  1. Well that makes 2 of us ;) I'd love to come back whenever you'll have me! I have my instagram account as well, but I I don't really post much of work, more just random life pics but feel free to follow me! @marcellamarceau
  2. Thank you so much!! You guys have really been super sweet to me and I'm glad I haven't let you down with voicing characters that are so close to your hearts. I hope I can keep it up and not disappoint!
  3. I would prefer games for the plot as to game play. Thats's probably just the actor and movie geek in me. I'll add it to the list of games I need try!
  4. I totally agree with you on HP movies! too much special effects . They def could have john Williams come back. Yup that's what I'd say. Unless the character specifically calls for warping. What sweet words, I really appreciate them.
  5. Wow! I didn't realize the different versions would be different.. I figured they would just change the language. Re:names I like Scarlet though there is something mysterious about Crimson. I actually like Kamui. I'm curious why there are different names in the different versions too. I understand what you mean about some particular dialogue sounding "cheesy" I have definitely had to say my fair share of cheesy lines in many parts through out the years. And I think theres at least one cheesy line in every session we do. Either it's cheesy because I said with the complete wrong inflection and then it just sounds funny, or the line was written funny. And lots of the time we'll all have a laugh and then alter the line. I really tried to make Scarlets romance lines as real as possible while still following the direction. i think (hopefully) they turned out not cheesy but sweet. And remember, when you're in love cheesy lines are sometimes the most honest about the experience ;)
  6. Thank you guys! You've been so welcoming! I had no idea so many people would be interested in talking with me. I look forward to getting the rest of your questions :)
  7. Aww wow thank you! I do sing, I wouldn't really call myself a singer but I sing for for every once and of course int eh shower and driving. I'm a soprano. I enjoy singing blues, jazz, classics the best.., and songs from musicals :)
  8. Thank you!! I love girls who kick ass, whoa re ballsy, who are strong, who are vulnerable and real. And I think I'm lucky enough to get to voice characters that embody all of those :) hmmm... "Sorry big brother but I've made my own choice" or something like that. I don't know why I like it... but theres some sass there. I love that song!! thats is what you're referring to right?
  9. Thank you! I will definitely do that! I will try to get it up this week and if not I will send it to Chris to share with all of you. anything in particular you'd like me to say? I'm taking requests ;)
  10. Really?? wow! I'm having a blast too! How video game script recording works is you go line by line. So depending on the size of the character you can have a very long script. Most sessions are around 4 hours long. I would say for the first 20 minutes or so it takes some time to find the character and get in the groove so we might do 2 or 3 takes per line with the director giving direction. Once you're in the groove you then just go line by line cold reading it which I get in 1 or 2 takes. Usually they will want 2 takes either way to use as options. But I'd say we go pretty fast!! I wish I had one of those!! But sadly I don't have any. Because of confidentiality agreements I'm not quit sure if we can record them... But I willa sk next time! You guys are a great bunch! Seriously you've been wonderful. And I truly hope I was able to answer your questions to satisfaction and hopefully you've got a good glimpse of what happens behind the scenes :) I will def post updated on my Facebook page, thank you for your support!
  11. Very true, but I think they're explained so much better int eh books than in the movies!! I do, and I love Matt! There are times where they enhance our voices or warp them depending on the character. For instance Matt's character in League of Legends (my partner), was deepened so that it could have that animalistic quality extra hard to it. They'll sometimes add echoes and what not as well, to give it an effect. I thought you were talking about the more realistic sounding voices which are our own. Once and awhile they play around with the pitch etc, but they wouldn't be able to do much without what we give them to begin with ;)
  12. They are incredibly strict. I can not mention the game, names, characters, company. It's fun! It's like all the games that I do. You're reading all the lines for the first time int he recording booth and once you get into the right groove, the rhythm, everything flows easily and you don't have to try or think at all. You're in it.
  13. Awww thanks so much! I always love hearing that people appreciate my work. Have fun and keep playing!
  14. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to talk about eh next games but if/when I can, I will. Follow me on my Facebook page to be informed of any of my work :) Plot for sure. I enjoy movies, so if a game was more like a movie I would probably play it ;P Phoenix sounds pretty cool, but maybe that's just because I like the name haha!
  15. Hey! No problem at all, thanks for welcoming me! So for each game it's very different. Sometimes I come in before any animation has been done, sometimes I come in to voice dub over other languages, sometimes it's a mix of the 2. Usually it's always the first. So I'll come in and record the lines and then they'll add in the animation to fit the recording. Voice recording is always very early on in the process which is why we have to sign the non discolor agreements. It can sometimes be 1 year before the game is released and we're allowed to talk about it. I did not know Corrin was going to be in smash brothers tis they called me in to record for smash brothers. I didn't even know what I was doing until I show up. Then they told me "So we want you to reprise a voice you did on another game a few months ago" :)
  16. Charmander. When I was a kid I thought he was cute and I loved the fire on his tail. And fire... I've always been attracted to fire. I used to fire hula hoop :P
  17. Mother of Dragons... I wish I was her. Yes of course I would!! I love this series and would love to be a part of it until everyone gets tired of me!
  18. Hey! ha! these are greta :) 1. I want to always be able to push myself further and get uncomfortable. When you're uncomfortable, truly great things happen. 2. Chocolate! All th way. Dark Chocolate. None of that fake milk chocolate stuff ;P 3. Dog person definitely. But I also have cats. 4. Benedict. Soft boiled, hard boiled, scrambled... I like eggs. 5. walking down the street with my dad when I was 10 or so and we heard "My girl" playing in a store. my ad started singing the song and dancing down the street and others started gathering around watching us while he was singing to me. 6. I'm not sure exactly how to do that, But I will try :)
  19. No I've never thought os that... Although I would be a newbie and would need to learn lot to start, that might be fun :) I'm not in the same place as Matt Right now so it might be hard to sit down and play with him though :P
