Pineapple on Pizza: Yes or no?
Christactics replied to DarkDestr0yer61's topic in Far from the Forest...
We are not starting this no pineapples on my pizza -
I think I see what you were going for, but aside from certain seemingly useless support conversation changes, I didn't mind the localization of FE Fates, so I'm in for the FE Switch train. Censorization and changes made in localized versions usually have their reasons, such as Corrin supposedly spiking Soleil's drink, Soleil going through a 'phase', etc. that wouldn't simply work out for the consumers in different countries and can only be culturally accepted in Japan or some other countries.

What are your favorite gaming genres? Least favorite?
Christactics replied to Ronnie's topic in General Gaming
Favorites: JRPG, VN, Bullet Hell, FPS (unless it's one of those ones that give me nausea) Least Favorites: "Educational" Games (did anyone even mention this before), puzzle (except for Prof. Layton series), racing, most fighting games, most platformers -
Really depends on which game it is. The creator might want to mix in fantasy aspects into it, and that already makes the game historically incorrect. Sometimes certain games will preferably have correct historical facts. Which game are we talking about, really? Lets not talk about Fate. Florence Nightingale the Berserker

Virtual Console titles you would like to see on Switch
Christactics replied to Sentacotus's topic in General Gaming
English Virtual Console releases of older Fire Emblem series. I'll definitely get it, and I believe it will appeal to newer fans as well. -
Miitomo will be shut down on May 9th, 2018
Christactics replied to King Marth 64's topic in General Gaming
I never really used both of them but I loved seeing those memes on splatoon, me being a living dank meme and all. miss you, miiverse :/ I don't care much for miitomo though -
I can't even start to properly farm and ascend before I have a 5* unit. My 4*s are pretty much trash statement brought to you by gacha salt.

All the villagers have realistic hair colors
Christactics replied to Dragoncat's topic in General Fire Emblem
I think someone already mentioned it, but it's probably just because that way the more important characters stand out. Happens all the time in the animes I watch. -
choose your legends Choose your legends 2 predictions
Christactics replied to Jonahtron's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
I place my bet on Tharja and Camilla, as much as I dislike them. I don't think Chrom will make it, honestly. Maybe Hector? I honestly have no idea for the male selection, but probably those who scored high last round. (how about we vote for f.robin and soleil) -
Will they add FE16 characters in just before it gets released?
Christactics replied to Corrobin's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
That'll get me to spam my orbs :) -
what u DONT want to see in FE Switch
Christactics replied to Pegasus Knight's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Ah, it's time for this again, isn't it? Fanservice/the-fates-crap. Just no. I don't think I need to explain that. Clones. No need to explain that one either i believe. 2nd gen. Unless they are completely necessary for the story, no. Juggling multiple unnecessary arcs. Looking at you, Awakening. The Valm campaign was pretty much pointless. They could've connected Plegia arc and Grima arc altogether. And I just hope they have an actually good story and learn from how Fates went down. -
I first saw the left one as Lissa, but it would make sense if it was Peri? I honestly have my doubts for Tharja and Robin... maybe chrom. Probably no new character will be added to Heroes through this, if there will be Morgan then I'm expecting a separate banner with the Awakening children. I think I might skip this one unless they have really good designs? I'm starting to wonder if I should have not summoned my 2 Siegbert with 80+ orbs. I should have not.
-
No, please not Tharja... I already had too much of her, I don't need any more. I guess it really can't be helped though, she's really popular for some reason. Both of them don't really appeal to me, so I'll probably just summon a few times and probably save up for other banners. I'll just wait for the other 2 characters.

If the writing was better, It's perhaps not an exaggeration to even say that it could have been one of the best FE titles. I actually didn't mind the second gens being in Fates, but clones were too big of a stretch. Also notable that whichever one you pick, you get a pretty similar experience (excluding revelation). Fates and Corrin were just victims of failed writing. It was also sad to know that the amount of fanservice increased so much, as one of the reason why I enjoyed Awakening (the first game in the series I played) was because of its minimal fanservice, unlike many JRPG titles. Agreed. I always thought of their behavior as a sort of coping mechanism to deal with the living hell they had to endure.

I can't say anything about Roy, Ike, and Sigurd as I never played any of the games where they come out, but I can say something about Corrin and Lucina. I agree that Corrin is not the best lords out there and yes, everybody kisses their butt all the time, but the thing is, they were intended to be weak because they didn't know anything about reality outside the castle (if you are saying weak unit-wise, I never thought they were a bad unit and had no trouble using them.) I don't understand how Corrin can be described as bland and having no resolve. As far as I know about the other lords of the franchise, Corrin is one of the most distinguished lord in the series, far from being bland. They are unlike the other lords. They are naive, emotionally weak, and somewhat childish. Also, their determination is what really drives the plot forward, so you can't really say that they have no resolve. Corrin will definitely make a kind but absolutely terrible leader of a country though. They might not be good lord-wise, but when it comes to personality, they are pretty interesting. You also mentioned that Lucina is extremely bland. But thinking about what kind of life she had, it really is hard for a person to be cheery. It is understandable that her surrounding and what she had to go though formed her personality as what you might perceive as 'bland' and rather a bit stoic. However, she has her own quirks too, showing that she isn't completely a boring, serious person. Honestly seems like quite a few people don't take the time to actually analyze Corrin and decide to immediately ride the Bandwagon of Corrin Hate just because they can be shown as annoying. Think about it. They are actually a (again) very interesting character.

Ones I have yet to summon: Bridelia, Hector, Lukas, maybe Soleil but probably not Ones that are not in Heroes yet: Python, other morph types but mostly Keaton

Would You Buy Lego Fire Emblem Sets?
Christactics replied to Von Ithipathachai's topic in General Fire Emblem
Eh... nope. I stopped caring for Lego when they started to release Lego Minecraft and all the simple moneymaking fandom series. Still some good challenging sets out there releasing, but the majority I see in local stores are disappointing. I'd certainly buy some of the Nanoblock series if they made some for the characters like how they did with Pokémon. I have some of the Pokémon series, and they serve as a pretty nice decoration. -
Why is it that Fire Emblem has more male fans?
Christactics replied to Christactics's topic in General Fire Emblem
Didn't know about that statistic! now I'm curious about something else- Why would certain genres of games appeal more to a certain majority of the gender? -

Christactics replied to Christactics's topic in General Fire Emblem
Agreeable point. Though I've never encountered such problem on the internet (or genral games) because of my gender, I've seen others being harassed. -

Christactics replied to Christactics's topic in General Fire Emblem
No, actually. It was that I saw quite a few female gamers state that they did not enjoy the JRPG genre, although I guess they just happened to be female.
