  1. I like the designs of Haitaka, Kumagera, Nichol, Senno and Candace, and the first 2 have some nice extra skills. Currently, Candace (from Museum Melee) has been very helpful as a 7-move lockpicking staff-user with B in both ranks. It's too bad she has eh growths and can't reclass to get skills outside of scrolls, but at least she's reliable for staff-using and sniping, and I use her more often than a third of my team.

  2. Did they fix the issue in the japanese version that causes them to be unable to return to their default class if it is not norh prince/princess for the us release?

I checked with my Bond Unit and she could reclass between Nohr Princess, my Avatar's and my friend's Avatar's talents without problems. I can't say if there would be an issue when there's a shared talent or the main class is somehow not a talent.

In our case, the one I got had my hair color and boon, with my friend's hair color, bane and talent as main class, and it was viceversa on their file. Both BU's had the same personal skill, default name, and my friend's build, the latter could be due to my friend getting her first, since mine appeared 2 days and 2 visits later.

I think there might be a glitch where if you recruited someone's Avatar/have an old version in the logbook, you might not get a Bond Unit until you remove them. Either that, or you have to unlock a child paralogue/read the Deeprealms explanation first, or there's something else I am unaware of.

  3. Can units registered in the logbook carry promotion seals, like the Hero's Brand (for the Lodestar class) and the Fell Brand (Grandmaster)?

Also, is it possible to farm permanent stat-boosting items in Revelations?

Units in the logbook are weapon/item-less but they keep the class they were in when added to it. I haven't checked if they keep memory of DLC classes they were in if not currently in one; someone else could answer this part.

You could, but it would not be very reliable, and you would need more time and money (or time + more time playing castle/DLC battles) than in Awakening. Challenges with Ninja/Outlaw-related classes are the only ones that drop items now, and they usually hold staves, unlike Awakening where it seemed like over half the time they had a stat-booster item, and you could manipulate Reeking Box drops easily. In a positive, between the enemy gold drops and the sparkling tiles, they usually pay themselves. Also, upgrade your lottery after chapters 14 and 20 for a higher chance at a grand prize, which can be a stat booster.

  4. Aside the two on the Dusk Armories you can build, there is 1 in chapter 21 of Revelation and the battle rank 825 reward for all versions. Then it's up to luck to get more in the Dusk Lottery or the Museum Melee DLC.

  5. Here are some Buddy Seal related questions I know have been answered before, but I forgot the answers and haven't re-found them today (they're not on the usual Seal explanation guides).

If the Avatar's alternate class is the same as their A support buddy's main class, would the Avatar be able to buddy seal to that character's secondary class. Example: Male Avatar has Samurai as alternate, would buddy sealing Hinata get him Oni Savage or Samurai?

Can Shigure and male Kana A+ their brothers to buddy seal with them?

Does anyone know what the Buddy Seal is called in the North American version? Friend Seal?

  6. Ice Blood won't be triggered if the enemy is adjacent to Flora.

Kodachi and Hand Axe cannot trigger Sol. Umbrella has only 1 Mt and Tomahawk is B-rank.

-> "Sol + Ice Blood" hardly become nice.

I didn't know about the 'not triggering while adjacent' part, that's less useful than I thought it was, but it can still come in handy and Sol can be played around with. That means if she got Counter and isn't fully healed, she would trigger either regardless of enemy position? I'm going to think more into Oni Savage as a Nohr Avatar alternate class then, specially since it's unobtainable otherwise there.

  7. If you want a physical class within her class set, Brave Hero's good for a try with the downside of 2 E weapon ranks. She has her highest HP/Skl/Spd growths there, 2nd highest Str/Def growths, and gets +2 HP/Def and +4 Str on reclass. She also gives +4 Skl/+3 Spd/+3 Def/+1 Res to her A support partners. There's also some nice synergy between Sol and Ice Blood (if not at full HP, she gets damaged, damages back and then might heal some of it on the counter).

For a smoother transition, there's Dread Fighter. She keeps her B knife rank and can work on her Sword/Axe ranks while working towards getting Aggressor. She gets +4 Str, +5 Res(+ Magic Damage reducing skills) and +15% HP/+10% Res growths from the reclass, making her great to fight mages with.

If you want to take advantage of her staff rank, she'd be good as is. For magic class, there's April's witch class, and hybrid, Eriotto's recommendations (which your Avatar has to give her via marriage).

  8. I thought only amiibo Lucina, cipher Lucina and 1 other female per file can get Awakening because there's only 1 Exalted Emblem, unless it's been released as a scroll or the emblem's in more quantities somewhere.

    I meant just by numbers.

Going to answer your question fully, just because I also wanted to find out:

    1 male 1 female Avatar/Kanna duo
    4 male 3 female 1st gen/2 male 2 female 2nd gen in all paths

    8 male 9 female 1st gen/4 male 4 female 2nd gen Hoshido/IK
1 male 1 female* Hoshido exclusive

    9 male 9 female 1st gen/4 male 4 female 2nd gen Nohr/IK

    1 male Hoshido/Nohr Lv3 Hot Springs recruit
1 male IK Lv3 Hot Springs recruit
1 female DLC-only Anna for all paths

Counting Anna, Hoshido/IK have even ratios (21:21 and 33:33), while Nohr is 21:20, but there's a 35:34 male/female ratio of total characters, making Fuuga break the even ratio like Priam did in Awakening.

[spoiler=*]*Might as well count as such

  9. Hinoka: Guard Naginata
    Camilla: Camilla's Sexy Axe
Sakura: Mikoto's Spirit Yumi/Sakura's Small Baton
    Elise: Lightning/Elise's Young Staff

A Princess Staff that only the 4 of them could use would have been good, although Camilla would have needed a buddy/spouse to get a staff using class. If it had a similar effect to Elise's Young Staff and was sellable, it would make up for the limited stock of Physics/Autumn Festals and given the princesses something unique.

  10. More magical classes is a must honestly. I'd like to see things like Anima - Masters or something that just use one element of weapon or something. Speaking of magic, I feel things could be more interesting with it. Why have elements if you aren't going to do much with them? Have wind hit an enemy and then reduce the speed of other enemies near by or something. How about Earth magic to create temporary walls that stop the allies or enemies from advancing certain ways? Think about it:

Earth magic could have : Create Wall, Pitfall-- an attack that stops movement and causes the unit to take damage if they fall in hole (you could make them take more damage from movement types or make it 3x damage for mounted units), mud armor (reduces speed, ups defense)...

As of now, I feel like after 14 games magic is STILL incredibly boring here.

I think there's a lot of potential in this and they are already applying part of it with the Dragon Vein points in Fates. Instead of locking them to royals, they could lock some of the effects to certain specialists or classes. Obstacles/Pitfalls could be Light Runes/Mines only Earth mages could set, there would be new class/personal skills or tome effects that relate to their element (something like Bastian's Corrosion), and some of the Dragon Vein spot effects like the acid rain and 1 turn freezing could return on certain maps with a lot of water or ice. Some restrictions would be necessary, but it would encourage use of different units and add to replayability with more ways to play each chapter (if you could use the same resource for different effects depending on your team).

  11. I don't know if we will get unlimited Emblems for Lodestar/Great Lord, but it seems like there might be DLC for the Drain skills, since Strength Drain was the only missing droppable scroll from the Vanguard DLC. Maybe they throw in the Stance+ and other skills somewhere too, hopefully on DLC that also gives unlimited Hero-King/Exalted emblems (and a female Fellblood Emblem if possible).

Part of me thinks IS would troll us at some point by putting the Emblems/skill scrolls on chests and having Luck Drain be the most likely to appear (which would help money-raising Midorikos and Annas, but have little use after the first 2).

  12. Also just out of curiosity, anyone have the romaji versions of the critical hit quotes for the fathers/kids at least?

Or kanji... I'm not too picky. But I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I don't know Japanese to help you directly or know if this is complete, but here's a page where you can check all the battle lines of the characters (including amiibo) in the table. From there, you could use a romaji converter.

  13. Can you gift amiibo-exclusive accessories (like the Radiant Medallion and Robin's Bookshelf) to other players when you visit their castles?

Apparently, the answer to this one is no.

Do both amiibo accessories become available for sale in your accessory shop after the amiibo character gives you an option to receive one of either?

Also, once gifted any accessory, can a player use it on any character or only their Avatar?
