  1. "Dodging very tired. After march, still got strength to dodge meh?" Su San replied grinning foolishly, "Su San lazy dodge. Like heavy armour, move less, weapon not pain. You should try one day."
  2. Before he could steer the group to somewhere to get food, the trio was accosted by what appeared to be two religious folk. Caslan suddenly and wordlessly gave thanks Conan was not in that crowd. Shaking Cassandra's hand, the elven mage greeted, somewhat unprepared for the encounter, "Ah, hi..."
  3. "We could search for a nice quiet corner of the woods and..." Leading the group out of the shop, Caslan suggested, "We could perhaps seek out some local dish to eat that does not come from the inn. I've been drinking but eating...not so much."
  4. Again Su San did his long nod, "So, you join mercenary, wan train to fight better izzit? Also, why you no wear metal armour?"
  5. Su San's warrior instincts could generally tell him if someone was not being entirely honest or not. And it tingled ever so slightly that the foreigner dismissed it, more concerned with nodding to ensure his eyes wandered top to bottom and back up. "Your master, she fight many people?"
  6. "Ha, next food you buy me," Su San answered as he paid the necessary coin to give himself three cobs of the corn and one for his companion. "Su San happy got people talk to." Leading Jullianne to a nearby bench in the Artisan Quarter that was next to a pond, the foreigner asked, "So, where you learn to fight?"
  7. Frowning, Caslan muttered, "Right." And promptly replaced the cloak on the stack. It was not a pressing need at the moment...he could still use that large blanket of his if he really needed an extra layer, ascetics be damned. Twitching his ears, trying to appear contemplative, Caslan gave Linn his opinion, "Impressive find relative to the wares sold here."
  8. "Which one you like more?" Su San asked Julliane. Eyeing the nice golden look to the plant, the foreigner had an inclination to a few cobs, ideally glistening with some salt on it as he really loved salt.
  9. Separating one cloak away, Caslan asked with a sigh, "Alright how much for just one?"
  10. Picking a street hawker that looked like it had more care about personal hygiene than the rest, Su San wandered up to the stall and asked, "What food special here? Got good corn?"
  11. Su San searches Artisan Quarter for its selection of fancy places to eat. The foreigner decided against even checking the Crown Quarter, suspecting anything there would be far outside his budget range.
  12. "Hmm, Su San remember!" Su San nodded with a grunt. At the back of his head, Su San was amazed that he did not give that stranger a punch for insulting him. Snorting the foreigner continued, "Dunno who that. Man say can see future if give gold. Su San no like. Su San like see girl more, no need see tomorrow today." "Girl wan eat what?" Su San asked as he made his way out of the tailor shop first. "Su San no wan rich food. No 'nough gold yet."
  13. Su San looked to his side, surprised at the sudden conversation he was entrusted with. Shaking his head, the foreigner answered, "No. Su San only wan if free. Su San pay gold, see pritty girl in pritty clothes. Good 'nuff."
  14. Despite being a little disappointed, Su San nodded and stood by the entrance. Taking out a coin, the myrmidon flipped it in the air then caught it as he bet against himself if it was heads or tails. This he repeated for a long while.
  15. "Big better," Su San pointed at the one with the long skirt. He was feeling generous after all. Settling the payment, Su San asked Julianne, "You eat already?"
  16. "Ya," Su San said off handedly as he counted his gold again before asking casually, "Ey, which wan cheap?"
  17. Casually walking around the shop, Caslan felt the fabric of the various wares for sale. Some were rather smooth despite their gaudy colours, others felt tight and clingy while some were very badly crumpled due to lack of care. An ancient looking spindle lay near the back of the shop, a rather curious sight that made the elf think of fairy tales. "Well, maybe some cloaks would be good," Caslan answered Zeff as he started digging through a pile, "They at least have an excuse to get all dirty..." Picking out two cloaks that felt tough and looked rather drab, almost as if it were curtains made so poorly its possibly deranged maker decided they were better served as cloaks, Caslan brought them forward to the counter and forked out two gold coins asking, "Will these be enough?"
  18. "Yah. Can," Su San answered quickly before looking around at all the poorly armoured variety of wares in the shop. "That one good!" the foreigner exclaimed pointing at a gown that was...strange in design. It sported only one colour and that was pale blue, but it had a strange cut to the midriff, large enough to expose the belly while the side skirts had long slits one side all the way up to the waist. The cutting on top was odd, with the clothing covering the neck and mostly sleeveless. "That one good. Su San buy for you," Su San told Julliane with a grin while feeling his petty cash and wondering if he had enough for some cheap questionable food in dingier quarters after such a purchase.
  19. Su San snorts and walks out of the place without the word. He would not let such a wonderful day ruined by some uncouth sales person. He considered taking a few practice swings with his newly improved great axe, but alas the foreigner felt extra law abiding today. He had already spent good coin on something useful after all. After a while of walking Su San makes his way to the clothes shop. Gold exists to be spent, perhaps a nice new suit to fit in was in order. One to keep under wraps, safely tucked and probably never worn to keep it intact. "Alo pritty!" Su San called out to Jullianne as he entered the tailors, instantly feeling happier with something nice to gaze upon.
  20. "No need bed," Su San said shaking his head, a bit disappointed with what he had learned. But at least now he knew that the rich had their own carpenters. He would take note to remember the names of skilled craftsman for when he one day became a conqueror. But there was something he could use to make his travels better... "Got sell sleep...bag? Bed can carry, can bring outside," the foreign myrmidon used his hands and fingers to imitate the movement of a person with his other hand trust under the thumb as if the 'hand' person was carrying some large wide baggage. "Bed for sleep on grass. Su San wan best."
  21. Walking in as if he owned the place, Su San starts inspecting the lack of wares on display, sniffing in disappointment. Approaching the woman behind the counter, Su San paused for a moment too look around with a dubious expression on his face before asking, "Bed for lord make here?"
  22. Pleased with his improved weapon, Su San started searching the Artisan's quarter for the elusive bed makers. If he wanted to know what good places to spend his gold when he eventually achieves his dreams of richness, debauchery and decadence, best to start early.
  23. Without a word, Caslan followed the rest into the shop, eyeing the surroundings with a measure of doubt. Where the heck did Zeff lead us to?
  24. Su San nod and handed over the gold, extremely happy with extra killing powers for his axe. Maybe he should give it a name too? Thinking back on the name of the shop, the foreigner pondered on the wisdom of shoving Arse through his foes.
  25. After walking in what seemed like circles for a while, Caslan almost asked Zeff if he knew where they were heading, but then they suddenly found the clothing store. It had a few dull coloured cloth draped around it, almost as if it were trying to camouflage in plan sight and somehow working. The sign left dangling seemed to keep turning inwards, as if to hide the sign that it was a clothes shop, only for the wind to occasionally pick up and turn it to face outwards for those rare fateful moments for a passerby to see. "After you Linn," Caslan stood slightly to the side and bowed as he made a gesture for Linn to go first if she so chooses.
