  3. hay ghast, this hack of fe vii mix with shining force music is awesome, um, when is the next version of this hack coming out? also shining force music is boss ;) I'm currently replaying shining force I on sega gen psp emu, also playing shining force II and shining force CD in Picodrive! awesome games :)
  4. um, i played the game for a few days now, I'm passed ch 6, where exactly does the v1.01 patch end? at ch 6? cuase I'm at ch 9, and the game still continues? maybe it's outside the patch and runs the normal FE VII game stuff, but with the charters mix of the hack v1.0.1?

Hay avril, thanx for the reply, yea ch 1 was kinda hard at the beginning, but i finally figured which cell goes for which char and beat it finally! yay! glad my feedback is helpful to you in some way or another, even if it is a small way helpful ;) if you want i can post feedback for each ch as i play the game along up until the current patch's end if you want. here are some ch pics taken from my PSP in GPSP EMU (GBA). Hay there! just wanted to say that this hack of FE IV to gba style is awesome! it really gives the FE IV snes feel in gba modern format :) the new skills for the enemies and chars is great like fe iv on snes. I'm still playing through it, haven't beaten it to the end of the current patch, but I'm liking it so far, the music form fe iv snes to gba style to superb :) looking forward to the next patch
  7. hay Avril, this FE7 hack is rather neat, good job on your first hack! i started playing this sometime ago, and I'm stuck on ch 1, i keep having to restart it and i keep getting stuck. um, for ch 1 is it possible to: 1) get all charaters out of the starting cell? 2) when you enter/step on one of the upper cells for the certain charater, that "cell" closes, and then you need to oil some more baddies and get another "door key" to open a new cell, but how can i know which of the 5 cells in the upper screen is for which charater? trial/error? 3) also if i open the starting cell to let the last charater out, will more baddies show up so i can get keys form them for the cells? also, if the one key that you get from the starting bandit had more uses than 1, let's say 6 (5 for each char''s cell and 1 for starting cell), this would make the chapter more easier to finish, cause the one key usage and the weird progress in the chapter, i can't finish it, have trouble beating it :( . other than this minor issue, the game is great i like the "mix" of FE7 + FE 8 charters etc. looking forward to the next update patch!

I tested your .sav file out, and i have some questions: 1) How did you promote Djambo and Sae'rah? on my save file i didn't promote them to Solider/Marine. do they have the same requirement as Andre to promote? At LVL 10 at battle preparations. 2) on ch 5, i missed getting the Gem which gives 10 EXP per use, um how many uses does this exp gem have? the battle that freezes, it might be a glitch or just that as a bypass that sae'rah shouldn't battle FA (demon king mode)? why would it freeze upon sae'rah battling FA and not any other charater?
  10. well, i was wondering if the code for max gold would work on MD, well, since the bade rom is Sacred stones, and the codes work for sacred stones, it worked for MD! i just turned on the (M) code and the cheat 0: max gold on and it works like in SS FE! lol, with this you can get lots of stuff from the shop/armory and keep the good weapons etc for future ch's :) and access the tower of valni/trials since you will have more than 1k gold it needs. also, for accessing the tower, can you ONLY access it once (like go inside and level up specific charters a bit, then retreat, then go back in after 1 day or so?) and to go back in do you need to wait 1 day to do so?
  11. cool, the auto promote for andre is great :) well since he has two different promos, i can use one for Shiori's path and the other one for Fa's path. yep, like many fe games the gold gets better as the game advances. um, the ARcodes could work for MD since it uses SS as base rom, but it isn't reccmened , so i won't use codes finally, um the save state that i used from v1.2 -> v1.5 it didn't work, but from v1.5 -> v1.6 it did :) just remained the statesav from midnight sun v1.5 to midnight sun v1.6_0.svs (the state format that GPsp uses). looking forward to ch split paths! also does the ch split paths in sacred stones happen at ch 9 or later? i think for SS it was later than chapter 9.
  12. Midnight sun is coming out very nicely, I'm impressed at the hack's epicness so far, looking forward to the "route split" ch's in the future updates. Also i couple questions: um when andre'lv is at 10 does he get to change into a mage/wonder pupil anytime or when the event for him to promote triggers? like when i entered the tower of valni the event for his prom triggered then? also since both his proms both use anima weapons then which is better for him? the tower of valini costs 1000gold as the leader dude says that the entering of the tower, um at this "point of time" in ch 9, the gold that i have is 1365g, and 1000g for one time in the tower is a bit exp, um how can you/or is there a way to farm for Gold in midnight sun up until ch 9/or in ch 9? furthermore why are the enemies at valni tower so strong? it seems to me that your guys (chars) do less dmg than them e.g.. the mages etc at the "tower of valini 2" also can you run only a party of three+two chars that you "specificly" want to lv up and it'll work in the tower of valni? (this way the specific chars can lv up faster to said LV) and could you use a code to get lots of gold so the 1000gold cost for training at the tower of valini isn't an issue at this "point in time" of the hack? (am asking cause I'm playing MD on my psp via GPSP emu GBA and if the code file for sacred stones can work for md that would be cool) ex these are action replay codes for FE: Sacred stones http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/921183-fire-emblem-the-sacred-stones/faqs/37095 in future updates of MD, it'll improve as ch's go on, like in scared stones and other FE's. I'm sure :)

  14. hay guys, thanx for the helpful input, i managed to get Fire emblem III (mystery of the emblem) to run fine with no battle glitches etc on my 2DS using GW FW emunanad and using BlargSNES emu on it :) so, the psp snes emus take a back seat and suck it hard from the Blargsnes emu on 2DS! ahahhahaha. for fe III that is, fe iv and v run fine on psp sues emus, but i'm sure for blargsnes also. question solved!

  16. yea, for FE III, the snes emu mod is particularly picky on that issue. for FE IV / V it runs them fine no glitches or such. on pc in znes the FE III game runs fine no glitches (except for the status bar flickering ) other than that on pc it runs fine, the psp snes emu is the issue :P
  17. hmm, for the Fire emblem III, i patched both v1.0 and v1.1 to the v1.0 and v1.1 versions of FE III, yeah the header thing is an issue here, i tired to add a header to the fe III using sues tool like you said (I'm on windows 7 so it works fine by just double clicking it/ opening it through CMD works fine no need for DOS Box). then i tested it out on my psp sues emu, but when the battle triggers, screen glitches out again :( . maybe i forgot to use the Hotkey (A) for adding a header in snes tool.
  18. hay, everyone, i have some questions regarding the SNES games of FE III and V. For FE III: i have patched the game (both v1.0 / v1.1) in english patch which as stated by romhacking net site is complete: Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo (last updated) my question here is, why when i try and play this game on my psp via Snes emu, during the battle sciences the text glitches and shows weird junk instead of text? any fix for this? i have two snes emus on my psp, one is SNES9x TYL mecum the other is SNES9X EUPHORIA other than the battle text glitch the game is fully playable in english :) For FE V: I'm using the latest (last update for english Tharcia 776 patch: Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 also, has there been since this last patch any new progress on the english translation of thracia 776? and does the patch above only go up to ch 5 in english? the game is playable somewhat with patch 00.06, through somethings like menus isn't translated and such, but is okayish. thanx
  19. finally, i reached ch 8 in v1.5, and this time i have all the chars alive and got two of the three chars i didn't know how to get in v1.2! also in ch 6, the soldier next to Maazt? has a portrait pic, and when you kill him he has a death quote: "at least they didn't kill Melissa" um, im confused here, is this guy a playable char? and who's "melissa" that he was talking about in his death quote?

  21. thanx for this, Pwntagonist! i didn't know about the secret/extra charters or how to get them until this :) in my v1.2 of MD play i missed these (i didn't know about them or such) also, I'm on v1.5 (will up to v1.6) sav transfer etc. I'm on CP five and i noicted this weird thing: not sure if it was in v1.2 (I'm sure it'll be fixed in v1.6?) why is Faratras's HP 9/9? in Ch 3-4 it wasn't? a glitch? or does GPSP emu on psp cause this glitch?
  22. this is great! good job, guys keep it up! looking forward to the rest of the patches, having one patcher with all the mini patches and throwing them all in the patcher with the EU SP (when it comes out) will be awesome :) since everything + the 3rd path (which will be on game) will be translated will be great the patches for content restoration will be most welcomed :) <3

Yay, v1.5 is out ;) thank you Alfred! can't wait to try out the new update of midnight sun hack :) also happy birthday man. um, so v1.5 fixes issues with 1.2 and it has the skirmish battles? cool, um didn't 1.2 at the end have two skirmish battles available? but maybe in v1.2 they had glichtes etc. also, that's great that you can use the save from 1.5 in v2.0 (when v2.0 comes out in the future) anyways, replaying MS from the begining should be very fun :) also 1.5 ends at the split chapter? like in 1.2? or does it continue from ch 9? in 1.2 i managed to finish the final ch but i lost Melinus and Rya in the process :( . this time round i need to be more careful with not losing charaters.
  24. thanx, oh okay i see, so i'll use spoiler tags in the future. ( i figured out how the spoiler tag works, it's quite simple to use). okay so 1.5 will need new sav's okay. but my sav state will/maybe can work with 1.5? looking forward to 1.5 tomorrow!
