  1. Simple: Vaike. Lissa is based off of Mist and Vaike is based off of Boyd. Seams pretty straightforward to me.
  2. Have you read Beowulf and Lachesis' lover conversation? It covers the whole thing.
  3. The manga cut my boy Beowulf from the story entirely. And Beowulf is bro. Also adapting the manga would mean altering Lachesis as a character. In the Oosawa manga, Lachesis doesn't just have a crush on her half brother like in the game, the two are straight up mutually in love, and almost "do it" at one point. Another thing that would change is her relationship with Beowulf. Beowulf is her canon husband, the only reason she gets with Finn in the manga is because in the game she cheats on her husband with Finn in the game. Also the manga removed Chulain, and no Chulain means no major Od blood ridiculousness for Larcei and Ulster. His relationship with Ayra is really nice in FE4 I might add, be disappointing to lose that. To put things simply, adapting the manga would alter the story and game in a few ways that would be disappointing.
  4. It doesn't seam like much is different from the actual release of the game aside from a few portraits. It is still interesting nonetheless.
  5. What I would like to see, is a game that combines of what made different Kaga games enjoyable. To put things simply the type of game I want is, for example, something like what the original Tear Ring Saga tried accomplish. Tear Ring Saga manages to capture the feel of FE1, Gaiden, Genealogy, and Thracia via the implementation of many gameplay elements and themes from each of the three games. Oh and just in case if anyone misunderstands, I'm not saying we need a game exactly like what Kaga is doing with his TRS games, its just an example.
  6. I am just curious, what are everyone's thoughts on the biorhythm mechanic? Most of the time either noone talks about it or really just snickers over the damn thing. Honestly I don't know what to think of it. I don't really pay much of any attention to it in Path of Radiance and in Radiant Dawn, while it is quite helpful to pay attention to in part 1, it kinda become irrelevant after that. Especially so in part 3 onward. I like the idea, but it is still a bit eh to me. For those who have no fucking idea what I am talking about, the biorhythm mechanic was this mechanic that was added into the Telius games (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn) that emulates the biorhythm of a character. In short, among a units stats is included a graph sine wave graph which moves along every turn, and depending on what point the graph is on, the unit will preform better or worse in combat. Here's a link to the main site pages covering the topic for each Telius games if you want to learn more: Path of Radiance Biorhythm Info Radiant Dawn Biorythm Info
  7. FE1 Marth is a beast. Its almost sad how he ended up in Shadow Dragon.
  8. To be fair man, staves are REALLY good in Thracia. Seriously, they are really really good. Giving them a chance to miss is a way of nerfing them, and before you say "why not just nerf the staves", know that doing that removes one of if not the most popular thing about the game. This being the various strategies that can be achieved using them.
  9. I honestly am not sure if that would fit Fire Emblem or not. I imagine that fitting more with an advanced wars title or something honestly. Still an interesting idea though.
  10. Honestly, a nordic theme could be rather interesting. Although I'd imagine it would be difficult to craft. @Von Ithipathachai Bro, FE1 and 3 are supposed to be themed after Greco-Roman stuff. FE4 is HEAVILY themed after celtic stuff.
  11. Your mother! Ok, in all seriousness, my favorite pokemon has to be either Unown or the Magnemite line.
  12. The lack of people using Volke is very disapointing. Also you really brought Leonardo to the endgame @Lost Impact? Wow...well ok then.
  13. In my most recent run on Normal/Hard mode, this is who I brought: I memed Oliver to the fullest I possibly could btw. I gave him Resolve and Vantage, and capped every one of his stats besides Res, which he left off with 1 point away from the cap.
  14. I only grind if I feel the need to promote people due to being a perfectionist at times. Generally I try not to as it feels like cheating.
  15. So basically FE4's durability system, but refined to work within a GBA game. Certainly an interesting concept. (edit) Hold on. So you are sayin there's no draw back to fixing broken weapons? That's a bit ridiculous. The repair systems from TRS and FE4 are way better than this. You should try thinking about a systems like that.
  16. The religious piece has mostly to do with Radiant Dawn and the misunderstandings behind stuff like Ashera by the people who worship her. As for the political corruption, most FEs go with whole "the king\emperor is doing bad things". In the Telius games, the focus is more on the various people in high places abusing their power. Even in the case of Ashnard, despite being a generic power lusting ruler, the game focuses a lot on how he uses his position to get what he wants. I'm not saying Ashnard is the prime example of this theme, I'm just saying that even he has this theme applied onto him.
  17. Thing is though, the stat boosters in FE1 actually have a fun use outside of just meming a unit's stats that is also rather helpful. They allow a unit that you may be stuck with to go from shit, to a fine replacement. Lets say for instance all your mounted units are dead except Roshea or Matthis. These two can easily be put to work quickly via the use of stat boosters due to the universal 20 stat caps and high bonuses from the items. The ring's in gaiden are outright broken without purpose.
  18. You realize you just contradicted yourself right?
  19. I think everyone can agree that both of these games did not age well at all. But which one of the two is better? At least in your opinion. Remember, the remakes of these games are by no means the same as the originals. Just felt I needed to clear that up. Personally I prefer FE1 by a long shot. The map design overall is just better and the broken stat boosters are really entertaining to abuse or simply use in general.
  20. Three massive themes in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn were racism, religion, and political corruption. The way it executed these themes worked because the games weaved it into the lore and foundation of the world they are based in. If another FE game can manage to do that again without feeling forced, I'd be down for it.
