  1. OLD REQUEST FINALLY COMPLETED So, about a year ago, Phoenix asked me to draw one of his characters. I accepted the challenge (especially since the only reference I had was basicly an FE9-style sprite which meant it was half-body with only one view.) Also, she rides a pegasus. As it might be obvious, I'm new to drawing equine creatures and saddled pegasi confuse me since you'd thing the rider's legs would hinder the pegasus' flight. Anyway, drew the Jerdonian Sigrun clone from the LoAF RP. [spoiler="Viva la Daneka!"(Merc knows very little French so this is what Daneka will say especially since she seems to primarily fight for herself)] And Alphonse is still missing.
  2. "Aye, I hope so. If I'm on a job t' protect a ship and he attacks, though, I won't hold back," she replied as they entered the confrence hall.
  3. "Ah, good," Gytha sighed, truly happy to hear Amon's thoughts on it, though she kept her voice down since she had more still to say, especially since he didn't mind, "That's not th' end o' it, though. Y'see, me full name's Gytha Thirdgem. Me father's Captain Reese Thirdgem o' th' pirate ship Saltstraumen. Yer a landlubber, so I don't expect ye t' understand what that means, but he's th' most feared n' most successful pirate o' this age." She seemed oddly proud of that, yet awkwardly spiteful at the same time, leading to some sort of confusion. "Gave me me pistol n' bandanna." She indicated the bandanna tied on her head. "He's a pirate n' fer a long time me dream was t' sail th' seas with'im..." The story obviously continued, but she shook off the deep, brooding look that came over her and smiled at her friend again, though somewhat sheepishly. "Not sure what I'll do if I e'r see'im again."
  4. "Pirate port town," was Gytha's simple reply as she nodded, "I'm a mariner now, though, so ye could see why I wouldn't want any o' me potential employers t' be findin' that out."
  5. "Well, y'see... I come from a place in Neviskotia called 'Stubbsgrit.' Me mother owns a good place called The Salty Brine Inn. It's where I grew up. Always looked forward t' me father pullin' inta port. He's a captain, y'see," Gytha began to explain. She didn't know how much about Stbbsgrit Amon knew already, but she figured he didn't know much since he wasn't too ocean savvy as is.
  6. I'll ask you on IRC later. It has to do with items in rote so nothing big -- I just keep forgetting to ask. XD; Thanks, by the way.
  7. "Aye, ye've mentioned somethin' like that b'fore. Had a hard life b'fore ye were taken inta th' palace by th' sounds o' it. I'd like t' try th' food ye like sometime too. Maybe I'll like it," Gytha cheerily comented before adding, "Have t' say, I never realla had t' live a hard life. Always had enough. I've me mother n' me father t' thank fer that. Y'see, me mother's an innkeeper an' that's pretty darn well off in.." The mariner grimaced for a moment, eyes flickering around to make sure no one else was listening. Then she lowered her voice a tad just to be safe. "Ye mind keepin' this private? I've kept this secret for years now and I'd lose all kinds of business if people knew and that's th' least o' me worries."
  8. "Aye, not a problem!" lightly laughed Gytha as she and Amon started towards the place where the meeting would be held, "What sort o' foods're ye used ta eatin'?"
  9. Sketchy sketch that was sketched by use of sketching yay. Ok, so, the sample pics of Bert I have here were bugging me (especially since I couldn't get his hair right at the time) so I decided to sketch him again. In the full body sketch, he is wielding Splinter and Crunch (his unique, twin maces) defensively, probably in anticiapation for an attack so he can strike out with the mace he is not presently defending with. ... Which reminds me I have something to ask Phoenix later. Anyway. The other is a basic head-turn 3/4 shot (I hate front view so I had to include this to give any sort of idea as to what his head actually looks like.) And yeah, his expression in that pic is what he looks like when he's neutral. Basicly, his standard expression. Now that I've given you information you probably don't care about, time to show you the actual picture! [spoiler=Bert the Crusher]
  10. "Always smart t' wait on that, heharr," Gytha lightly laughed before waiting for Amon to finish. They'd talk on their way to the conference room. It was nice getting some one-on-one with the knife-wielder. It'd been a while since she'd felt like she could relax like this -- trusting the person she called her friend as she did, Maw asside. Should I tell'im? Doubt he'd tell anyone if I told'im not ta. Wouldn't want anyone else hearin', though. Not like he has t' know. Though might be nice t' finalla tell someone. Sure has been a while since I thought about all this... He really likes that bowl. "Heharr.." Might as well, aye? Least I'll stop wonderin' if I should or not if I do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ate kind of recently... I should go to the confrence room, then. So, putting Splinter and Crunch back at his belt, Norbert pulled himself up onto his feet. At first, his strides were heavy, but as he walked his recovery quickened a little and though he still looked tired and defeated, he was walking more normally. After getting a maid to show him to the conference room and arriving at said room, he sat down to wait...and quickly slipped into a light doze.
  11. Gytha would've responded, but Weyland came into the room with his announcement. "Th' meetin's startin' soon, then? A'right, but I want t' finish me dinner first," Gytha responded to no one in particular before somewhat hastily shovelling the remainder of the soup (which had mostly absorbed into the bread bow's walls, making them soft enough for her to scoop out of the bowl) into her mouth. Once the bread bowl's soft bits were gone, she crunched on her celery spoon until it was gone, then simply tore appart her bread bowl and finished eating that. "Ahh, that was good!" the mariner contentedly comented before turning her attention to Amon again and asking, "How're ye doin' on yers?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ People moved about and spoke with one another. Norbert couldn't focus properly, though. It was odd. He felt almost...isolated. No one seemed to bother him and he kept to himself. Even that observation was subconcious. His mind was dulled at the moment, after all, for the sake of energy going elsewhere to normalize his wellbeing. As he recovered, his mind began to clear and energy began to restore...but only so much as he was able to think upon what he wanted his next action to be. I want to sleep... Then, something about a meeting. What timing... Do I have to go? ... Probably. "Hey," Norbert muttered as clearly as he could without even raising his head to the guy he was speaking to: one of the guards, "Something about a meeting..."
  12. Robin was certainly spiteful, though there was no consequence from her having jiggled the table. Gytha had anticiapated this and her chowder was almost gone anyway. She was just glad Amon had polished off enough of his that it didn't spill. The mariner began eating the lid to her bread bowl as she nodded at Amon's observation. After swallowing, she shrugged and mentioned, "Some people're like that. Just learn t' see when they won't listen and have'em shove off. Best t' avoid 'em completely." She took another bite of her bread, chewed and swallowed. "Back home, me mother woulda just shot'er an' thrown'er inta th' sea if she caused any more trouble. 'Course, I've noticed it's much quieter in that way in other parts o' th' world than in St--" She hastily took another bite and swallowed it down. "than back home." Having finished her sentense, she began chewing the last of her bread bowl lid. By Leviathan, I need t' be more careful! Musta realla made a good friend fer me t' be shootin' me mouth off like that. Heh. Don't see a harm in lettin' Amon know. Maybe I will sometime. She seemed somewhat amused with herself for some reason.
  13. "...Ye sure are stuck in that line o' thinkin'. Well, I've explained meself and ye can accept it or choose not t' I guess. Now, d'ye mind? I'm tryin' t' eat me dinner with me friend," Gytha asked, somewhat casually, but at the end, giving Robin a steady, slight glare, sending the clear message that the archer was to leave.
  14. "Nope," Gytha nonchalantly replied, "I've never done anythin' t' realla hurt ye. I shot ye, but it was for a reason: so ye wouldn't get yerself killed o'er a fit o' indignation. On th' ship, I gave ye advice. At th' festival, I helped ye with yer writin'. When I shot ye, it was t' protect ye. Wanted t' show ye a smaller version o' what mighta happened if ye were dealin' with people who didn't care fer ye. Hardly know ye, but I've still helped ye as th' need arose." And she continued eating.
  15. "... That was a warning shot. Coulda killed ye if I wanted to, but I just decided t' let ye off with a warnin'," Gytha replied, somewhat neutral at Robin's coment. Then, she added, a bit offended, "Appologize t' ye? I was bein' nice, teachin' ye somethin' b'fore ye got yerself killed by someone else. Ye can't just attack whoever an' expect t' get away with it. Best learn now than later, ye know."
  16. "Ah, well that's good. Thrown' sharp things at yer teammates gets ye attacked right back, after all. Glad ye learned not t' do that anymore!" Gytha replied happily with a cheerful, friendly smile at Robin, "Careful, though. Some people wouldn't fire a warnin' shot like I did. So if ye do pick a fight, be sure it's against someone ye can win against." After offering the advice, Gytha went back to eating her meal.
  17. "See? What'd I tell ye? HAHAHARRR!" laughed Gytha, glad that Amon was enjoying the meal. A moment later, Robin sat down in front of her and said something...maybe. Really, it just sounded like a bunch of odd sounds. "Uhh... Ye a'right?" she asked her, unsure of why the archer was there.
  18. "Not a chance," Esphyr immediately droned, "We're here to see what the countries decide to do about the demons and we're kind of important for that. I don't think we'll be leaving until the summit is over." The marcenary woman stretched lazily before ragdolling in her chair again and stared at the table. It was empty, which was sort of annoying, but Esphyr didn't feel like doing anything about it at the moment. Someone would be around to fix that problem soon enough. Really, she had her own problem to deal with. "... Do you know any good hobbies?"
  19. It was a terrible sensation. His muscles stiffened, his body ached as he tried to keep moving, his momentum slowing to a crawl...and then he couldn't move, frozen like a statue...yet not quite. He wasn't petrified to the extent that the beast outside and the three, stone Fallen around him were. He was still primarily flesh and blood, but he could feel his body's turmoil. It was trying to get the stone pieces out, including bits of many of his organs. It was excruciating, but he couldn't cry out. -- it was hard enough to breathe as it was. All he could do was choak in air as frequently and rapidly as he could. He could barely feel it when Steinn caught him, saving him from whatever damage falling to the ground would have caused. His hearing was perfect, though. Steinn commended him for his attempt. He even said it was a good one. Then he was set to the side so he wouldn't be obliterated by falling and breaking. Then, the spell the princess had placed in him was drawn out...like a tick trying to stay latched to its host. Norbert's pain was such that he was getting dizzy (nevermind that his blood was probably not flowing to his brain correctly.) It came out before he fell into unconciousness, though. He didn't even realize his body was returning to normal durring the process. It was only after he fell that he realized he could breathe normally again, and so began catching his breath as he sat on the ground. Then Steinn shattered the spell from before. The prince was talking again. It was as though he was reading Norbert's mind. ... Wait. "S-stay...out..." the defiant pegasus rider weakly commanded, tiredly glaring up at the prince. No mind was paid to him, though, as the Fallen prince turned his attention to Shadrak and Bert hung his head if only to rest easier. His energy was gone. For now, all he could do or wanted to do was rest, his maces held loosely in his hands. And yet, Steinn's advice echoed in his head. "You may not like the idea of an eternal warfare or the lives lost due to it, and I can understand that. If you really want to put a stop to it, though, I suggest doing so by fighting back and winning. Playing right into my hands? Yes, but that doesn't make victory impossible." It was oddly sound advice. Okay... Fine... I'll just have to use this tool you've given me. Not right now... One day, though, this war will end...and humanity will be better for it, even if I don't contribute to it personally. He wasn't trying to communicate. It was rhetoric thinking. Still, he guessed Steinn heard it. He really didn't care every much if he did or not right then, though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Aye, that's right! Just be careful. It's easa t' spill th' soup yer first time usin' a celery spoon," Gytha informed, taking her celery and scratching it a bit, hollowing more of the middle out a little. Then, she scooped soup into the spoon, holding it steady, and slipped it into her mouth, not spilling a drop. she continued eating her meal this way, obviously quite happy with how it'd turned out. It was warm and creamy, filling her with a content warmth as it entered her stomach. The flavors were distinct and worked very well together, too.
  20. Oh man it's Roy!!! 8D HIIII!!! I'll get you caught up to speed. I can summerize the events pretty well, I think. Also, yesterday, we were talking about how we missed you. I'm so glad to see you're back! ^_^
  21. The scene unfolded rapidly and only a couple words were in Common, so Norbert couldn't understand what anyone was saying. He didn't really have to, though. The scene was shocking enough and basicly spoke for its self. Steinn was not to be trifled with. That was very very unfortunate since it meant he would succeed in luring his brother into Ursium just as he had planned. "D-darn it..." Norbert furiously, quietly muttered to himself under his breath, clenching his fists and gritting his teeth, his face downcast. That dull ache was still in his chest, too. Steadily, he lifted his defiant, hateful glare to Steinn. What the others were doing or saying was completely blocked out to him. Now his brother will fly over Ursium and kill anythign that engages him. Now this country will weaken. The Neviskotian war rages on our eastern border, a furious, powerful Fallen will come from the south... My sisters... I couldn't prevent this. I couldn't foil this plan. I couldn't stop that Fallen from coming here! They should've left! They should've let me find another way to get that white-feathered girl back to them! His thoughts only fueled his rage. In his anger, he didn't care how powerful this Fallen prince was. "CURSE YOU, YOU DEMON!!!" cried Norbert as he whipped out Splinter and Crunch and charged at Steinn, weapons ready and aiming to land a couple, strong blows on the prince.
  22. Norbert sighed silently in frustration as Shadrak appeared. This wouldn't go smoothly after all. Siv didn't know what to do, a dark cloud was right outside, the annoying dark magic user was speaking in another language and the shaman's freaky bird had cawed at him like some alarm. At least they're coming quickly. Still, why the heck is Shadrak here? And what's with the bird? "Would someone please explain to me what's going on?" Norbert frustratedly asked. He heard Steinn's name come up when Shadrak was talking. Maybe he knew more about what was going on. I hope those Fallen stick to what they said about not trying to kill us if I helped them, even if it was practically forced.
  23. "Thank you," Norbert replied to the maid before following her directions at a brisk pace. He rounded the couple corners and soon found himself standing right in front of Siv. Not wasting any time, he swiftly informed her, "I'm here to get you to Norn. We just need to be by a wall or window that leads outside." Whatever spell's inside me had better leave when they do.
  24. "Fine! Whatever!" he could tell the Fallen were organizing some sort of plan just by how they were reacting to one another. Apparently he was supposed to do his part right now. So, he mounted up onto Rizen's back and flew right back to the mansion as quickly has he could urge the pegasus ro fly. Immediately after reaching the stables, Norbert handed Rizen's reigns off to a stablehand and entered the mansion's halls with evern intent to find Siv and lead her to some place with a window. That was all he had to do and then maybe that thing in his chest would go away. They'll know where I am... I can't go for help right now, but I will as soon as that thing is gone. Now let's see... There's one. Norbert walked up to one of the maids scattered throughout the mansion. "Do you know where the Fallen girl is? I need to talk with her," Norbert asked. Stupid politics... I told myself I'd never get involved with them!
