I think Loyd's art looks okay. It's not one of my favorites, but I don't think it's particularly bad. He does look a little too psychotic in his default pose, but it could have been a lot worse imo.

Well there's nothing wrong with thinking that. I enjoy the 3ds games but they definitely have issues. Just don't act like thinking that makes you better than people that do like the new games and you're good.

A small group people just really don't like the new (post-awakening) fire emblem games and feel like they have to let everyone know. Usually their main complaints have to do with the games becoming more about waifus than strategy and consider people that like the new games to not be real fire emblem fans.

Yeah, they're a small but vocal minority. But since they're so loud sometimes the entire fire emblem community gets grouped with them.

There are some vocal haters, but I think most people aren't that bad. And when someone goes over the line they usually get downvoted. Her Robin support was actually one of her better ones. Its been awhile but I don't remember Chrom really coming up in it.

I actually think that was a worse problem with Cordelia. Robin doesn't come up in as many of Tharja's supports as Chrom does in Cordelia's. Reddit's really not that bad. /r/fireemblem gets a bad rep but from what I've seen they're actually pretty welcoming. Fire Emblem x pokemon! Really I just want a pokemon conquest sequel, but it would be cool to see what pokemon various fire emblem characters had.

I'm a guy on Team Leo! Robin's also more of a main character than Leo, so that helps.

Yeah she's definitely one of the more...divisive characters. Just don't plan on hiring any servants.

Only if it can be young Zephiel from 7. Maybe i could get along with older Zeph if I told him I thought dragons were cool.

Yeah a lot of characters I like in fire emblem I probably would not want to hang out with in real life.

Well Voldemort is so obviously evil it's hard to think of why a decent person would follow him. But I guess you could say the same thing about some Fire Emblem villains.

They don't see it as being stalked, but as a hot girl being really into them. Basically it's similar to that joke about how the difference between something being creepy and romantic is how attractive the person is.

A combination of fanservice, backlash of her popularity, her treatment of Noire, and some people don't like her because they consider her crush on Robin Avatar pandering. Plus she's the favorite to win and people like to root for the underdog. I don't have a problem with Tharja but I think those are most of the reasons people dislike her.

I think the multiplier works. The more popular character still wins, but it's no longer a stomp and they actually have to exert some effort

I think that has a lot to do wth it. Julia is one of the best mages, and fulfills a niche not many other characters can do. Sanaki's good, but she doesn't really do anything that other red mages can't do just as well or better. She's in an even worse state post inheritance because formerly mediocre red mages like Sophia and Henry can even be made good.

Is it bad that I disliked Umbridge more than Voldemort? Serenes keeps not showing my posts as loaded after I hit submit, but when I reload the page they appear.

And doesn't Dire Thunder also double on enemy phase in FE5? I've not played it but that's what I heard.

I may go to Tharja if Leo loses to Robin just so I can finally win a gauntlet. Also I do kind of like her.

I don't think it's just Ike. Soren, Titania, and Micaiah are popular as well. But I don't think Sanaki's that popular.

Also a lot of people on /r/fireemblem like Julia because she's a good unit and they find her personality cute, so that probably helped her.

Well looks like we beat Henry. Too bad I doubt we have much of a chance against Robin. Maybe someday my pick will make it to the final round. I hope later they do another mage gauntlet with the characters not in this one so I can support Soren or Lilina.
