  1. I mean...the most common solutions to red mages are gonna be blue mages. Though obviously that isn't a perfect solution since it relies largely on luck of the draw. A less efficient approach is to have a melee blue with high res (most pegasus knights) tank the hit then kill the turn after.
  2. Your recent experience says otherwise :P Also drag just always felt really weird and unnatural to me, personally
  3. Bruh I changed from Drag to Tap on release day wyd My condolences, friend.
  4. RIP I personally still find the flexibility offered by healers to outdo anything a healer could provide overall, but that's just me :/
  5. How decked out is your Nino? You shouldn't need (or even want) a healer if she has Desperation.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all of the Tempest maps Awakening maps? This particular portal seems to be connected to the world of Awakening, which also leaves me to believe we could possibly get Tempest Trials in the future that feature another world. I've personally never had trouble with the flier map because Nino just kills all the blues, but I imagine it must be frustrating for people who can't easily handle blues :/ My team personally has trouble with multiple red mages since Robin doesn't have the res to tank a bunch, even with T-Adept.
  7. I believe I've sometimes gotten all 3 colors, but yeah it does seem to mostly be triple blue (or two blue, two green) in my experience.
  8. I actually never pulled a Klein either until spending $100 on the Bride banner (and no Bride Cordelia after all of that). Before that though, I happened to pull a 5* Hawkeye on the Golden Week banner while trying for Hector, so I just sacrificed him. I'm actually considering replacing my Ryoma's Fury because sometimes I feel like the chip damage hurts him more in the long run than the extra stats help him. The chip damage isn't such a big deal in a single Arena match, but it's a lot more noticeable in the Tempest.
  9. The one with the giant shrub in the middle? Because that's easily my least favorite map in the set :/ It slows me down so much because I have to squeeze units in one by one, sometimes having to retreat after a kill so that I'm not killed on the counterattack. I'm rarely in danger of dying there, but it does slow my run down considerably.
  10. Welcome to "literally any gacha game ever". You are absolutely right in that luck plays a huge role in how much effort you have to put in. I am not going to pretend it doesn't. But the only difference between those who are lucky and those who are not is how much effort you have to put in. The "lucky" player may be able to get the 100k rewards with the amount of time and resources it takes for you to get to 50k. But you can still make up the gap by putting in more time and resources than the "lucky" player. Is it fair? Arguably not, no. But the fact of the matter is that it is still possible for you to get all of the high rewards, even if you need to put more time and energy in than others might. At the end of the day, yes it is about giving it your all. The only thing "luck of the draw" changes is how much time and energy you have to put in. The only thing "luck of the draw" does is make it easier to get the rewards. But if those rewards are within your reach if you are willing to put in the effort, then the only thing stopping you from reaching those rewards is your unwillingness to put in the time and the effort and the resources. You have one of two choices. You can either put in the work to get the rewards, or you can simply not get the rewards. At the end of the day, it is that simple. In any case, I am done with this conversation. If you wish to continue, then you are free to PM me, but I do not wish to clog up the thread any more than we already have.
  11. I don't know what to tell you except to improve your time as that seems to be the easiest and most straightforward way of boosting your score. And if that's something you absolutely cannot do, then either be willing to spend stamina potions (and potentially even orbs) to make up for the remaining points or curb your expectations and shoot for a lower goal. Nintendo/IS should not be expected to make attaining the rewards even more accessible than they already have. I understand that this is many people's first gacha, so they don't know what to expect. I also understand that Nintendo/IS has been extremely nice and lenient since the launch of the game by giving out rewards that are attainable my nearly everyone. But what they are doing now with this event is perfectly reasonable. In fact, it's still nice by a typical gacha event's standards. The fact that it's even possible for you to get the best rewards without having to do the hardest difficulty is already amazing. In any case, you still have a chance, if you're willing to work for it. You may need to spend some stamina potions and maybe even orbs, but you still have a chance. Don't give up! But if you are not willing to put in the time, energy, and resources for the best rewards, then don't expect to get the best rewards.
  12. It's a bit frustrating to have stamina be wasted, sure, but you'll be fine. IS has been nice enough this event to where you don't need to be able to do the hardest difficulty consistently or be completely efficient with stamina usage to get the best rewards (namely the 5* and the seals) :D I also may just be acclimated to this since grinding nonstop for hours every day during an event is par for the course in any standard gacha event. The difference between those and this one being that you don't need to grind for hours on the hardest difficulty for the best rewards and can achieve them even through playing Hard, which is really nice of them.
  13. SB 2 is perfectly serviceable. Sure, you won't get quite as many Arena points, but it's not that big of a deal ultimately.
  14. Turns per stage. You could literally put your phone down and watch a movie, and it wouldn't affect the time score.
  15. 1) What's the origin of your username? 2) Why is Celica your fave? 3) If Celica is really your fave, why won't you give her Life and Death? 4) What is it about Celica that made you fall in love with her? 5) Who were your top 3 favorite characters on Celica's route (not counting Celica herself)? 6) Who were your top 3 least favorite characters on Celica's route? 7) Say something mean about each of the answers to #5 and Celica 8) Say something nice about each of the answers to #6 9) Despite your love for Celica, how can you justify her actions (Answer in spoiler tags for the sake of others on this thread) 10) If you could rewrite one part of the storyline of Echoes, what would you change?
  16. 1) I actually quite like your first point and think it'd be great if it were true. 2) "Lonely eyes" and "reminds me of my sister" are honestly all we're getting from him. Knowing his personality I'd believe that's all it takes too. 3) I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's the former. 4) It's a mobile game, so one-dimensional characters wouldn't be out of place I believe that she isn't actually that optimistic and happy all the time but puts up a front to help cheer her mopey brother up and give him confidence. Or at least to keep the atmosphere from being too depressing. Plus I think it's to help mask her own pain concerning the loss of Zacharias.
  17. Quick Riposte for sure. It allows her to double when she wouldn't normally and grants her far more ORKOs than she has with any other skill. If you don't have QR fodder, then Swordbreaker is serviceable as well. Fury and Triangle Adept are widely considered her best A-skills, so I would pick based on whether you want her to be more specialized towards killing and tanking reds or have her be more generally good. Of course, what fodder you have will also influence your choice. I would recommend Moonbow for her special since Lightning Breath increases special cd, making most other skills have cooldowns too long to be useful. If you want a longer cd skill anyways, then Bonfire's your best bet. Assist skills are highly flexible according to player preference, but a repositioning skill like Reposition or Swap are good options. Finally, for her C skill, her default Threaten Res is fine, but you could also have her be more team oriented by giving her a Hone/Fortify/Spur support skill.
  18. What difficulty are you doing? Even a hard clear should net you 300-400 points per clear, which (if we use the low end for calculations) is 300 points per 20 stamina. That translates to 1500 points per full bar, and you should get 3 full bars in a day for a total of 4500 per day. The seal is the 50k point reward, so since we have 12 days left, that's 4200 points per day. That is an achievable goal even without spending stamina potions.
  19. Yes, exactly. I'll try to tone it down a bit, but... I'm just annoyed that people are complaining about the grind when IS is already being nicer to us than most gacha games would be.
  20. You're kidding, right? Two weeks is more than enough time to grab the free 5* and maybe even the seal, even if you can't do Lunatic. As for the rewards between 50k and 100k, those are just bonuses for the people who either play really well or are willing to put in time and effort for them. They aren't meant for everyone. IS has been spoiling us by offering events where, up till now, everyone can get all the rewards. So when they give us an event that's reminiscent of a perfectly standard gacha event (ie. tiered rewards with lots of grinding involved, requiring you to play the top difficulty while barely letting you waste stamina and maybe even forcing you to use premium currency for recharges if you want the best rewards). In fact, even by those standards, IS is being lenient with this event since you don't even need to play Lunatic OR spend stamina potions to get the best reward (the Quickpulse seal). If this were the difficulty of a perfectly average gacha event, then you would have to be able to play Lunatic consistently and do it without wasting any stamina (or spending stamina pots to make up for inefficient usage) to have a shot at the seal. IS is being nice. Two weeks isn't just "enough". Two weeks is more than necessary.
  21. I mean I just got really lucky. I took a look at his growths later and was blown away by the fact that he somehow was as blessed as Mathilda. RNG will be RNG, I guess.
  22. Clair and Mathilda never got fewer than 3 stat ups per level, so you may be onto something Idk I don't particularly like Atlas, but he was one of the most blessed units out of either army. Merc!Atlas surpassed both Saber and Kamui really quickly for me.
  23. I went all canon classes for my first run, and my Mage Kliff remained pretty decent all game actually. My Mae on the other hand ended up far below average, getting passed up by Boey in literally every stat but res (even speed. SPEED) But Delthea's ridiculous 70% attack growth. That's more than double Kliff's attack growth. She's so worth it. Hello Love <3 get it? because your name is GuiltyLove not that I'm saying I don't love you
  24. Among my 5*s it's tied between +Spd, -Atk (Effie, Eldigan, and Minerva) and +Spd, -HP (Julia, Robin, Tharja)
