During other circumstances I'd vote for Hector and Alm too but considering this is the chance for getting an alternate Eirika I can't afford voting for others, I don't want to wait for year 3 for B!Eirika.

I'm jealous. Mine is only at +6 because RNGesus doesn't want to give many Eirikas to merge. The only thing I can boast about is that she has DC.

Good point. All 7 for Eirika it is!

I only recently +10 her. :( I am not even F2P but she is part of the huge red pool. It is funny after I +10 her, she became more common. XD I really hope she will get an upgrade to her weapon next patch with the SS theme.

I run her without any -Blade tomes with Fury (might give her DC) and -Def/+ATK. I love her high HP and Res as it makes Ploys very easy to use on her.

Of course, because Naglfar didn't have any special effects at all (other than its stats of being stronger than Gleipnir, more accurate than Gleipnir, and lighter than Gleipnir and having more durability than Gleipnir), this time, it's completely up in the air what effect it will have.

Because it is lighter and helped with the follow up mechanic, I predict a +SPD or just straight up Follow-up effect.

Don't count Eirika out, she got 6th place last time so she's going to give a fight! I'll rally for B!Eirika everyday so that's 7 votes already

I am torn between Eirika, my fave Female lord (she is +10 yay!), Ephraim (refuses to come home even with $), and Hector. I will probably split it 5 for the twins and 2 for Hector.

Heh, I do understand the feeling. Hector's among the characters I favour, but his rarity makes me seriously think twice about doing anything that would involve merging him. For me, the units I want to give pointed inefficient favouratism to are Florina and female Robin, though my concentration on Arena basically means that I've given them strong initial builds, then back-burnered them for a good long while (at least the next 140k feathers are going toward Arena needs).

I agree with this so much. I think my extra hectors will remain unused for a while.

Ah, yeah, in that situation, I'd use him for Distant Counter, then, though I'm a bit of a cheapskate pragmatist and wouldn't really approach it with the "Hector deserves it" angle, so take that with a grain of salt.

He is one of my fav lords (I basically like him and Ephiram the most). As a FEH unit, he also helped me get to top tier arena until I got high merges.

Unless you're already running four super armours for your initial AA team, with that many copies, I'd probably say run the merged Hector.

I already have a few high merged dragons. A +7 hector won't be increasing my points. Unless he is +8 or higher, he won't help me with scoring. I might or might not get any other Hectors. As @Ice Dragon stated, DC is a very valuable skill. On someone with a 400SP PRF or unique 300SP B skill, it gives 1 extra point.

My conundrum is that I want to merge him because he deserves it and I might be able to +10 him but DC is a very valuable skill and I most likely won't get enough to +10 him.

I bet the new SS characters+TT reward are going to be the 40% bonus while Eirika, Ephraim and Lyon are going to be the 20%, could the 4th bonus be an Askr trio member? Or will it be one of Lute/Tana/Innes/Amelia?

My bet is Lute since she hasn't been re-featured yet.

Edit: I hope Erika gets a refine upgrade with this!

there's no way I'm giving up a Delthea or Micaiah until I have them +10

On this topic, I am torn between feeding my 7 extra Hectors for DC (5 of them are pity breakers) or just merging him. My units are good enough to not need DC but the extra arena points will help me stay in 1k AA.

Mixed-phase +1 Cecilia [=HP, =Res] (Gronnblade+, Darting Blow 3) +6/6/6/6 survives +10 Reinhardt [+Atk] (Dire Thunder, Moonbow, Death Blow 3, Quickened Pulse) +6/6/0/0 with 1 HP and survives +10 Reinhardt [+Atk] (Dire Thunder, Death Blow 3, Attack +3) +6/6/0/0 with 5 HP whereas Life and Death 3 instead of Darting Blow 3 would result in a dead Cecilia in both cases (Life and Death 3 needs Resistance +3 to survive Reinhardt (Attack +3) and Deflect Magic to survive Reinhardt (Quickened Pulse)).

Interesting, this will allow her to run +3SPD seal to double even more people.

Moreover, I don't necessarily view the stat-boosting A-passives as mere "stepping stones" to Fury or LnD. In many cases, I find them a superior option. E.g., for Falchion medics, HP+5 is going to be superior to Fury or LnD. And, for those with monomaniac defenses, I find that a straight boost to their primary defensive stat is better than Fury, since they'll often take minimal damage, and so it's the damage from Fury that will knock them out of QR range. The stat-boosting A-passives are only bad for min/maxing Arena score, but they're often a great option otherwise.

+5HP allows you to heal more HP in 1 go (mainly Armours) but with 3 HP+3 seals, I don't see the need for it. Most of the medics have enough hp to heal everyone above QR range (aside from Arvis).

+Def/Res is only better than fury if you are going into multiple battles. The extra 6 damage taken after damage means nothing when you have done your job. Even then, they'd still prefer CD, DD, Steady Breath, Steady Stance or Warding Stance which are all locked behind 5*. At least ATK/RES +2 is available on a 4* unit however she provides way better skills than using 20k feathers for it.

I don't mind that the best A skills are locked behind 5*. I just want more options :/

The various -blows have their uses, with Death/Darting being the most obvious.  I also run HP +5 in certain situations.

I don't see much use for Darting Blow (especially when you face boosted or higher merged enemies). In most cases a Breaker or QR does the job better. There is also no situation where I would use it over LAD. Can you please give me an example where you have access to any 3-4* fodder where Darting blow is better than the rest? 1 SPD over LAD during player phase doesn't seem very useful.

The defensive blows have even less use. What unit and builds would use them over the other skills (also assuming you have access to the entire 3*-4* roster)?

So, why are Laslow and Rebecca here? Axebreaker and Sol are pretty low demand and Rebecca has the exact same fodder as Florina, and at the same rarity despite being available at higher rarities. Guess they're there to get in the way of better fodder.

Axe breaker is quite valued at higher end arena with the release of the W!Armours.

Cancel Affinity and horsepoker cost 20k each. Everybody on the banner has useful rank 3 skills at four-star, and these were probably meant to be the focus of this… focus.

She is still the ONLY 4* char that gives CA. I don't know about 4* giving max skill is the point of this banner instead of just good fodder (except Rebecca, I want my Kagero!).

  12. 1 minute ago, Vaximillian said:

Yeah, Shanna should have been here and not Mathilda. Hone Atk is more reliably obtained from Olivia in my opinion.

Olivia offers nothing while Mathilda offers Raidersbane and CA which are much more valued than Knockback.

Mathilda is here for Cancel Affinity. Oscar's the one who probably shouldn't have been here.

I'm not sure why Rebecca is here either. She doesn't really have anything good to inherit that cannot be obtained from a 3* pull

Oscar has Lance Breaker 3 and dual rally. Rebecca is the only bad one here that should have been Kagero for Dagger Breaker and Poison Dagger.

To be fair, it's not like the bar is set THAT high... but don't let me take from others satisfaction.

Also, while I haven't summoned yet, I'm still wondering... what the fuck is this banner? Like, is this really a thing someone decided we needed?

Yes we do. It is the BEST skill fodder banner. Every breaker (except Dagger breaker) with TA, CA, Fury, DB and Reposition to boot. Rebecca shoyld have been a Kagero.

    Sadly, I got a 3* Donnel. :( I would spend more orbs if I wasn't trying to get NY!Azura...

  14. I wish there were more readily available A skills that are good. All the good ones are locked to 5*/limited units except Fury+LAD(3*) and TA/Sturdy Blow(4*). These latter skills are all in the super bloated Red pool as well so getting them isn't that easy plus it forces you to pull reds for any good and cheap A Skill fodder. In contrast, every C skill you need is available at 3*, even many of the Drives are available at 4*. Almost every B skill is available at 3* as well. Giving a unit B/C skills is super easy but you are basically stuck with Fury for A skill as the most common and best value.

Every B/C skill has their uses. I have lost and won many Arena matchs/defences with Lunge and Pass. Obstacle has its uses in training low level units and GHB/BHB strats. I love my stacking spurs. But Defiant Skills are just trash and basic stat skills are just stepping stones for Fury/LAD. I am not going to sacrifice my GHB/TT units as skill fodder.

Kind of expecting the +ATK hero to be last as well, especially considering It seems like they were hinting at Leviatein being the next hero and defecting from Surtur.

If we do get Levi, I will whale so hard for her... but honestly, I hope Erika's refine bonus is the Blade effect.

Legendary Hero stat boosts are linked to the character and not to the element. Wind is normally Spd, and water is normally Res, but Fjorm and Gunnthra have their boosts switched for their elements.

Yes but I still think the next one will be +Def despite the Wind and Water switcheroo. I don't think the meta is ready for a +3ATK blessing yet.
