  1. Haha, exactly. Lucius never let me down. I sometimes paired him with Canas for a Light-Dark duo wrecking stuff. Quite a few people told they forgot about Lucius! :D

I am also a big Artur fan but I am not sure I would call him the best.

Speaking of FE6... I kind of wanted to include Lilina in the worst part but thought I would be doing her a disservice (read: to avoid flame). There were times when Lugh failed spectacularly so she picked up the slack but then there were times when she simply could not do much with that skill and speed. Wild card more like.

Hm, I think it is subjective what good design is so I will answer what appeals to me personally.

To me it heavily depends on what I am reading. Genre, setting, seriousness, aims and goals, and so on.

While I prefer to me likable characters (good or evil) with personality or quirks first, I do not mind liking a character solely by their clothes or looks or maybe their weapon. FE in general has pretty stock characters or you do not know much about them but I do like their designs usually.

If I am following a fantasy story then I am sucker for all that cheesy armor or noble clothes or whatever. Same with sci-fi. Bring out the uniforms or such! If it is a more casual setting like a high school or slice of life then I expect normal designs although it is cool when the author tries something slightly eccentric, haha. Honestly, I am not a fan of the usual high school stuff when it comes to character design.

As for promotional artwork or such... I agree. I like it to be awesome in the right way and fitting for what you are about to experience. Even if it is the above mentioned casual life setting.

Heck! I do not even mind some of the more risky or fanservice-y designs but at least make them fit (hue hue) and do a little more than that :D

  3. Best:

    • FE6 - Miledy, Percival, Alan/Lance, Gonzales, Dieck, Rutger
    • FE7 - Hector, Sain, Pent, Canas, Lucius, Raven
    • FE8 - SETH, Ephraim, Ross, Innes, Gerik

    Worst:

    • FE6 - Sophia, Barthe, Wendy, Cecilia, Merlinus, Our Boy, Idunn
    • FE7 - Nino, Renault, Karla,
    • FE8 - The bonus units. Knoll, Syrene

I enjoy being a professional software engineer (plus I fit in really well with the general trend of more casual work cultures at tech companies)

Oh, wow. I do not hear this often but then talking to fellow programmers seems to be hard for the most part because they usually do not feel like talking. Still, I totally agree and I am one of the weirdos who found cool people at work. By that I mean there are plenty of cool people but you often do not meet people from work just for the heck of it, haha.

    Anyway.

Lots of people, lots of experiences. Cultures also play a role so I can only share my own view and what happened.

I was always interested in programming, math and related so I went straight that route pretty aggressively. I banned myself from a lot of things and started programming on my own because... I thought that you can rely on your skill the most. Sure, my uni gave me a lot but eh, I feel like I learned most of it on my own. Started with computer security, switched to robotics. Best decision. Now I like working with that, nobody gets me but it is fine lmao :D

I found out about two golden rules. Even if there are things you super enjoy, you might not be cut out for them long term and professionally. Sometimes you simply have to bite the bullet and go another route. I am more realistic at least about myself but I know when I simply do not have a chance at something. Young people today seem to grow up with the notion that you can do anything and all the online stuff I did not have in the past is now possible. Talking about getting famous online. Many would try again and again but to me it often seems like wishful thinking as they do not really bring much stuff to the table and... should just focus on actual life and careers. It seems to be a controversial opinion, haha.

Not that I am anywhere near secured. I am but... I still feel I need to put even more effort into my job because anything can happen. I do not feel I can trust myself as being good enough just yet. I often advice younger friends when they ask to work on themselves while they still have the chance because there are plenty of distractions and enough time to return to them later when you are set. Having interests and hobbies is important though.

that was a really long post to justify how pistachios suck

    You lost all your integrity.

Dunno but I simply dislike when mods misuse their power to force clearly wrong opinions. That was a beautiful post by athena_57 complete with examples, pathos and crap while your statement here just proves you are incapable of forming coherent feedback. Please stay away from further discussion about nuts because you just make this community look bad.

Shame, really, it is something I have noticed. This community has serious problems agreeing or politely disagreeing with tier lists. It is nuts and... a bit sad.

As for the topic: I totally dislike Nutella. Anyone eating that stuff should reevaluate their life choices, really. Come on.

    Spoiler

    :D
