  1. No, I didn't find Stefan. Actually it's the first time I've heard of him :) But looking back I should have kept Mia because I didn't have enough swordsmen most of the time.
  2. Happy Birthday.

  3. Have you ever succeeded in getting someone else to play FE? Further more, gotten them to like it as much as you? I haven't had much luck personally..
  4. Ok, guys. First of all, sorry if i've posted previous messages in the wrong category. I don't intend to SPAM. I will post all my mesages here in the future. So I finished POR for the first time, in Normal mode. Took 30 hours to complete. What drew me to it the most was the story and anticipating the next chapter. To me, that is still one of the selling points of this and Blazing Swords. In comparison, games like FF Tactics had me wandering around fighting random enemies without any sense of purpose. I'm not a very 'technical' player, apart from the damage/attack numbers. I didn't use much of the Skills or biorhythms, or even any supports. I lost Mia, Brom and Muarim during this first run. I have read here that Brom is a fast character so I will try not to lose him next time. Muarim's loss was more significant to me because of his relationship with Tomrod. In hindsight I regret not using Mist more often as she proved to be quite a strong character later in the game. Likewise, princess Elincia was also strong. Having grown attached to some of these characters and the storyline I am looking forward to playing it's sequel. I know this is nitpicking but some of the discussion text was a bit hard to believe. Like when Reyson thought Ashnard was riding a Wyvern? A Laguz prince who can't sense his own kind? Maybe something was lost in translation.. Overall, the game was brilliant and I hope to play it again on harder difficulty..
  5. Bite her back twice as hard and hope she turns into a human again...
  6. I recently bought fire emblem POR and a used gamecube (the game cost twice as much as the GC!). So far I am enjoying it, it has the same engrossing storyline and plot twists as the previous FE game I've played (blazing swords). The sound and music are excellent. The gameplay is also fairly involved compared to the previous games. For example, Biorhythms, Skills, Weapon Forging, so forth. Hopefully I can make sense of it all one day... The only negative point I can find so far are the animations are a bit stiff and slow for what I am used to, but these are superficial things. I think it is a great addition to the FE series and hope to play it some more. Now I finally understand what 'Serene's Forest' refers to!
  7. The shiphand (im not sure if that is the proper term..) class is like a pirate's aid, maintaining the deck, manning the crow's nest and so forth.. But in time of battle they can also fight. This class can level up into a pirate. The original design was supposed to be a scruffy looking character to match the messy roles of shiphand but later it changed.
  8. nicely written.. it made my evening :)

    Hi

Hi all, I stumbled on this site while looking for info on FE growth stats and grateful for all the info it provides. I must admit I am inspired by this game and believe it's one of the rare gems in the gaming world. Anyway, here's a brief list of reasons why I think FE (Blazing Sword) rocks, let me know if you agree/disagree :P The weapons triangle This adds an extra strategic element to the game which others, including popular tactical RPG's, lack. Character relationships/conversations It adds depth and warmth to the characters instead of just a prettily drawn face. Linear/Storybook format Compared to say FF where i've wandered aimlessly for hours fighting stupid monsters, Blazing Swords leads the player from beginning to end. Character Classes. The classes in this series are awesome. It's the only RPG i've played with real kick ass pirates. I get hyperactive just thinking about it! IT MAKES ME HYPERACTIVE LOL Music. The music in this game is inspirational and makes you want to fight. It doesn't get overly EMO for sad parts as well. Did I mention it has pirates? Edit: Bolded points for clarity
  14. Hi, First of all I'd like to say thanks to all the people who made the info on this site available. Secondly, Fire Emblem rocks! :P I would just like to know how the calculations for the gameplay/stats were found? Were they manually derived or are there official docs available describing the formulas? Thanks
