It's random? That's annoying. I'm gonna vote for Dancing Micaiah five times. Not because I actually expect her to win, but because I'd kinda like to get her (hoping there's a Red Orb on the Free Random 2018 Seasonal banner for this reason) but don't really care since it's random (and my first choice to vote for, Legendary Azura, is pretty likely to win on Blue so why bother voting for her).

Triple Threat could be interpreted as an Ice Mirror-type effect, something like “After Special triggers based on foe’s attack, boosts unit’s next attack by total damage that was reduced.” Who would Giga Excalibur be given to? I agree on Thunder Armads and Exalted Falchion though, I wish they could be given to the non-Legendary Hector and Marth since I can’t pull either of their Legendary versions.

@Sunwoo Yeah, the guaranteed 5-Stars having natures caught me by surprise too. I got lucky today, Normal Girl Tharja came home! And she’s +DEF/-HP. Gotta choose between Raudhrowl+ and Candleabra+ for her now... Congrats on your cat princess @Poimagic!

2017's an easy call for me. 3 of the 4 Red units would be good for me (Nowi can be merged into the one I currently have, Tharja and Camilla both look good and are units I don't have, Leo's not someone I want... but I suspect I'll get him if I see a Red Orb), and I can go Green if I can't get get Red since I have a decent chance of getting something good off that banner. Deciding between Red and Blue for 2018 will be difficult, since Blue has Ninian, Lyn and Niles that I'd like to get but Red has basically everything from Summer Young Tiki onward that would be good to pull. At least I've got some time before I have to make that call.

We'll probably get that when we're closer to the next update dropping. That's why I'm summoning Red on 2017 (that, and I think it has a 66% chance of a good unit, although the 33% chance of Leo makes me think I might regret it). I was unclear on this too, though I think it's that Dragonflowers don't affect Arena and Aether Raids... I think. Dunno for sure tho.

I was expecting them to announce the next Feh Channel's date, not just drop a surprise Feh Channel on us. Nice surprise though. Those one-time-only literally-any-seasonal-from-2017 and literally-any-seasonal-from-2018 banners interest me (gonna have to look up seasonals now, though I'll probably go Red on 2017 since it has Winter Tharja and Blue on 2018 since it has LA Lyn, Bridal Ninian, Summer Camilla, and Halloween Niles [I think]). Although, will these units be neutral, or have boons/banes? Find And Vote Heroes... I won't complain about the chance to get one free Hero and then have 4 popular (and most likely good) Heroes on a banner. On that note, I will be voting for Legendary Azura every day of this event, hopefully with double-votes. Also, free Orbs. I will never complain about free Orbs. Give them to me now IntSys. And Feh got to eat her cake! It didn't get stolen by Effie this year! What weapon refinery update were you expecting?

Re: The Bolded: I don't think this is necessarily the case. Farfetched Heroes banners in the past have been 2 male and 2 female units, so unless Lif gets onto Farfetched Heroes 3 (which I feel would be farfetched, since he's most likely being saved for an End Of Book III banner that he can share with Thrasir and either Hel or an introduced-mid-Book-III OC), Ranulf's got the last spot since there's only one other guy above him that could qualify for Farfetched Heroes (Bruno). However, I too am happy that Ranulf placed highly, considering that I wanted him to do well. If Duma is any indication of what to expect for Mythic Heroes, then Medeus is gonna show up as a Mythic Hero at some point in the future, so you shouldn't have to worry about him not popping up by 2020.

@Interdimensional Observer Yeah, I wasn't entirely sure how Ninian!Eliwood could work... but now I kinda wanna see that (if only I could draw). Elbert's dagger would be a neat CYL Dagger unit, and he'd probably end up pretty strong if he's referencing that bit. @Lord-Zero I'm sure Roy-clothes!Eliwood could be made to work, though yeah Elbert is more likely. Mostly suggested Roy!Eliwood as a joke since Roy's CYL alt was based on Eliwood. @Tybrosion I assume Lif got as high as he did because people want to play with Sokkvabekker (I know I want his weapon or something like it, Tailtiu would appreciate being able to enter Wrathperation range without having to take a hit, and Celica would like free entry to Brazensperation range as well). So, now that the results are real, congrats to everyone who voted for and/or is a fan of Alm, Micaiah, Eliwood and Camilla! I'm pretty happy Eliwood got into 2nd, he's gonna be my free pull unless I get him on the CYL3 banner and/or someone else is insanely busted (so, whoever the Colorless unit is). Also, I'm glad to see Ranulf's position is good enough to maybe get him a Farfetched Heroes spot (assuming Lif is being saved for End Of Book III Banners like what happened with the Muspell units and Ylgr, which I think is a reasonable assumption), and that Leo's high enough that maybe IntSys will give him one of Camilla's planned future alts.

If that ends up being the case, just use your free pull on the Red CYL Hero to ensure you get your favorite. As for that new leak, Can't wait for the full CYL3 results now.

@Jotari I quite like that Michalis! Iote's Shield+ seems like quite a neat skill (I feel like it should be locked to Michalis though, if only because Legendary units always have a personal non-Weapon skill), Air March is something I legitimately expect to see on a future Legendary/Mythic Hero, and Silver Javelin being Distant Counter + Another Effect is something I hope to see on future weapons (or at least on refines for current weapons, looking at you Seigfried). So, since Duma has shown that Mythic Heroes are gonna actually be godlike (and made me question what crazy bullshit Eir must be able to pull if she's on their level), here are a couple of Mythic "Heroes" that I could see happening in the future: Grima - The Creation | Blue Breath | Flying [Anima - ATK] Lyon - Demon King | Colorless Beast | Armored [Dark - DEF] And a rework of the CYL3 Heroes I made a while back (assuming 1st Places will be Alm and Camilla, with Marth and Micaiah taking 2nd): Alm - Brave Conqueror | Green Bow | Infantry Camilla - Brave Princess | Red Sword | Flying Marth - Brave Prince | Blue Lance | Flying Micaiah - Brave Priestess | Colorless Staff | Infantry

I'm expecting Marth to end up as a Flying Lance unit with Wing Spear if he wins. Also for Camilla to be Flying again and use either Bolverk or Ganglari (leaning on @Interdimensional Observer's idea of Shadow Yato, I could see Camilla getting Corrin's first personal sword if they want to keep the Yato as a Corrin-only thing), Alm to be Infantry and use a Red/Green Bow (whichever color Camilla isn't taking), and Micaiah to be an Infantry Staff unit using either the Matrona or Ashera staff.

Stayed up late to pull ASAP on Duma’s banner. Got +SPD/-HP Summer Linde and +ATK/-RES Legendary Tiki in 35 Orbs, so I think it paid off.

Water Breath+ is available on Male Kana, who is available via Heroic Grails, so you can just pluck it off him if you have 20,000 feathers to promote him.

Skill-Refine: When Special is charged at start of combat, grants DEF/RES +7 during combat.

...Didn't see this coming. Duma certainly looks strong, though he's an Armored Dragon so past experience with Grima and Halloween Myrrh says he's gonna be great. Although, Upheaval looks kinda weak for a Prf skill. The structure-busting might be nice, but the 7 damage is auto-healed off by anyone who brings a Eir and/or a Healing Tower that doesn't get Upheaval'd (though I can already see all-Duma/Surtr-with-Anima-Blessing defense teams being annoying with it). I'm probably gonna try on this, if only because it has Tiki (don't have, but want), Eirika (don't have, but want) and Lyn (have, but want a second to merge for SPD-bane-removal). Colorless would be nice too since everyone on that color is good fodder (Linde has a neat dagger that I'm sure Legault would like, Genny and Jaffar want Loki's C Duel Infantry, and Duma has DEF/RES Solo for my +RES/-ATK Winter Ephraim so he can achieve maximum lonelywall). I was expecting Yune this month, either by way of Micaiah-possession or just as her own thing. But yeah, this probably is how we're gonna get various God-tier characters like Ashera/Yune/Naga/Mila, maybe also Fomortiis and Loptyr (Loptous?), and possibly whatever the First Dragons of the Fates games were (...those were a thing, right? I honestly don't remember much of Fates's plot, so I'm not sure if I'm just making something up here or not). Also, I get the feeling this means Idunn will be March's Mythic Hero, considering that's gonna be Binding Blade Banner Month. I'm gonna get my hopes up now so they can be crushed in two months.

@Gregster101 I agree with your reasoning, though I couldn't send a vote Alm's way. Still, unless Eliwood and Marth both get a big push, I think we'll both be happy when the CYL3 results are released (does anyone know how long it was between CYL2's voting period ending and the results being released?). I just cast my sixth and final vote for Ranulf (one went to Micaiah). Hopefully he'll place high.

@Diovani Bressan Mine has Guard Bow+ too! Also Close Counter because I make bad decisions, which is the reason I gave her DEF/RES Bond (since it gives the DEF/RES buffs against melee foes too), but yeah, she'd end up pretty solid if you stacked Bonds on her (especially with an adjacent allied M!Corrin contributing Spur ATK/SPD 2 and Spur DEF/RES 2 for an added +9 to all stats, at which point neutral Faye would have a statline of 42 HP | 63 ATK | 34 SPD | 45 DEF | 50 RES, which looks rather good to me). I wouldn't expect Faye to demote any time soon, Firesweep is still a really good weapon, but I want it too, considering it'd make her much easier to +10. As for your Aversa refine, I think that could work if you took off the RES +3 on the refined Aversa's Night and reduced the Refine effect's Sol to Daylight. Not sure the global-effect needed to be buffed, but I wouldn't be against that. It's certainly a good weapon. @Azure the Scale Tipper ...I might've posted that Lukas one before, or at least a version of it. I know I've typed it up at least once, just forgot whether or not I've posted it here before. As for Gray/Tobin's, I liked your idea for Ilwoon on Tobin, and wound up lumping Tobin in with Gray on Dread Rapier because I couldn't come up with anything better than your Ilwoon that didn't seem like it had too many effects. Also, Legendary Elise Weapon? Now I'm picturing Eliwood using Elise as a weapon... Maybe if he gets a Brave version? Regarding the new refines: Yeah, Aversa getting a new refine is unnecessary. Her effect is quite situational, but pretty good when it lands. Also, reposting these two for thoughts: Nowi - Eternal Youth Eternal Breath | MT 16 | Unit can counterattack regardless of foe's distance. Skill-Refine: At start of Odd numbered turns, grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +4 to unit and adjacent allies for 1 turn. Subaki - Perfect Expert Subaki's Pike | MT 16 | When HP = 100% at start of combat, grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +4 during combat, but if unit attacked, inflicts 1 damage after combat. Skill-Refine: When HP = 100% at start of combat, grants Special Charge +1 during combat, then inflicts 5 damage after combat.

Tried for Tibarn on Laguz banner these last few days. Built up to 3.75% while getting I think 3 Reds, then got +RES/-SPD Sumia today. This would be mildly annoying, but I have another Sumia so I can neutralize the bane next month (once I figure out whether +HP or +RES is better for Sumia). Not gonna keep going on it now, gonna put the remaining TT+ orbs toward either this month’s Mythic Banner, next month’s Legendary Banner, or March’s Binding Blade Banner, depending on whether the former two hold anything of interest to me.

@Azure the Scale Tipper Raigh: Bladetome with built-in Chill RES, it'd certainly be a good buff for him. Not sure if Bladetome is too good on him (IIRC Odin only got it because his ATK is trash, while Raigh's is actually okay), but outside of that one reservation I don't have a problem with this. Sophia: Owltome with Guard 6 is something that would certainly be beneficial for Sophia. Simple and effective, I have no complaints. So it just occurred to me; Since Binding Blade banner is coming in a couple of months and Roy already got his refinement, maybe they'll do a Durandal refinement with the March update. Here's my take on what that could look like: Eliwood - Knight of Lycia Durandal [Refine] | MT 16 | Grants ATK +6 when unit initiates combat. Skill-Refine: When initiating combat and unit's RES > foe's RES+5, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. Also, for consideration: Lukas - Sharp Soldier Sentinel's Spear | MT 16 | Accelerates Special Trigger (cooldown count -1). Skill-Refine: Skills with "effective against armored" are effective against unit. If unit's HP > 50% and foe initiates combat, grants Special Cooldown Charge +1 per unit's attack, and unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. (Does not stack.) Gray - Wry Comrade & Tobin - The Clueless One Dread Rapier | MT 16 | Effective vs. Cavalry & Armored. Skill-Refine: Deals +10 damage when Special triggers. Faye - Devoted Heart Mila's Bow | MT 14 | Effective against Flying enemies. At start of every 2nd turn, restores 10 HP. Skill-Refine: Grants DEF/RES +5 during combat when adjacent to at least one ally. Thoughts?

Just put in one vote for Micaiah. Hopefully she can stay in the top 2, though I won't mind if Robin overtakes her. Honestly I don't really care who wins at this point, I'd be okay with any combination of the midterm's top 3 units on either side. Gonna vote Ranulf for the last two days, then hope he places high.

Ah, so I did misunderstand that effect. That's significantly more balanced. I quite liked Gallon outside of that one trait, so now I really like Gallon. Bit weird that he doesn't have a transformation despite being a Beast, but it's not a problem. As for Onyx, Origin of Fire seems like it'd be rather tricky to get a lot out of on an Armored unit. Volkenon Fists's Special-nullification is pretty neat too. I like him. Don't have those, but I do have my old PS2 around here somewhere. I'll have to go back and replay it some day.

@Jotari Mila’s Turnwheel resets back to 5 Cooldown (4 with Killer/Slaying Bow or Conqueror’s Bow) after any combat in which it activates. Definitely not to 0, that would be far too broken. @Diovani Bressan Looks like I went a little overboard, huh? I was gonna give Marth Joint Hone ATK (or Joint Fortify RES, but that went to Camilla... and was then replaced with Rose’s Thorns so I could’ve given it to Marth... Camilla took more time than the other five units I wrote up), but figured he’d be better off with SPD instead to double more often (but in hindsight ATK probably would be better). He also had Guard 4 at one point, and I’m not sure why I pulled him back to 3. Micaiah’s was something I had started crafting before the midterm update, back when I was hearing that Micaiah and Nino were the frontrunners, which is why she’s got so much more than Marth... Probably could’ve used Earthwater Balm+ instead of Solid Earth Balm+ though. Also, SPD Ploy 3 was RES Ploy 3, ATK Ploy 3 and ATK/RES Ploy 2 at one point or another, so I must’ve forgotten to change the description when I settled on SPD Ploy. Whoops. Mila’s Turnwheel is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but yeah, the way it combines with the rest of Alm’s kit is a bit too strong. Maybe it’d be better if Mila’s Turnwheel “broke” for a turn after activating, so it couldn’t be recharged as quickly. So, with all that in mind, here is CYL3 Frontrunners: Hopefully Better Edition: Alm Marth Camilla Micaiah Eliwood Robin So, are these better? Or at least still good while not being as OP?

@Interdimensional Observer Are those two from Odin Sphere? I remember that game! Never even got close to beating it though... It's late here and I need sleep, so all I'm gonna say right now is: 1) Gallon can be dark and Green. Male Grima fits that criteria, after all. 2) Odette's Curse sounds a bit too strong, if only because I read it as "must one-round or he gets all his HP back before the next combat." Am I reading it wrong? So, CYL3 midterm results are here. Ranulf's in the top 20. Hell, he's one of the highest-ranked Beasts now (dunno if he's higher than Selkie overall), and I think high enough to make it onto Farfetched 3.0 if these results hold (along with, at the moment, any four of Bruno, Lif, Louise and Selkie, so the banner right now would probably be Bruno/Ranulf/Louise/Selkie). I feel better about putting all three of my votes on him. Well, all four of my votes now. Maybe he can breach the top 10? Don't really care who wins this time around (although I look forward to the enormous saltsplosion if Camilla wins the women's side), I just want the best cat to place high, and it looks like he's gonna do that. Still, I'm pleasantly surprised that Eliwood placed so high, and I kinda want him to beat Marth (not enough to throw a vote his way, I decided where those were going early and see no reason to deviate), though I'd be happy with Alm & Marth winning men's side too (or Chrom, or M!Robin, or Bruno, or Reinhardt, or basically any combination of the entire men's top 20 that excludes Lif and Surtr). Kinda surprised by Alm being top, I guess people really want their Alm alt already. If the end of Book II is any indication, Lif will be saved for the end-of-Book OC banners. Bruno might make it though, which would probably bump Haar off since Ranulf is higher than him.
