    Raven, Blade and Dire thunder. He has enough ATK and defensive stats to take no damage while oneshotting with TA Raven. As the highest ATK blue calv mage, his -Blade version is enough to oneshot Nino. Everyone already knows his Dire thunder build.

    There is a big difference at tier 20 but an even bigger difference in the higher end of tier 20 where you face people who spend money on the game. 

     

    I recommend creating a new account and playing with Brave Roy if you don't have him. Now with that experience, try to see how a flying unit with the same kit but cannot be countered feels. Trust me it is hella fun safely obliterating things while having more BST and being immune to both Counters and Terrain (horses have high MOV but big terrain issues). It is an expensive build requiring you to sacrifice Ike + Gale Force while also having access to either Hinoka or H!Nowi for the sweet sweet Hone Fliers. Give them Flyer formation an they will basically have 3 MOV range.

     

    Rein is great but not as great as he used to be as IS keeps on pumping out counters to him. It has gotten to the point where many Reds can survive and KO him if built to do so. I still love my +10 Rein but I cannot say I don't enjoy Firesweep flyers any less. They make the game even more trivial than he does.

    This is because they require heavy investment. In the upper echelon of tier 20, I see them quire frequently.

    Green actually has a high RES unit in the form of Axezura. She usually takes on Fae/nowi etc in Arena Assault. (omg a Dancer fighting!!!!)

    Like any other EP unit, you could also just let them attack into you while you have WTA. Luckily most of them aren't running Deflect Melee yet to survive any initiation while still being a great EP unit.

    Also Ice Dragon isn't saying they don't exist, just that there aren't many. On the top of my head I can only name 7, Hawkeye, Sheena, Camilla, Anna, Titania, Azura and Fae (she kinda counters almost any top tier unit now XD so happy I +10'd mine).

    Just because F2P players can't easily access fully built tanky units doesn't mean that they don't exist. My +10 -HP/+ATK Fae could already survive any +10 +SPD Fury Falcon user (disregarding seals) before 2.0. There are plenty of users that make their units tanky like this guy that made his Stahl a Reinhardt counter:

    The fact muse most units aren't meant to be tanky and the ones that are also have weaknesses doesn't mean that weapon upgrades should break them. +4 DEF/RES is more than enough to help EP units do what they need to do (counter specific units and match-ups) and have an advantage over choosing +ATK and +SPD.

    Besides my Clair just took 2 H!Henrys in an Armor Emblem (with 2 Jakobs) to the face and took like 21 dmg from their nukes with them being fully armor buffed. It pays to have 54 RES. She also just took a fully buffed Flyer Litrblade Corrin to the face. Its like the perfect Mage counter, she only has to watch out against Life and Death Nino that can outspeed and double her with full buffs (1 hit alone from a fully buffed Gronnbalde Nino doesnt kill her, but the 2. attack does ._.). And yes she runs Distant Counter. If only Regnal Astra was inheritable she would be such a dominant force ._., instead i have to run a 3 cooldown Iceberg -_-

    Besides if it were a Dark Excalibur Close Counter Merric with moonbow or glimmer Xander would most likely be dead

    You are saying very conflicting things about H!Henry when comparing him with the other mages. If one gives him Gronnowl, he will have enough speed to double your clair and more than enough ATK to kill her thanks to Spur Armour giving ATK and SPD. With Armor March, he has better movement than Boey as he has no reduction from Forest tiles. H!Henry has 7 more SPD and 4 more ATK then Boey so with just 2 Spur Armor he is more dangerous than the 3x Spur SPD set up Boey in your example.

     

    You say you fear a fully buffed Nino but H!Henry with Gronnblade has the exact same SPD as her and up to 10 more ATK (I don't need to sac any 5* Nino's. Yay!) A single partner with Hone Armour and Fort Def/Res seal is enough to make him more dangerous than Nino. But I understand that most people run him in Ward Armor teams instead of taking advantage of his great offensive stats.

     

    You underestimate how bad Merric's attack is. Even with +ATK, a CC +10 Merric with Dark Excalibur (not available yet) will only have 44 ATK. Fury Xander with Fort Cavaly has 28 Res and WTA. He takes 7x7+(13 for Glimmer or +18 for Moonbow). Hone ATK will make little difference.

    Ayra 1 (my first Ayra ever and she is -SPD+HP. Makes me sad)

    I gave up sniping Fjorn... Desire Detector too strong.

    In total, 27 5* out of ~330 pulls. Not bad (a little above average). Wish I was a bit luckier.

    Just give her Swordbreaker to kill the low res Swordies. +Def will help survive DC. Guidance Seal + Grimoire is such a wonderful utility combo!

    Sadly, this is how True Random works and I pull knowing exactly what I am getting myself into. At least the game gave me Bow Lyn and Mia on my first set of 15 orbs for the other 2 banners.

    How do you have a +10 Nowi and not Nino??? I understand Eirika though... Mine is only +8 and I dolphined for her. Too many reds.

    I need feathers to build a +10 Nowi to replace my +6 Rein. I am already commited to a +7 Fae so I can't make a +10 Nino for a while (I finally found a -ATK/+SPD one too!)...

    But this is making him into a budget Roy and does not play off his stength of being a better mage tank DC user. Either way, I like that it allows him to be built in different ways to fill different roles now.

  11. Eliwood is a better mage killer than Roy. Before Durandal only gave +4 ATK on initiation. With Blazing Durandal he gets +3 ATK during enemy phase too. 53 ATK (59 with cavalry buffs) is enough for him to 1shot almost any green mage while charging a 3CD special and nuke on player phase. You can even give him a 5 CD skill with desperation brash assault to basically guarantee a kill.

     

    Edit: Alternatively with Deflect Magic and Summoner support alone, he can even survive Reinhardt and kill him while charging Aether to nuke and heal on player phase. Blazing Durandal will give Eliwood a big boost in options at the cost of only 1 ATK.
