    Starting tomorrow. The question is,

    Team Smelliwood or Team Hectic?

Marvelous! I hope you'll have lots of fun playing the game. This installment is arguably the best I've ever played since it was my first FE game haha. It was quite a journey and I am still attached to the characters until today.

@Arcanite I'm honestly pretty excited for you to get into FE7, and I hope you have a lot of fun with it :D

(Also get hyped because Hector is just as broken in his original game as he is in Heroes. Except he has just as much movement as anyone else. So even better >:D)

Mhmm mhmm. And once you have gotten Lucius, we'll share the disappointment of how they transformed an OP killing machine saint into a tiny healing peanut in Heroes. :-_-:

I tried it once, Sheena 4* 38, Effie & Draug 4* 37, Gwendolyn 3* 35. Discovered that Sheena with Ward Armor from Draug cannot survive one round against Ephraim (no armorslayer). I think I'll focus on the other quests...

You should be able to manage, but it might be helpful to use Draug so you'll have some red. Unless you just avoid times when the Tenth Stratum has more greens than your own greens can handle.

Thanks for the inputs! So Draug is recommended for this quest... Too bad I only have him at 2☆s. Is it worth upgrading him to 4☆s? I have Gwendolyn as well but she's only 3☆.

It's a bit disappointing how there is only 1 red armored unit. :-_-:

  3. Hmm... with Hector, a 4☆ Effie, and 2 4☆ Sheenas, do y'all think it's possible to finish the armored quest? I'm training the 2 Sheenas now and they're level 25 (Slow process ). Effie's level 34 and will soon be trained once the Sheenas hit the same level as her. Idk if I can do it... I mean I'm also training my fliers team which also looks murky. (Michaelis, Cordelia, Caeda, Narcian all 4☆s)

What do you guys think? Should I push on or just forget about it?

(Mostly F2P but threw some money into the game. No regrets though!)

    Thanks in advance! :^_^:

The main event doesn't begin until Thursday 24th March. However, on Monday 20th March between 12:15pm and 1:00pm GMT+0, everyone will have the chance to beat this Grand Hero Battle early.

We will receive special rewards for hitting milestones during this "early bird" event:

50,000 people defeat Michalis: 5,000 feathers for everyone.
50,000 people defeat the harder map: 5 orbs for everyone.

Times for specific timezones (all dates are 20th March):

    GMT+9 (Japan): 9:15pm - 10:00pm
    GMT+8 (China): 8:15pm - 9:00pm
    GMT+3 (Western Middle-East): 3:15pm - 4:00pm
    GMT+1 (Europe): 1:15pm - 2:00pm
    GMT-4 (East-coast America): 7:15am-8:00am
    GMT-7 (Pacific time): 4:15am-5:00am

If you're still not sure what your time zone relative to GMT is, look for your country on this map and add/subtract that number of hours from 12:15pm.

    Good luck Americans.

As far as I'm aware, this does mean you can get 4 Michalis if you beat both difficulties during both events.

Ugh, I'm not going to be up that early! This stinks...

Derp. I just realized I have to set up an alarm earlier than my usual wake up time because it's a school day. On top of that, midterms. *gasp*

While I do like the event, why only give us a 45min timeframe? Should have upped the milestones but extended the timeframe so that more people have time to participate.

Man, I dunno. I mean it does feel nice to finish this event early and contribute to those overall rewards. But I don't even know if I can finish up in just 45 minutes. RIP stamina potions.

I'm not complaining (heck, who would actually complain about this?) But rather curious enough to wonder why they are showering us with orbs lately. There must be a really big event coming up? :o:

Wow these Grand Hero battles just keep on getting better and better! I can hardly wait for this one.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I think that IS deliberately kept healers from inheriting poison strike to prevent cancer strats that can put down 40+ damage on a single unit. That kind of strat would trivialize the campaign now that I think about it. Hehe.

Yes I understand, and it is the painful truth as of now. Inflicting 17 damage after combat that ignores def and res sure can be overpowered.  But I just wish they would provide flexibility on the usage of healers because their only role in this game is to tend to their wounded allies... and that's it. I hope they would give some skills that will somehow up their gameplay and give them options to be unique (i.e, staves that are effective against Blue tome users, etc.) This way, they have varying roles while not being considered as being 'op'. I believe the same concept should apply to dagger users or colorless units in general as well. :>_<: But I'm sure they will make some modifications in the future, ot is too early to judge the game at this moment.

I know not what is going on with your plans and since I did not understand what you said all I can say is

    Spoiler

The fact that a healer can't inherit certain skills is strange though. What about another AOE like Savage Blow?

Though to be fair most Assists are also staff-exclusive. It makes you wonder how versatile they could be if their damage wasn't halved...

Healers can learn Savage Blow, which is another esoteric part of the game.. It's kind of upsetting how they nerfed stave users in this game so badly.

    Is Poison Strike Dagger only?

    6 minutes ago, MrSmokestack said:

So it seems passive skill restrictions are tighter than was previously thought.

I don't have access to any Poison strike units to check for inheritance at the moment, but it would be a good idea to check for any other skills that are not only exclusive to unit type but also to weapon type. I'd appreciate any input you guys can give on this.

Fortunately, poison strike is not restricted to other units  but only to clerics, which is strange. But yeah your ultimate death plan has not been foiled @Arcanite :^_^:

you were the one who wanted to find a nche for lucius right? i have a +8 lucius help me xD how do i use this guy

Yes, I was the one! Ahh I wish I could have that +8 Lucius of yours. :o:

I basically just put Live to Serve on him so that it will synergize well with his Martyr. I also put a Hone Atk on him so that he could bring more support to his teammates. Feel free to switch and experiment with what specials goes best with him, this mainly depends on your set-up if you want higher bursts of heals (Imbue) or include more buffs (Balm).

The idea is, you have to let him eat as much damage as possible (preferably from mages since he has high res) then heal his teammates like there's no tomorrow.

On a different note, if you want to turn things up a little different, you can play offensively since Lucius has a high attack. Put Pain or Assault on his weapon, Seal Res or Wings of Mercy on Type B, and Savage Blow on Type C to maximize his 'softening' abilities.

It's all about how your team is set-up and how you want his role to be.

I really am glad that you asked me for this. Thank you and I hope you'll have fun with Lucius!

Edit: You cannot inherit poison strike to Clerics because of weapon restrictions, sorry about that. Big thanks to @Tragonight for helping me recall!

  10. Has anyone managed to maximize Wrys' healing abilities by upgrading him to 5☆? I need to do a comparison whether the Rehabilitation + Imbue + Live to Serve is a better combination than Martyr + Imbue + Live to serve so if anyone could help me with thedata,I would greatly appreciate it!

I recently transferred Wrys' Live to Serve to Lucius (yes, that's how motivated I am to make Lucius useful despite the frustration from his class anomaly) and I think his heals are better now since the reduced amount of heal from himself caused by Martyr is being compensated by Live to Serve. Then again, I wouldn't be able to make a complete conclusion until I tried Rehabilitate on him (Also transferred from Wrys, and it's taking me a while because it's kind of a slow process to level up healers. For me at least.).

So as of now here is his performance:

    Spoiler

I wasn't able to record his self-heals before transferring but I believe it's somewhere around 6-8 hp for this example if he was to heal for a huge 44 hp.

So yes, if anyone would care to help, it will be greatly appreciated! :D:

  11. Kind of surprised to see that Camus' hero battle isn't planned yet since his art/sprite is already in the game. But yay! At least we'll get Lloyd soon (and hopefully his brother), anyone planning to build the infamous Four Fangs?

Also excited for the new features! This is a huge step forward for the game. This is a bit too much, but I'm still wondering when they'll implement the expansion of map size, or party size (maybe bump it up to 5? Since enemy reinforcements are somewhere just around the corner. Ha!) Or even the opportunity to use a friend's Rep unit on scenarios and training tower (not just limited to voting gauntlet, which is also random).

Other than that, superb proposal of updates! Thanks for starting this thread! :^_^:

Weeeeell, Linde's Aura tome has Breath of Life, and she can sacrifice 10 HP from herself to a teammate...

Ah yes, you have a good point. But what if they put a typical cleric skill on his assist (i.e, mend, martyr, or even rehabilitate)?

Sorry, I keep on asserting stuff about Lucius. I just couldn't get over the suspicion that he'll most likely be a colorless healer in this game, when in fact, he burns dark druids alive from the original series.

Good luck! I'll be cheering you on. *cheers*

I wish I had enough merch to make a summon pentagram.

Except all the tome weapons in this game actually have their own tome sprites. And all of the attacking art of people using staves are holding up staves. And all of the attacking art of people using magic are not holding up staves.

I've been thinking maybe Lucius will be the first to be a hybrid in the game with tremendous attack (classified as blue tome user with light weapon) yet capable of keeping his allies alive as well with a healing spell assist (he will lack a special, though this can be fixed once Inherit skills is implemented).

If they do that I'm bungee jumping off a cliff. It seems unlikely because, if it was like that, they probably would not have increased the reward, right?

I don't think it's physically possible for Intelligent Systems to be that charitable.

Ehh, I guess all of you have a valid point. But at least we will still get a huge amount of orbs that's worth 20 first clears of story which is also equivalent to a hefty sum of stamina. And that's perfectly fine! Then again, nothing wrong with hoping for the company's generous act.

So like, do you just keep increasing the height of these cliffs, or are you doing multiple jumps? Are we gonna get a bungee montage?

I'm right now imagining @Arcanite either digging the base of the cliff deeper or in a crane pulling the top of the cliff up higher.

At least we're not making you bungee jump into the hole you've dug yourself at this point. Now that would be terrifying.

My, my. Quite a crowd you got there, @Arcanite. These people are really looking forward to it.

Ooh, great to see some more FE7 characters!

Ninian's never been my favorite but it would be great to finally have a dancer unit in my army and, well, I'm going to go for Lucius too just because he's awesome tbh.

Here's to hoping that we'll be able to pull lovely Lucius! Have to go with you on Ninian haha. I never really needed a dancer on my first playthrough of FE7, so I could care less if I don't get her, but if I do, then good stuff! But i'm not as hyped with her as I am with Lucius, who looks so beautiful in this game btw (kudos to the artist!). I wonder who will his VA be and how will he sound like.
