Rarity/popularity are going to make this happen.
Yes their goal is to make money, that much should be obvious. But how can one know whether or not the price they paid is worth unless you actually get that far? Saying "something bad should be cheap" would apply to MANY games in that case.
Hell, i could rant about how Trails' Reverie is going to be more than it's "worth" considering the garbage gameplay i already know it has. Not to mention the lack of new animating, craft ideas, art ideas, the list could go on. But i can still accept that they put in the labor to make the game, even if i dislike it at base.
And this is what i mean. You paid for Engage and were happy with what you paid for. How many times have you played it now?
If the game is crap quality this won't matter. See: KH III for example. The price drop on that was fast and hard. XD
