  1. So ignoring the bit where magik knight is availible to (almost) the entire cast, is availible to the entire magic using cast, and is one of the better classes in the game (when used by the correct units) because bolt axe. Dipping MK gives str+2/lunge/Sblow/trample. Value.
  2. Sky knight Selena is really bad. Just spam bows. You get free rallybots in the form of kids and rallymaster later. Corin is worth reclassing if the reclass gives better 1-2 combat.
  3. There are 5 icons total if memory serves. The boss of ch25 really struggles to deal significant damage to a severely underleveled dst+ corrin playing defensively. Hoshidian Srank classes have equal or lower +crit hiddens than nhorian Sranks and are packing much lower flat damage. Sword/Spear/Snipe all have 10% while MN has 5%.
  4. Ch10 is fun provided you play aggressively. Knight!Effie is significantly worse on lunatic so if you're using her long term get A+ with mozu asap for a better class and early quick draw (+possible elbow room) percy. Or just knock her up and bench her.
  5. Lunge a hellmurder unit (Talisman Xander, Ophelia, Silias, etc) through walls (or the ch12 pots)or just gain 2 free boots for a turn. It's really sick. Bounus points for lunging to break a lunge chain or to innitiate a lunge chain early for even more free move. Enemy lunge is really useful for the same reasons. The player has staff savant, winged shield, inevitable end, and point blank. They're just called convoy, seal (mid chapter), damage stack, and swap weapon. The player just gets to cheat and not burn skill slots on what is to them a worthless effect. The player also has these from ch1. The CQ ai is "smart" but these are complex actions and ai is still ai. As for end vs stack... end is a more polite option when the player is constantly outnumbered. Bold stance is rude and stupid but, it's also a final boss only awakening throwback on a unit with impossible stats, an impossible weapon, a selfie pairup using the same weapon without replicate, and dragonskin. All things considered stance is the least offensive thing here.

  7. Excal straight up cannot punch through dracoshield Jedah. Double crit ragnarock works though because stupid high might. It takes rediculous str to killer bow him down and tigerstance builds way too slowly imo.
  8. There is no reason to save sakura and hinoka in that map. Fighting the boss group on their mountain is super safe. Vulnary is all the healing you need. Hold hot oni and let ninja dual strike off corin if you get less than perfect speed rolls. Actually do this anyways to make ch5 even easier. Past that mother is a free win, ch6 is free exp, and you get tonics in ch7. If Corrin turns out badly just marry MN!Silias and ride his D to victory. Corrins stats don't matter at all past ch2. Level ups are fixed on lunatic.

Lunge is really good for the player o.o Also there are a lot of rpg's where status and instant death are not only useful but extremely good (ex: etrian odyssey, FF1, any game with aoe sleep ever, freeze and enfeeble in this game). The good player poison strike is named savage blow and it's extremely strong. Scarlet made a lot of babies before ch13 happened. Everyone has point blank with no-dlc. Mini bow and shining bow are both strong. You're presented with positioning based puzzles using the same tools availible to the player that reward long term strategic planning in a srpg. Oh no.
  10. If you merchant an item it goes straight to convoy. This may screw you out of gradivus/mage ring/forged killer bow use depending on your merchant use and stance on silver farm though. Witch map can be faster depending on warp AI if you just deploy 1-2 range units (pegs do work esp with a mailed over gradivus though forged javalin works well enough) and it gives more exp/better distribution. The boss is really obnoxiously bulky though. Wells on Celica makes killing act 4 Jedah much less stressful.
  11. Ok. Felecia walks left with niles and a str tonic. What a facinating strategic difference. Edit: You split on the village, take village, regroup on the not frozen unit, and run before reinforcements spawn. Then you have arbitrarily high number of turns to get north village. No rng or stat requirements past splattering dm's.
  12. I've posted this quite a few times now... str+2/faire/trample holding zerk!Corrin with capped str, tonics, rallies, and some number of statue boosts (depending on the unit). Is the build for splatting takumi with the brave axe. Artur goes overkill with Elbow room/str+2/faire/trample/luna. Vanguard has less triangle control than a unit with S rank axes. Vanguard cannot one shot nerds with a +2-3 hand axe. Vanguard is still not actually tanking on EP. Vanguard is still infantry. There is no benefit to this outside of heavy sword. There are many viable builds, but the meat of those setups comes in ch7-13 where resources are limited. There's like 6-7 total viable final class/setups total with slight variations per-unit used. Anything outside of those builds is "played" asshole clenched in a huddle behind viable setups. I ignore dlc, mc abuse, and grinding because not everyone has access, and some of it breaks the game hard. I assume highest difficulty for builds because a lunatic build will function on hard while a hard build will not function on lunatic. Among the viable setups Arthur really only has access to damage stack zerk build without insane resource dumping so that's the build I discuss. His alternates are pure support/euginics. They're still very useful but folks like to see big numbers. Edit: Levant you rescue warp to takumi and kill him with a damage stack nuke, stat drops are not a thing, ever. There are 3 builds that can do this and zerk is the cheapest. This is not "my build" it's how the game works.
  13. Takumi counters into a full guard gauge while Justice has 9x+ hitrate with 2x% crit and 2x% luna to cover potential wiffed swings and deals 25x3 flat damage properly stacked. (Any zerk with a positive str cap can replicate this kill tbh, justice is just cheaper, safer, and bogo). The chance of failure here is well under 1%. You use bronze for hit very early game, crit resets in the window where lightforge bronze is useful are not a thing. You use luck books and Percy's personal to remove the chance of relevant crits when crit resets are a thing. These are pretty rare as Fi/Be are walking vats of hp. Arthur is not viable in vanguard.

  15. -The simplest build is +Mag/-Luck Dark Mage!FCorrin, just pick up nos and roll. -The best way to play hard mode is by clicking Lunatic. -Use tonic's and meals liberally. -There are seal's other than the heart seal. -Kidnap is really busted. -Fighter tree is busted as hell. -DM tree is busted as hell -Damage stack is busted as hell. (Looks at Silias's personal) -Lances are worthless past D rank. -Use birds in the midgame. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: We get it already. An axe killed your family with numbers and now you hate both with an unspeakable passion.
  16. ...He's tied for the highest skill growth in the game (highest flat if Beruka doesn't heart seal) and has a massive lead in axe skill over every other user. So you do realize he has 90-100% hit on every evasive enemy in the game from ch10 onwards with an effective 0% risk of relevant crit right? (This includes ch17 and 25) He also has the lowest invest/highestORKO% kill on LCQ CH28 Takumi of any unit, he make's another axe user with his dick that can go toe-to-toe with Camilia at her join in some setups, and frankly you're deploying him for a good chunklett of the game regardless to get that juicy A support for Zerk!FCorrin pairup shenanigans. (Corrin eventually want's DM/Fi/Wy tree's) (Before someone say's Yato, the RNG for 2 DF's (one in ch27, one in ch28 minimum) is higher than the relevant rng of a zerk Arthur over the entire god damn game. Non DF Yato kills on these bosses require using a 1-1 range Corrin the entire game, this is really bad. You use Brave axe zerk/Forged lightning Sorc here) Not turning this into yet-another-Levant-hate's-zerks-thread, but yes Arthur is good. (No seriously I'm out ,that crap is obnoxious)
  17. Obligitory Arthur is actually good post. Also why is 27 even mentioned, it's an extremely short chapter with 2 total rounds of combat.
  18. Corrin!Sophie is way better at running Luna/Sol bow knight that dodgetanks with breakers than she is megatank. Silas's person makes him fat as hell though Sol+MN with VoF holding Corrins pretty much unkillable inLCQ much less BR.
  19. Lunatic: 7-13 highly polished maps with 10 as a high and 11 as a low. Resource management is tight but you have all the tools you need 14-28 Walk forward with your second shop blenders and win. Game vomits cash.
  20. Ch7 C> Ch8>B Mozu+treehouse>A Invasion 1+tree+seed = S. You get a free seed from like 5(?) visits. It takes very little effort to max non-Azura support for a map and it can be maxed in as little as one turn. CQ is very busted. ----------------------------- On Topic: If Jakob takes paladin off Silias and marrige off Corrin early, you have 5 heart seals open at second shop (Butler is stronger in Ch8 anyways). Corrin has dibs on one so... Odin wants 2 though he can sub a waifu/bro seal and take the ch16 heart if needed. Mozu wants 1 if you go early archer over BK/Cav. Elise wants one on join (yes, wyvern!elise, she's very busted) or 2 arms scrolls and a sis seal on ch14. Dwyer wants one for obvious reasons. Laslow wants one immediately to become the much more viable Lafast. End of list. All other strong reclass abuse comes later or uses not-heart-seals (Camilia wants savage blow and can take Be off beruka/ch16 seal if she's needed in ch19.) Only 4 of these hard require heart seal (3if we count DF Lafast). There are very few runs that are limited by early seals in CQ
  21. Support from treehouse was not removed. Just the minigame. In casual play there's no rng here, invasion one gaurentees porkilation.
  22. Really strong facetouching rolls + seed of trust + fast support. 3 chapters, 4 if you do invasion 1. It works.
  23. Every non-mc abuse ltc gets the marrige by ch9. It's a thing. Vantage sorc can hit 20/15 in ch20. Killing maps gives a large amount of exp. Realisticly you hit 20/15 in ch22 and do a paraloge for LoD, you don't actually need the damage boost before ch23.
  24. Dywer's paraloge gives some pretty sick loot if you one turn it to save his armor bro's. If you grind it the exp is absurd (20/x dude waaay early), and it's availible before ch9 without scumming MC for points. ------------------------------- Odin realisticly gets 2-2.5 levels in ch8 safely in casual play then you sit his ass on the throne in invasion 1 holding nos+waifu and go make a sandwich to build death. Samurai Odin is lame but vantage+life or death is beyond busted on a sorc. Leo is worse than Odin because he builds to vantage sloooowly and Odin litteraly makes a better unit with his dick before Leo's join chapter.
