  1. Well it just doesn't make sense for a shelled creature to recede into a shell other than the one on its back (unless it's hatching for the first time).
  2. I finally got FE7 and it's really fun :) I'm only on Chapter 5 though...

  3. James Joyce, Henry James, Emily Brönte, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Victor Hugo, Ayn Rand, Thomas Pynchon, J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, and now Patrick Rothfuss, to name a few.
  4. Levity is a train conductor in San Jose who fancies poodles and Jewish rye
  5. You're welcome :)

  6. Well fancy that, so am I :o I hope you enjoy it here, as I am despite just joining this morning :)

  8. D: Now I no longer feel special...
  9. Most likely a saddle. Mario rides it like a horse so a saddle makes sense, and when Yoshi recedes into an egg, the shell is white with green spots, not red and white.
  10. My tastes can be quite random, but it's all good music: Flash in the Dark - Megaman 9 I may post more at a later time.
  11. Not yet eclipse, but after classes I'll search the alleyways in my city to find a copy of at least FE7. In the event that I can't find a copy for myself, I'll just borrow one from a friend.
  12. Forgive me if this reply is kind of redundant or naive, but I don't feel that we should prohibit the building of the mosque near Ground Zero. To do so would be inhibiting taxpayers of the United States from exercising their First Amendment right to freedom of religion. Much to the dismay of some, these Muslims are not fundamentalists. The Muslims who are linked to the destruction of the buildings are not the same. Were this situation reversed and say, a Church were to be built at the site of a terrorist act committed by Christians, some religious figures here in the US would cry foul and take this to the Supreme Court because the Muslims are not letting them exercise their rights. Once you flip the situation around, you can sort of understand where they are coming from. And is it so bad for the Muslims of the United States to try and make amends for their brethren in the Middle East? Sure, they may not be linked to the fundamentalist groups, but they can at least pray to God that they will see the error of their ways and learn to love all people regardless of religious inclinations and country of origin.
  13. I only know David Tennant as Dr. Who, and out of the episodes I've seen I would definitely watch the episodes with him. Those sideburns...!
  14. Gee that's not very fair. Why do they have to be so active so early in the morning? D:

  15. Well, if it pleases the FE gods, I shall start with, er, FE7? The tutorial will be a refresher of what little I played a loooong time ago, so I'll go with that, then PoR, then RD. Whatever comes after that will be on a can-I-even-get-it basis.
  16. Thanks for the welcome guys :) Ooh lala. The rape would be well-founded, as I am very sexy.
  17. Well that's not very good D: At around what time would you say more people are online? Evenings?

  18. Well that's nice. Sometimes I like game franchises with long lines of sequels, then other times I like them to be separated with bundles of sequels instead of a continuous string. And from what you say, is PoR not a good game to begin with? With the first FE game on GBA, it may just be wishful thinking for a purchase at the moment as I cannot seem to find it at my local game stores. If I were to begin with PoR, would it be too difficult? I mean, the gist of the game is easy to me. The only thing that scares me is that if I lose a character he never comes back (and in terms of the plot, that would make me sad). Would those pages tell me which version of RD I have? I just purchased a new copy a few days ago, so should I be fine?
  19. Not to be a redundant sort of manga reader here, but I've found Takeshi Obata's works to be very enjoyable. He does things with the hair and noses of characters that, though subtle, really bring life to the otherwise flat, monochrome shells if characters found in many other manga(s). Also, Hayao Miyazaki was (and still is in my opinion) one of the best cross-hatchers in all of manga. His work with Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind was amazing to say the least. Unlike many mangaka, he used very little screen tone, opting to do the work mainly with his pen by way of cross-hatching. Characters were brought to life using very rudimentary methods, and I admire that a lot coming from a man like him.
  20. Well hello there! :O I wasn't expecting many people to be on this morning (well, morning for me) so this is a pleasant surprise! If you wouldn't mind taking a look at the FE General Category at my newest thread I would greatly appreciate it (since I'm assuming you've played quite a few of the FE games). I really really wanna get into this series but I want to start it of...

  21. I don't believe this is a fairly difficult question though some of you may disagree with my opinions. I'm wondering, in what order should I play the games that I can get a hold of in order to understand the story of FE? The following games are available to me (though not all are here yet): FE: Path of Radiance FE: Radiant Dawn FE (GBA) FE: Shadow Dragon Are the storylines of each game independent of each other, or are some games sequels of others? I was tempted to begin with PoR, then RD, then just play the remaining games in whatever order I could find them. Does this sound reasonable? Also take into account that I have never played a FE game before (although I have watched many, many people play them). I would like to assume that the first FE for the GBA would be easier than PoR, but I don't have any way to confirm that (since my friends who are addicted to the games found them all to be quite easy).
  22. Yup so I'm new here. I don't really care what you call me but for now my display name will remain as 'kunekune.' I'm fairly new to the FE games but I plan on playing through Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn as soon as they arrive from Amazon Hopefully we'll get along
