  1. I assume posting final character stats upon finishing 1-F is fine, provided its just the stats and not the story related stuff/make sure the screenshot is only stats? Related to that note: while I'll hold off on a full analysis until I finish this version of the hack (enjoying the new levels so far btw, on 1-10), Lily is going to need some help growth wise. A character either needs to have good defences (Def and/or Res Growth + HP), good dodging abilities (Speed + Luck growth), or middle ground (Speed and Def both around the 40% mark). Lily has neither. She has some base speed to try to help her out, but everything outside of Strength and HP are low growths and it shows the farther I get into the game. My initial suggestion would be to bump up both the Def and Res growths by 10%. They still wouldn't be amazing, but they would let her be a better physical/strong type of pegasus rider instead of the stereotypical "weak but dodge a lot" type. Right now she can't take a hit, and her base speed only carries her a short distance before the low growth bites her. She has good strength and con to back it up, but if she can't one shot whatever she's facing she's likely in trouble. She and the thief have caused the most of my resets, but its understandable for a thief not to be amazing at combat. Not really supposed to be.
  2. Hrm. Tried that before and results were not as desired. I'll give it another shot here.
  3. Excuse me for a moment. If you need me, I'll be over there cursing multipatch's inability to repatch a file and that its the only patching option on Macs.
  4. Might be. idk maybe make it so she starts with only a basic heal staff, but upon recruitment is given the unique staff? That's assuming you can't fix the issue coding side of course.
  5. Hrm, well I'm at the chapter with Aurora again. Good news, she's not engaging me or greens in combat! Bad news: she apparently doesn't know how to use that custom staff. She'll run up to wounded allies when an enemy but not do anything. And acts as if she can engage me in combat. Blocked Owen on the stairs. I mean I know clerics don't want people getting hurt but trying to use themselves as human shields seems like its a bit too far, lol Didn't have the problems I had last time though, which is great.
  6. Well I literally just downloaded it. I'll mention anything in particular I notice: One thing I noticed right off of the bat is that uh, the colour coded stat rates ain't 100% on point. Elijah's 5% Res growth ain't greyed out, its a normal colour. Same with Eagle's 15% Res growth. And Owen's 20% Res growth. But oddly enough Sawyer's 30% Res growth is greyed out properly.
  7. Any features you wanted to add but had to back down on due to technical limitations? Any additional technical features showing up in this year's FEE3 you might want to include?
  8. You're pretty much supposed to use them that chapter ya. Its a fairly decent set up for "btw, don't be afraid to use pre-promotes this game. They don't actually suck." You will most likely need them for at least a few chapters in Val Mode. I'd say there's 3 chapters where you absolutely need them.
  9. First time I went through that chapter, I got completely pinned in by the elites. Not even down there like where you were, in the row of houses above that row. I had to kill aaaaaall of the elites. There was much RNG abuse involved. It was not pretty.
  10. Edward and Alicia do have a support. Dante is still killable even with his moving ability. Lure him with Drake (provided he got enough defence/HP in previous levels to survive), finish him off with Alicia/Ash/Skye at range. Can safely deliver the last hit with Gemma/Drake if needed. I mean, not much point to it imo, and if you take too long doing that you can really screw yourself over. But its an option!
  11. This chapter. Thiiiiiis chapter. -shakes fist- Gave me a lot of trouble the first time.
  12. In game growth rates, oh my What happens if a character has more than one Convo on a map though?
  13. Can't get the convo after recruitment. As for Soulsuck itself... its not bad, but I use it more to grind up dark tome levels then anything else. Problem is weight. Weighs Ash down too much for my liking. At most I'd use it to kill one unit, and survive one counter attack in the enemy phase. Unless Ash is speed blessed, he's getting doubled with that on most of the time. Really with Ash, most of the time I just use Flux + his personal tome. Also man, your Hawke is already turning out better than most of mine did.
  14. 1) Talk to Edward with Ash before you recruit him. 2) Quotes indicate its in a native tongue instead of English 3) Sacred Blaze. Take a look at who made the hack again. Edward got buffed a tad in the last patch. He gained +1 strength... don't remember if there was anything else or not. But he was cripplingly weak before. Assassins can't steal, and he was basically Nala without the crit upon promotion or access to bows.
  15. Skye is amazing as he looks. Pretty sure he got nerfed at one point, can't remember. He has one key weakness however: lack of support options. A grand total of two of them. Both on this map. If you want to use Skye to his fullest you almost have to use one of those two as well. Hawke is hit or miss. Try him out, if he's turning out well keep him. If he's not, bench him. Pretty simple.
  16. Think you forgot to cover Ash's personal tome there. Worth pointing out its uniqueness. Bonus fact: Gemma used to start off with another point or two of skill for her base stats. That got nerfed to balance her out more against the other flying units because well, 50% strength and 60% speed is pretty good. Also a note: can start building supports now! Should probably hold off a little bit until we have a few more units and see who we like, but the option to build up the points at least is there. As you can probably guess, the two sisters have a support.
  17. If Bran knew who the rebel leader in that area was, that would explain why he sent Ash in particular. Also lets him get a measuring stick for how much of a risk Ash is for trying to break his word. Didn't notice Drake had that extra 5% growth. Huh. Well, he can certainly use it.
  18. Oh dear That's uh, going to be particularly brutal on HP tanks like Elijah
  19. Would that be changed with the XNA port? I never chimed in about it prior, but Florina was always my preferred pairing for Hector. Different system should get rid of the permanent event ID problem, no? Either way glad to hear that this project is moving again after what happened.
  20. Personally I liked the commentary. Commentary doesn't have to be ripping part a bad story or whatnot, just your reaction to things. Like Alicia showing up there, the whole keeping stuff from Val part, the current situation on the map, etc. Always interesting to see somebody else's reaction. The stuff the other characters were carrying were mostly minor. It the personal weapons that are the big ones you'd want to make sure you store before dealing the final blow to Ordanze.
  21. Next one was confirmed to be mobile a while back (They're working on mobile FE and Animal Crossing), so I won't count that one and talk about the next core FE game. - Axe the majority of things from Awakening and Fates. No Second Seals. No Pair Up. Back to normal weapon system instead of Fates' weird system. Back to FE6-9 style supports (maybe a tad more freedom than that in terms of number of supports at once). No Second Generation of units unless they're willing to commit to a FE4 style game instead. No shipping or... weird... pointless... facetouching stuff. Just no. Don't do that ever again. Fire whoever suggested that. The bonus DLC stuff, option for Casual Mode, that can all stay. - Use FE10 as a template. To me, mechanics/maps/army wise it was the perfect FE game. The variety in map design and objectives was beautiful: you had your open sky, flying units only map. You had your inclosed corridor cave and city maps. You had your fort defence maps. You had giant killing fields, movement choking swamps and forests... you just had it all. The ledge mechanics should come back, they added very interesting layers of strategy and problems to consider when moving around maps. 3 different armies meant that while you still had the same FE system of focusing on a select number of units for each army... you basically got to do that 3 times over for the majority of the game, then sitting back and picking the best of the best for the final stretch. This in turn meant you had a lot more variety in the units used compared to most FE games and it was great. 3rd tier classes? Loved them outside of the pointless overkill skills. Really made archers great with the 2-3 range, most of the classes felt balanced against each other at that level. A few got slightly screwed cap wise in key areas, slight adjustments would fix that. The increased weapon variety was also great. Can leave the BEXP behind, sadly it was too abusable. Just keep the 3 armies roughly on level with each other. - Expanding upon the previous point: take the 3 tier system, combine it with Awakening's skill system and FE8's branching promotions for the overall skill system. Earn 2 skills at each class, have say 4 skill slots, scrolls still exist to give characters skills they normally couldn't get. Lets the player have some variety/added replay value, but it doesn't go bonkers like it has since Shadow Dragon. - FE9/10 artstyle please. - FE4 level writing. FE's plot has never been amazing, but that was noticeably solid. - Base convos. Those were nice little touches to expand upon characters, particularly background ones, without trying to shoehorn them into the plot. - Axe the Avatar character. It has ran its course. - No infinite supplies. No overworld traveling. - Sidechapters you have to earn to unlock. Particularly FE7 style ones. Nothing required to fully understand the story, but bonus insight into things is always great.
  22. Yep, next map is the last one for Val Mode. Word of advice: anything you want to carry over into the next mode, throw them into the convo right before finishing the map. That includes Val's and Andre's personal weapons. Might as well, just make sure to pick through the inventory of the characters you won't be bringing to the last map before you start it.
  23. Oh cool, I get to point this out now: Before, this chapter didn't have the powerful bodyguards for Bran. And because of that it was technically possible for Josie to fly down and kill him. Took some luck, but it was doable and kinda broke the flow of things. Thus they were added to stop that from happening. But yes, a very fun defence map.
