. I love Radiant Dawn in that aspect. - Supports are Awakening-styled. I can think of zero reasons why the children can only talk to each other, or why Gunther has nothing to say to Felicia despite being master and apprentice.
  19. When I saw the topic I thought it was about support points. So overall, the class is the main factor for determining the bonus.
  20. See the above answer. You're not limited to use each set of save files for a particular route. If you have all 3 routes, you can use all 9 save files on Nohr, for example.
  21. I noticed the unit popping issue. If you go to the accessory shop, you'll notice that 3D models in general take a while to load. I didn't see it happen with mounted units. Rather, the problem is mostly with the support unit. The support units appear after the screen transition is complete. It didn't bug me too much.
  22. Asking this out of curiousity, because I've seen various comments/pics online saying that they think Morgan is a cuter, lovlier child. Personally, I like Kanna better. More adorable, and feels more like Kamui's child. The interaction between Marc and Reflet feels more that between master and apprentice than parent and child. My biggest complaints with Kanna are that children in general are downplayed here, and male Kanna has an unusually deep voice for his apparent age, like male Marc. I still like Kanna more, at least in the context of being MU's kid.
  23. Not to mention, you can't save after chapter 27. It's like those two-part final maps in the GBA games.
  24. It is; it's just that Eponine will continue to not exist. They didn't adpot Eponine's equivalent or something like some of the earlier discussions seemed to suggest.
