While I'm more looking forward to the Gold and Weapons maps, I'll make good use of Boo Camp. Because seriously, I REALLY need to get Elise promoted, since she's kinda on the defenseless department. Obviously, I'll turn her into a Strategist, unless Maid is the optimal choice...
Elise as a strategist tho, her magic is off the charts.

Ah yes, I forgot that even though I've played strategy games my entire life, the reason for why I like Fire Emblem which I discovered late is because of hot anime girls.
For me, its being able to finally be gay. Thats the only reason I played it. Pls, be gay with me.

No, it just wasn't at the top of my mind, lol. Its just as soon as I heard Road Taken and found out the name I just became obsessed with it. I'll have to pay attention and find the titles for other songs now, haha
The accesory shop also had my attention, though I heard it months before release.

Cool, thanks guys! I expected to be shot down the moment I called Awakening shite in the strategy department, so I was pleased to see that was not the case lol.
Seems like the Nohr route is more in my taste then, reminds me more of the older FE's based on the descriptions you gave. I like the fact that Pair Up is more balanced now too. My faith in the series is somewhat restored if you can ignore all the waifu pandering, haha. But eh, gotta keep those new fans in some way I suppose.
the nohr route is beautiful, not only are the characters more unique, but the gameplay is so well done. I dislike how birthright got more new classes though.

haha but its the prep screen for fates! Did you skip it or something? I would always wait for a while just to let it continue~ and yeah, it really catches that nohr feel. The birthright one sounds more Japanese and is much faster lol, while revelations prep screen is so flat imo.

The AI in this game (at least on Birthright Hard) is making me feel a mix of anger and grudging respect, especially with regards to getting past dual guards. I know that 0 damage hits still trigger Dual Guard, and the enemy seems to exploit this whenever they can to empty out my shield gauge just in time for the heavy hitters to come in. Very annoying, but it definitely makes things interesting. Oh how I got my ass handed to me in Birthright chapter 12.
Its not like awakening at all where you could run in and barely strategize is it now?~

I like default Corrin, okay? And since I kept Robin's name in awakening, I thought i would do the same here.
Revelation. Boon is Str and bane is mag. Secondary is ninja hence lethality. I just want to be a ninja lol. Married Xander in this file. At ch 20 right now.

Not really. Everything that happened has a logical explanation, granted PoR is much better in that aspect but RD is better than Awakening could've ever hoped to be.
This is about Fates though and I'm here for the gameplay, not the story.
Anyone know how easily a long time fan would be assimilated into the game's system? Is the strategy just as shite as Awakening? If it is then I would have no issues with skipping this, but it looks well done for the most part has gotten great reviews. Also the children, is it still integral to ship your characters to enjoy everything in the game? That was a big gripe I had with Awakening too.
No, not at all. This game actually takes thought. Unlike Awakening. And idk, the children arent needed, they're more or less there. Which is infact a complaint of mine with the game. (SHOCKING I KNOW IM COMPLAINING HAHAHA)

I'm playing Conquest. I didn't realize it was different for each version; very interesting! I'll have to check what game other people are playing next time I visit their castles.
oh and this was the song I was talking about, it sounds different in each game haha. Though in conquest its superb. Especially at 1:30 hngh

I can't deny I'm disappointed they made the only F/F option a Tharja clone, and a child unit at that. Niles I'm better with if only because he's an actually new character.
And also because he's in Conquest and I'm biased towards that version of the game.I'm hoping for better next time around, but I'd be lying if I said I expect better.
But does that mean I truly care, deep down in the bottom of my soul? Also tharja hate seems to be everywhere. Sigh.

I'd have to say Road Taken (both Roar and Normal). I have noticed that when I venture into other people's castle and they also have Road Taken set as their theme, it sounds as though it playing at a different pitch than my own castle.
Are you playing birthright or conquest? Its a different pitch for both games I noticed. Same with the battle preparation theme, which is different for all three games. Sadly it sounds boring in revelation and it sounds the best in conquest imo.

People should be able to state their opinions as long they aren't an ass about it.
I have no problem with that. But when I make a damn statement, I make it. And I literally don't care what people think about said statement. If it came out of my mouth I meant it. I dont mince my fucking words.
I never said people couldnt have opinions. I merely said people complain like babies, they always do. Every new entry in a series seems to get hate and controversy, yet whats the point if it is still liked by the general populace? Nintendo dosent give a fuck about you in the long run.
EDIT: However I do find smart ass remarks really funny to read. If I tell you to shut the fuck up here I would most certainly tell you to fuck off in real life. People are an eyesore.

broken. Married midori for the underated quick salve skill. Changed to merchant for profiteer. I also have astra and I'm getting Luna. Stuck as a great knight in my conquest lets play till I get Luna, since the dlc comes out today.

Honestly, the veteran fans who aren't of the opinion that "the series is a f*cking joke that's lost its soul" seem to be pleasantly surprised by the gameplay.
I'm seeing much more of people nitpicking the localization and telling veterans to shut up.
Good, the amount of forum post from veteran fans complaining about the same thing over and over again made me cringe.

You're at a forum solely dedicated to discussing Fire Emblem Fates, so chances are you'll see both a lot of praise and hate of the game, since the game contains a lot of good and bad. It's entirely possible to criticize or dislike parts of something while still enjoying it as a whole. Calling out people trying to have a discussion is not constructive in any way.
And I care how? because I dont. I dont care about other people irl and I certainly dont on the Internet.
