  1. So I'm going to presume, "No, SM/SD has not been hacked so that myrmidons aren't fucked, fighters/warriors aren't broken, choosing your units based on class isn't banal since the only three stats that are actually worth a fuck are HP, Strength, and Speed, and you can actually make relying on unit dodging a real, feasible tactic throughout the entirety of the game." Gotcha. Also, hard modes based on broken enemy stats are fucking idiotic.
  2. At least SM gives an indication of keeping all of the necessary items you need, unlike FE6.
  3. Swordmasters had +15 Critical bonus in FE7/8, and +30 in FE6. And are you seriously suggesting that SD/SM's weapon rank bonuses outdo FE6-8's WTA, and that +10 avoid does jack fuck? For reals?
  4. Oh yeah, that one part in chapter 10x where Roro uses those hammers! ...for H1 and Normal.
  5. So that the hit/critical rates/weapon triangle calculations are the same as in the GBA series? I'd actually like to have an incentive to have weapon triangle advantage and use myrmidons/swordmasters, call me crazy.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj1_YrjjA_8 Sweet moves bro. Seriously though, great work so far! :)
  7. FE5 Noel Canyon says "hi". Find a light source for this one and give it some more shading. Skin looks... REALLY pale (unless that was the point) and the neck feels like it needs some shade as well.
  8. Darkened the bottom of Roy's greaves to match his exposes shoes, moved shield, increased size of arm guards... I don't know if I should revert the shoe colors (or darken the gray coloring above the black shading). Would you guys say the shield stands out now? Should I lower it? Should I also revert Roy's collar back to the way it was in #3?
  9. After a bunch of months of doing nothing, I finally decided to give this another go, keeping the original sprite pose as per Lenh's suggestion. Modified Raven's shoulder band, and imported Hector (Great Lord)'s greaves, changed some colors, ended up with this: 1. Normal 2. First attempt 3. Third attempt 4. 3, but with more neck exposed and some shading on the shield. Considering changing the hand guards, too. I'm wondering how I can get the shield to look more say... distinguished from his arms. Also wondering if I got the angle of the thing right this time.
  10. First thing that comes to mind, proving once and for all that I need to undergo serious psychological therapy.
  11. I'm considering redoing this altogether, using the SoS standing pose as the base; First I'd try to define his actual dimensions, minus the plate armor, but the shoulder on the left side presents a problem: his tunic would match the same color as his cape. Second, I'd try to draw his tunic in accordance with the Kakusei redesign; [what seems to be] a long-sleeve blue tunic (with black and blue sleeves) with a black vest, along with what appears to be black pants underneath and gray-ish, nondescript shoes (boots? whatever). And then I'd try to add the shoulder band, his leg armor, his wrist guard, his shoulder guard, and his sword. But it seems like if I throw all of that together I'm afraid that even with shading, all the different elements might boil down to only a couple of pixels each. Combine that with the fact that I'm really not experienced with drawing sprites and I think this might be out of my league. :P Should I try making a mannequin frame as a base and try from there? Should I just use the SoS standing frame as a base? @Mewiyev: I think I should recolor the "attached to his leg sword"... it was actually the Sword of Seals' sheath. I suck at shading, but I'll see what I can do if I'm under the assumption that the light source is in front of him. Thanks so far! :)
  12. And yeah, this is the first time in over a year that I've even touched a battle sprite, so I'm 99.99999% sure this is going to need to be re-edited. And that's where YOU GUYS come in! -Don't know if the sword needs reworking -The shoulder-mounted shield seems off, not sure if it's an angle issue, or... -I didn't add any of his shin armor -Is the wrist pad too big? -Any other detail I'm missing/need to add?
  13. Does this mean if I donate $20 I get a free T-Shirt?
  14. Considering the number of maps it took to get anything done in FE7, you'd have at least 4 chapters leading up to the castle invasion if Superluigi was going for the same pacing. Yeah, if Superluigi decides to be nice and give the Sword of Seals infinite uses.
  15. So, you're adding extra chapters, huh? So does that mean you're going to make a map illustrating the approach of Castle Bern, instead of the original game where you're suddenly inside it after the Shrine of Seals? It'd make for a ballista-spammingly exploitable challenge, and you'd only have to use FE7's Chapter 24 map which is already in the game's data which is pointless to point out because knowing you you'll just redesign the map anyway lolololol
  16. Awww, thanks, KingMarth64! *offers hug*

  17. The soldier doesn't look fundamentally flawed, it just needs some softening/border thickening. Then again, I can't sprite to save my life, so what do I know? :P
  18. Four months? For just Japan alone? For a country with such a breakneck-fast economy, four months sounds like a pretty leisurely amount of time, but then again I know next to nothing of Japan's games industry. And even if they're so far in development, what would suggest that the videos/pics aren't from an earlier build? Implied professionalism? By the way, what was the dumped NES game?
  19. You guys know how in this picture, text next to the weapon icon says "FuTsurugi Farushion", in which "fu" means "Seal" and "Tsurugi" means "Sword", and... Falchion. Judging that they used the same Kanji for The Sword of Seals here as they did in FE6, combined with Falchion, this seems more like a placeholder weapon name, if not a placeholder weapon. And unless he's having it stolen from him in the game's plot, you probably wouldn't have your Lord's final weapon this early on in the game. Sorry if this sounds overly obvious or if anyone else mentioned this.
  20. Very well. Oh, you guys meant about this game?
  21. That's too long, we need to abbreviate it. How about FSH#12? I changed my mind. Fire Emblem 3DS should be abbreviated 3DFSH#13S.
  22. I'd have a girlfriend if I had that name :(I still think 3DFES is the best abbreviation in the history of ever.
  23. Confirmed! Nintendo's abbreviating it 3DFES. Here's an approximate translation of why they named it as such: Oh, and also Kid Icarus Uprising is now abbreviated 3KIDS, for the same reason. Pretty suspect if you ask me.
  24. Tell me if these revisions need revising. To which I'll promptly revise them. Revisions FOR THE WINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN At this point I wonder if anything else would be overcrowding it. I'd pictured Master Glimb to be someone to tend to his garden when he's not busy, and thus the aligned trees. But alas, I went out and "randomized" them anyway. I tried to keep the trees near the bow's range, and I just might revise it again to have NONE out of the bow's range. (come to think of it, this style is pretty reminiscent of Gaiden's maps, aren't they?) Same went for the original town, but that made me rethink its status, and then revised it to be a pretty low-class, yet endearing little trading market village.
