  1. I think for myself, I count both new games and remakes in each gen, just because the remakes still contain updated/new features, gameplay, story, etc. Also that way I have an excuse to call gens III and IV my favorites, haha.

Also I really do hope they bring challenge mode from Black/White 2 back because that was a really great idea.

I liked it. It broke me out of my habit of using the same Com-Mons I've used since Gen 1/2.

Even though I have reverted back to my old ways of Gyarados/Crobat basically being staples on nearly every single one of my teams.

I suppose that's fair. For me it just didn't feel like Pokemon because there was nothing familiar until post game. Though I guess it too forced me to use new Pokemon haha.

The shot is clearly off-screen and low quality. Thus, it's impossible to say.

I suppose, but you'd think they'd have more dynamic camera angles or something considering it'll be on the Switch. I mean, say the screenshot is real, then I must say, I'm mildly disappointed that the over-world will look just like the 3DS games. (Granted, again, this is based solely off *one* unconfirmed screenshot)

Well, as long as I can actually play as an adult and not a random 10 year-old, I'm be happy. Doubt it'll happen though.

with a lot of people still left being absolutely livid when they found out it was only Gen 5 Pokemon until the post-game.

    LMAO I'M STILL DISAPPOINTED.

Well, it still doesn't seem to be as disliked as Tamanoir said.

Oh, definitely not. I personally liked 7th gen a lot. I really hated 5th gen and disliked 6th gen when they came out (except ORAS - ORAS is great), but Sun/Moon got me back into the games. I think the criticism draws from post-game, battletree, lack of national dex and lack of gyms. There's more than that but that's mostly what I hear being complained about. The criticism for Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon is worse, but that's really not surprising due to it basically being the exact same game, haha.

I've only seen praise for gen 7.

Nah, it's pretty mixed. I wouldn't say a lot of people dislike it or anything, but it's definitely not only praise.

Anywho, I forgot to say my last two reasons for being okay if the next game is in Kanto:

    1. I want to see Kanto in full 3D lmao

    2. I feel like it'd be way too soon to have another new region. Also, with the amount of Pokemon there are now, it's starting to become overwhelming. I think it'd be better to rework older Pokemon or make adjustments rather than add a whole new plethora of them into the mix. (Also, will Z-Moves be removed? Cuz like, those seemed to be specifically designed for Alola. Personally I kinda want them gone... they didn't add much and are just unnecessary. If anything, they should add more Megas for those who need 'em)

  6. Well, if it's going to be like Pokemon GO then no thanks.

However, if it's going to be like any other main-series Pokemon title and is featured in Kanto again, then count me in. Kanto is my favorite region with all of my favorite Pokemon. I don't care if Kanto has been accessible in Gens 1-4, for me, it'll never stop being good haha. (Besides, who knows how they'll update it if this rumor if true)

Jokes on you I did a vs wonderlocke of sun with my friend with only 3 loses

Reminds me of when I did a Firered soul link nuzlocke with my friend and literally every Pokemon that died was because of him haha. (We didn't win)

ANYWHO, I dunno if you've decided already, but I vote Gold because I don't think I've actually ever have seen a 2nd gen nuzlocke before. I've seen 1st gen, and 3rd gen+, but not 2nd gen. Also 2nd gen is just really fun to play/watch, imo.

  8. I didn't even see the Pokemon sub-forum until just now so I want to contribute as well haha.

My favorite Pokemon can't be just one, so let me list my top 3.

    1. Starmie - My favorite water type. Idk why, I just *really* like Starmie a lot.

    2. Persian - My favorite normal type. I just love how Persian looks, especially in Colosseum/XD. It's so chill. (I really don't like its Alolan form, however)

3.Vileplume - My favorite grass+poison type. Another one where I just really like how it looks. I also use it in almost every game whenever possible.

  9. Spoiler

    Blue: Charmander

    Yellow: Forcibly Pikachu

    Silver: Totodile

    Crystal: Chikorita

    Fire red: Charmander

    Leaf green: Bulbasaur

    Sapphire: Mudkip

    Emerald: Treecko

    Colosseum: Forcibly Espeon/Umbreon

XD: I evolved my Eevee into Vaporeon

    Platinum: Piplup

    Heartgold: Cyndaquil

    Soulsilver: Chikorita

I've played through every game with basically every starter as well, these are just the starters I chose for my first play-throughs :p

The only starters I've never chosen and probably never will are Oshawott and Chespin. I don't own my copy of White anymore and I absolutely hate Chespin's evolved form lol.

  10. Oooh this topic is still going! I wanna contribute too~

So I just finished my freshman year of college and here is a couple bits of advice:

    1. Communicate. Just talk to your room mate. You don't have to be friends or anything, but if you aren't capable of talking to each other, it'll be one hell of an awkward year. Also you of course need to communicate regarding plans if you want to have people stay over or anything like that. 'Tis rude if you don't.

    2. Be assertive. If your room mate is doing something that you don't like, be assertive and stand up for yourself - it's your room too. Just... gauge what your actions, you don't want to be too nit-picky lol.

Anyways that's all I wanted to say.

  11. I always thought that all the FE games were "anime", but not in terms of tropes or anything like that, but due to them having that "anime" art style a.k.a. Japanese cartoon/comic style. I was also under the impression that all FE games fell into that "anime" stigma due to the art style (like most games with "anime" art), except that it has gotten worse due to recent games (For the reasons you listed).

Anyways, IS probably *is* intentionally trying to appeal to that more... "out there" kind of anime fans because they know it'll sell well. If they can profit from it, then why not? Personally, I don't really care as long as the game is enjoyable. Although the more fanservice-y stuff can get in the way, I find it fine as long as they keep it tamed and not bloody everywhere.

  12. Hmm, I suppose I have, even now I guess. I think it would be really nice to be some sort of hero, and I firmly believe that if I was given the option to help others, even for no personal gain, I would. I really do want people to be happy and to live good lives so seeing others smile would be enough of a reward for me. (Sorry if that sounds cheesy, but... eh)

I find it strange that they didn't broadcast that too, seeing as how it would more of less present Kim Jong Un in a positive light for his people, I would think. Then again, it could've been announced in newspapers or something.

To me, not broadcasting it comes off as it being something small, minuscule, unimportant. That's why I have some mixed feelings about all the celebration stuff. It just feels like those in charge in NK don't care. Then again, that's just me.

Did NK say anything specifically about what they plan on doing with the nuclear missiles that they currently have? I know that they're stopping nuclear tests and what-not, but I don't recall anything being said about those missiles that they already have and what their plan with those are.

  14. 1 minute ago, indigospace said:

This probably isn't the exact article or news source that you saw, but it has the same information. Countries like China and NK are pretty heavy on censorship, so I'm not surprised. Hell, NK's hotels are filled with books, but the kicker is that the books were written by Kim Il Sung. If you need proof, it's in this documentary. It's mentioned at 9:19 for reference. Anyway, I'm getting off topic....

But yeah, what you said about the peace talks not airing is correct.

Ahh yeah! The article I saw basically had the same information. Anywho, thanks for that. :p

  15. I usually like to be optimistic about this kind of stuff but I can't help but to have doubts? It just feels off to me, I guess. I don't really have anymore to add other than that. However, I do hope that things turn for the better. (Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't North Korea not even air anything related to the peace talks when those were taking place? I thought I saw something about them just playing their normal television broadcasts. I thought that was odd - if I'm incorrect about this, let me know.)

    • You're a Nazi? You can go to Stormfront. You can surround yourself with white supremacists. You can inundate yourself with Nazi news feeds and debate Nazi ideas, and converse pleasantly with your fellow Nazis about the finer points of Zionist plots to control public opinion and "Antidiscrimination=White Genocide." You can thoroughly convince yourself that any media outlet failing to report the zionist plots and the white genocide is not credible; only the sources on your blog talking about the signs of the coming race war are well-researched and reliable.
    • You believe the current state of the world is a sign of the End Times? You can go to WorldNetDaily. You can surround yourself with doomsayers. You can inundate yourself with "christian science" news feeds and debate interpretations of End Times prophecy, and converse pleasantly with your fellow congregants about how the Prophets predicted Darwinism, the Holocaust, 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the legalization of abortion and gay marriage, and Russian intervention in Syria . You can thoroughly convince yourself that any any media outlet failing to report the imminent signs of the rapture is not credible; only the sources on your blog talking about how the theory of evolution is part of the "gay agenda" are well-researched and credible.
    • You're a deep state conspiracy theorist? You can go to infowars. You can go to Breitbart. Hell--at this point, you can just watch FOX News.

This is why if I'm curious about something or want to form some sort of opinion (like most sane people), I look at multiple sources. I question why (seemingly) many people only look to one information outlet to create their opinions and what-not. Do people do that just so that they can feel that they're "right", or what? I've never really understood those who don't want to learn more or to be more well-informed. *shudders at the thought of people who only use Alex Jones as their news-source*

First off, I'm not even surprised honestly. I find this really funny, actually.

Second off, I know this isn't new or anything nor directly related to the article you shared, but I still (sarcastically) appreciate the fact that Obama's program has been criticized for being comprehensive. Like, god forbid people gain more knowledge on important matters such as having safe sex. It baffles me that that has ever been a criticism or considered a valid one.

lmao I remember this. What a time to be alive, that was.

As far as my opinion on Alex Jones... he genuinely worries me. As people in the thread have already made clear, he's a conspiracy-theorist nut-job who simply spouts extremist views with inconsistency, and can be rather wishy-washy at times. It always surprises me that fairly large amounts of people can find it in themselves to believe the crap he says considering how they can be far-fetched or outright false. But then again, I should probably remove my mindset of thinking that people in-general are smart enough not to base the entirety of their beliefs off of a single radio talk show host. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  19. I would say I'm surprised, but honestly, at this point I'm really not. Regardless, I can't see any good coming from this. Yay for rash decisions~

@Tryhard Bombings aside... Alex Jones high-key makes me concerned. He's just so... yikes. I feel bad for the staff that works with him, haha. But yeah, that is a pretty good reaction lmao.
