I agree that Assassins look odd in this game. I don't think it's my favourite class anymore because it doesn't look as cool (I'm so shallow). I think daggers should have returned from Radiant Dawn and replaced swords for Thieves, Tricksters and Assassins.

Ike gets the Greil Mercenaries + a Falcon Knight, presumably either Marcia or Elincia (and my Tharja wiped the floor with them all).

Amelia shall be a Bride so she can once again be an unstoppable lancer in a dress.

- Soldier class playable for Ephraim, Amelia and Nephenee (Ephraim even appears as a Soldier in Champions!) - Custom colours for Avatars/legacy units. It's so odd seeing Mia in blue and not orange. - Joshua Spotpass team - The ability to summon the teams of 3DS friends over the internet instead of settling for whatever stranger you happen to walk past. Personally I don't think multiplayer works particularly well in Fire Emblem, so I'm not too fussed about that. OH, AND: give me an option to disable the cut-ins! They're SO annoying! Tharja can't enter a single battle without Vengeance activating, and while she's my favourite character, her face pops up way too often. "DO YOU LIKE DARKNESS?" "DO YOU LIKE DARKNESS?" "DO YOU LIKE DARKNESS?"

Pega-Pony Princess is my favourite child (*da-da-daaaa*). I pair her with Tsundevera, whom I despised initially because she's so cruel to Cynthia. How can anybody be cruel to Cynthia? She's the most adorable (and quotable) character!

My Lissa went Sage->Falcoknight->Sage again...buuut my Cynthia is a War Cleric with Aether, and it really suits her. She hums her own fanfare while tumbling through enemies with a massive axe and absorbing their health. This is the end, friend!

I haven't paired him off yet, but maybe when I do, I'll go for the less common approach and stick him with Nowi... (Maribelle and Tharja are already taken.)

Grinding in story mode simply for the sake of getting stronger feels like cheating, so I didn't do much of that...but getting stronger isn't the only reason for going into challenges or sidequests. The random appearances of enemies on the map, I didn't pay much attention while I was still going through the story, but I did battle the daily Spotpass character each time one appeared, and I played the DLC maps once each (though EXPonential growth isn't available here yet so it's not like I broke the game with it), just to get as much out of the game as possible, not because I wanted to make my team stronger. Admittedly, I did grind the few children and Spotpass characters that I used, but only to make them catch up with the difficulty level, not to make them too powerful. Except Jaffar, he's already amazingly awesome.

That Iwata Asks was where I got it from. The way I understood it at first was that they didn't like green hair because they preferred realistic colours, but I do realise that doesn't make much sense when you consider Cherche. Now imagine someone with pink hair claiming to be Marth.

I think I remember reading that the artists wanted to go for a slightly more realistic approach. But screw that, my avatar has green hair.

I think Tharja is a little OOC too, in her mum/kid support with Morgan. Why is it that she places psychotic curses on Noire, but cares when Morgan's abusing herself?

There is only one thing that really disappoints me about Spotpass, and it's that Joshua isn't available (so I created him as an extra Avatar anyway). It doesn't bother me much that the characters don't make noises or look exactly like their artwork - that's just how it was in the 2D games, and everyone was fine with that (remember Berseker Ross?). At least the hair styles match the original characters, mostly. The only character I wouldn't want to recruit is the Black Knight, because the point of him being the Black Knight is that his armour is black (duh) and you can't see his face. I think he should have appeared as Zelgius instead. On the topic of Spotpass, I beat and recruited Jaffar today and he is amazing. Lethality and Galeforce on the same guy. Somebody stop him, he's going to break my story mode.

Yeah...I did not receive an e-mail from the staffing team. So I'm thinking of just staying at home to play through my new game :P

So the delivery guy arrived about an hour after my last post. I've been playing it non-stop since on Hard Classic. Chrom and Sumia got married only an instant before I'm now just about to start Chapter 7. Also, my first level-up in the game was an all-stats-up on Robin. Lucky me!

GAHHHH WHERE THE HELL IS THE DELIVERY MAN I really need to get a bigger SD card so I can just download my games the second they're out.

...People have their games early...and I am not one of those people. I guess...I can wait one more day. ... I'm gonna go and listen to this song while sobbing.

If a new type can bring more balance to the current match-up chart, loads of new moves, maybe a new status effect, and new inspiration for Pokémon designs, then I'm all for it. The only potential problem I see is that it would screw up the Hidden Powers of Pokémon transferred from older games...but that can be easily averted: they can make a new way for Hidden Power to be calculated instead of by IVs. Personally, I think IVs should be scrapped anyway. All they do is encourage hacking.

No way I'm having only males at the beach. Forget that.

Re-imagining? I think it's more of a sequel. Takes place in the same game-world, but has different dungeons and a new story.

I've pre-ordered from Amazon UK with one-day delivery, so if I don't have Awakening by Friday I can complain and attempt to get my money back. Does Amazon not offer that in other regions?

'Robin' allows for differentiation between him and Kris. Also, I tend to give characters their default names anyway.
