  1. You can't apply any patches to DLC without a CFW. I don't even think HANS can load DLC. And even if you do have a CFW, I think that it's stated in the OP somewhere that the process of patching DLC is hard so there's no guide. So, your choices are: Buy a Conquest physical cart and use HANS with that. (But that still won't solve your Revelations issue and it costs more) Get the special edition of the game. (Won't happen unless you have a ton of money you want to waste) I don't think you can get a CFW if you're on the latest firmware. But if you do manage to get a CFW, here are your choices: Learn how to patch DLC. (I haven't seen any guides, but maybe it's not that hard.) Definitely not pirate the special edition, patch that, and buy the other routes as DLC to make yourself not feel bad. If you want a CFW, you'll either need to wait for a new exploit that works on the latest firmware, which may take a while, or buy a 3ds that comes with a firmware that is <= 11.2.0. Hope I helped.
  2. The guide references PackEnglishv5.2. Between 5.2 and 5.7, the secret files have been removed. I would just ignore that step and keep going until you reach a problem because you skipped that step. Hopefully, when you reach the problem, the program will tell you which file you're missing and you can just find it on Google. If you really don't want to make a patched cia yourself, I bet Google would be useful. ;)
  3. Did anybody actually figure out for sure what happens when using the swimsuit patch and online features? Are you banned or something if you have them equipped on party members when you update your castle?
  4. Individually recompressed? Why not just not program something that can compress them one after another for you?
  5. Because there was what seems like a lot of people asking how to use this with HANS, I went and wrote a tutorial on how to use this with HANS on Wololo.net. http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=45669
  6. You should downgrade if you can. Step 1 - Obtain romfs for your version of the game. (From braindump or a rom off the internet.) Step 2 - Download patch stuff Step 2.5 - Extract romfs (Using something like ctrtool) Step 3 - Put patch files into extracted romfs, overwriting old files Step 4 - Repack romfs (https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-romfs-builder.379330/) Step 5 - Put in /hans/titleID.romfs Step 6 - Launch game with HANS using new romfs If you're going to use Braindump, make sure you get the one that dumps romfs and exefs in different files. I think Ctrtool can extract romfs. ctrtool --intype=romfs --romfsdir=romfsdir romfs.bin Assuming your romfs file is called romfs.bin. The braindump page has similar instructions under the FAQ. You could probably figure out how to do these steps by using Google or asking on GBATemp.
  7. Friend Code: 0430-8762-0354 Castle Code: 07079-85382-09663-50054 Revelations Avatar Name - Nathan Castle Name - Nathan's Castle JP Wheat and Radish. Amber and Emerald. Battle level - I don't know. Probably easy.
  8. Should I bother creating the best army ever for online multiplayer, or are there too many cheaters?
  9. Not essential for these patched, but you should still downgrade. It'll be worth it. If you use HANS, I think you won't be able to use online features (if an update for the game is released because HANS can't load updates right now), you won't be able to load DLC while running HANS (You can't use any of your downloaded paths), because of your inability to load DLC, you won't be able to game name swapping or whatever on any of your downloaded paths, and HANS is inconvenient. If you downgrade, you can install a patched version of the game to your home menu and bypass HANS' restrictions. You'll also be able to patch dlc, so you can get name swapping on your downloaded routes too. And you will be able to play online because you'll be able to run the game with any required updates from the eshop.
  10. Dump with Braindump (https://gbatemp.net/threads/braindump-prerelease-dump-game-contents-on-any-system-version.400920/) (I think Braindump extracts the romfs and exefs separately for you already.) Extract romfs (Use Ctrtool and a command located on the braindump page) Download patches (From OP) Open the zip file for the patch. Inside the zip folder, open a folder called patch, then a folder called rom. Copy everything that's in there to the romfs you extracted. Rebuild romfs (https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-romfs-builder.379330/) Put it in appropriate location on sd card. (HANS can give you the path for that. Something like HANS/xxxxx.romfs) There. If you can figure out how to do that, great. Nobody has made a beginner friendly tutorial yet, you should wait for that if you can't figure this out.
  11. Are you guys still planning on releasing the name changing patch by the end of this week? Also, are you going to change the names for the third path when it comes out?
  12. You have to make it yourself. You need the exefs for your version along with the files to build the plugin. The plugin is called layeredFS. Here's the manual: https://github.com/44670/layeredFS/wiki/manual I'm not sure if a built layeredFs plugin is legal to distribute because it requires the exefs to be built.
  13. You need to have something to inject saves, like Powersaves, or already have homebrew to use Oothax. I think smashhax is hard to setup. So you need to buy either Cubic Ninja or Powersaves 3ds. You could also consider buying a copy of Cubic Ninja, and then selling it again.
  14. I spoke too soon. What I thought might change the name was really just a preview of the player's name for the save file. Which would mean the player's name is stored elsewhere and I can't find it. Sorry.
