I've finally gotten around to playing the patch and am currently at chapter 3. So far there's been no issues with the game, except one time when the title demo was playing for a split second everything got glitchy and garbled but again, it lasted only a second and it never happened in all the other times I've loaded it up. It's very refreshing to see such a nice patch after finishing FE3 and getting that glitchy perfect ending chronology.

Should the proper response form the Global Moderator be to get a copy of the game yourself, then to strip the game data yourself as your right to a "backup" that you should never actually use?
Well luckily FE3 carts are not every hard to find, I managed to snag a complete one back in July with a copy of FE4 which was also complete for 52 bucks. But the Rom shouldn't be too hard to find.

Try reinstalling the emulator or use another one and see if they work.
I'm not too knowledgeable on roms but I believe 1.0 roms are headered while 1.1 roms are not. Headers are an anti piracy thing that was included by the devs but again, I am not too knowledgeable on this and odds are someone who is will see this.

That's pretty odd. Are you using a 1.0 rom or a 1.1? And which patch are you using?

I notice a problem, Catua's name is Cadea for some reason in Chapter 7. I would show you the picture, but my emulator only screen shots .bmps. "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community."
Try converting it to PNG or JPG in paint or upload it to imgur.

Well it's beaten. I actually had Oswin who had 11 Res plus the 7 from the Pure Water to tank him with a spear equipped and his Light Brand broke.

Does attacking him with Nino cause him to move? I kind of benched Erk a while ago and am using Nino for my Anima sage.

What about not talking to Nino? Once she spoke to him he moved and that's what ruined my run.

I just spent the better part of two hours clearing the entire map, getting Canas and Nino up several levels only to have Jaffar get the receiving of Lloyd's crit. I can deal with the hordes of enemies and Vaida's gang no problem, but he's the one thing I have the most problems with. I'm on Eliwood Mode on normal.

Holy War from FE3 is a die hard favorite, but Destiny from FE13 and With Mila's Divine Protection from FE2 are both pretty high up there.

There's really no worry in promoting people as early as 10, but personally if I'm in dire straits I go for promotion at 14/15 or so
Thanks boss. Are there any secret shops that sell promotion items? Or am I stuck with the ones I'm given throughout the course of the game?

Is it better to do it at level 10? Or should I wait for level 20? The difficulty has been picking up and I haven't been getting very good level ups. I also don't want to abandon my file so early into Eliwoods story. I am currently on chapter 19 of Eliwood normal mode.

FE1 and FE2 patches are actually really good if you ask me. FE1 even got a brand-new one very recently by Megakoopax, but it just went by unnoticed, so...
FE3's patch does the job okay, but it sure can be better. But that's nothing compared to the atrocity of FE5! :o
Some improvements to the FE3 patch would be very much appreciated, if you ask me.

Soleil's existence and that everyone I meet seems to praise her for being a great character. Fun fact: she's not.
All the forced gay ships between the Hoshidan and Nohrian royals. Especially Hinoka and Camilla, that one is just god awful.
The fact people make shadow dragon out to be a bad game when the people at question are just really bad.

There's a spelling error in the conversation between Ced and Fee in Chapter 8. Instead of Silesse, Fee says Sllesse. Also, I do have a screenshot of the conversation, but I don't know how to post it. Can anyone help? I know it's a bit of a stupid question.

If you decide to play the Kaga era FE games like FE3, promote as soon as possible. The caps for stats are much lower in those games and sooner is honestly better.

I have given at least seven or so tries on this chapter and nothing I do works. I'm trying to get all three houses and get Zihark, but every single time something goes wrong, either Oscar gets killed due to his low speed, or Jill comes in and kills someone/gets killed, Or other things like that. Nothing I've tried has worked and I'm close to dropping the game altogether because of how frustrated I am. I'm not interested in getting bonus EXP at all, I only want the items you can procure in this chapter.

I actually started a discussion thread that lasted from July last year to when V1 of the beta came out in May, and even then the patch had been in development for a long long time. I've actually just now gotten around to playing it, and it is incredibly well written.
I'm making my way through FE9 and after that FE7, so I've yet to get to the new FE4 patch outside of downloading it for when the time comes but I've heard nothing but praise. Makes me wish FE3 got this kind of love.

I remember months ago when Fates was about to be released in the west, someone did portraits of the Hoshidan and Nohrian royal siblings in the style of the portraits of FE4. I have no idea who made it, or even where to start looking for it, so I'm wondering, has any of you seen it? Or at least know who the artist was? Any help is appreciated in advance.

Rody was the absolute worst for me, he couldn't double anything and had next to no strength. Luke was a little bit better, but only a little bit, and Cecille was probably the best of the three before I benched her for Sirius.
They honestly all kind of suck. I that personal experience doesn't amount to much in these kinds of conversations, but in both FE3 and 12 I could never do very much with them. Granted I didn't abuse the Star Shards so maybe that's my problem. Plus, you get the god that is Sirius, and Abel is a really solid prepromote. It's a shame you get him so late into the game.
