  1. I do enjoy Awakening more than Fates, simply because I found it more enjoyable to play. I played Birthright and Revelation, and both were somewhat boring and lacking in the story. I did managed to get attached to some of the characters, but not many. I found it difficult to care about what happened to some of them, because they just didn't mean anything to me. Awakening's characters are better in my eyes, and I grew attached to many of them. The ending was also better - quick and dirty, defeat Grima once and that's it. The need to defeat the boss multiple times can be done well, but it wasn't in the case of Fates. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed Fates. I just think it tried too hard to be like Awakening (Birthright and Revelation did, anyways - I hear Conquest is more like previous Fire Emblems) and didn't do it well.
  2. "Pick a god and pray!" - Frederick "Hot death coming through!" / "Don't try this at home!" - Basilio "To hell with you!" / "I'll kill you twice!" - Sully "So long, sucker." - Gaius I love so many of the critical quotes from Awakening.
  3. Nope. I didn't find the majority of the Fates kids memorable, and a new cast of characters is what we need. Learn from your mistakes, don't put them in the next game to try and fix that mistake. Fates felt like it was trying to piggyback on the success of Awakening by shoving in some of the characters and somehow making them relevant, so no. Just make a new cast with new, memorable children.
  4. Seeing Zygarde's designs ingame is kinda strange, but I guess they're okay. Not the best designs in the franchise, but not the worst either. I'd still use Zygarde in those forms.
  5. "I'm feeling lucky." Sounds good as a critical quote as you decimate the opponent.
  6. It depends on the time of day. They're usually only angry for about 15 minutes starting at 3:45.
  7. Hi Melaine! I'm in the same boat as you - I've lurked these forums for a while and eventually decided to join. Hope you like it here. While I haven't played as many FE games as you (just Awakening and Fates for this one), there's a lot of love for all the games on these forums. My sister's name is Miriam too, and for a second I was considering asking, "Miriam, are you doing something I don't know about?"
  8. Hello everyone! I recently got into playing FE, and have loved it so far. I've played Awakening, Birthright and I'm finishing up Revelation at the moment. I'm planning on going through Awakening again on a tougher difficulty and actually caring about inheritance and such. I figured I'd need a place to spout all my nonsense, so here I am.
