  1. Some of you guys really need some RL instead of getting all the EXP, Ascension Materials and Fous. To discuss something more or less controversial, I made myself a 'Friend Points f2P Tier List' for FGO based on my experiences and theorycrafting on the US version. That means no Strengthening Quests are included for now and it is limited up to 3* Servants (which are more or less accessible for everyone without using Saint Quartz). I want to share this one since a lot of beginners, who are new to Fate, don't have real guidance. In general FGO is kind enough to allow you to pick your favorites and be able to clear the content without much difficulty. However without any roots to the franchise it's obviously better to choose Servants that allow you to go through the game more smoothly and bond with your Servants that way. So anyways, here's the list and have fun scratching your head off from my twisted logic:
  2. I mean with Georgios Siegfried is pretty good.
  3. Thing is, Robin Hood and Cu are good because they can do their job regardless of the team, they are in. Cu is simple; slap him at the last spot and let him solo whatever is left. Robin Hood obviously works well in Arts teams due to their ability to quickly recharge his NPs ... or just slap him in any team with Kaleidoscope and let him snipe a boss with Yew Bow (I don't think he needs the Arts Boost from Tamamo or Mozart to deal game-ending damage). If he lacked something in his current kit (like the ability to poison) he would be definetly fall off in favor because of the added inflexibility. He has nothing to offer outside of his NP after all (bad stats, bread&butter skills). So it is either being really good in one job without help or being able to add a lot of things in a decent manner. David right now is just decent as a Support, which makes him slightly inferior to Cu or Robin. But I would attribute that to his awful deck, otherwise he would be at least on par with them.
  4. If David got another Buster card instead of Arts, he could Buster Brave Chain with his Evasion-Ignoring NP which would be pretty absurd for a Support-oriented Servant. To be able to dish out more than respectable damage with the ability to grant party-wide evasion and Charisma buff would make him always a contender to be in any team like Cu. Servants like Robin Hood or Cu in comparision are self-centered compared to this hypothetical David and focus more on their own damage/survivalability. They don't have anything to contribute to the team aside from that while this David could be both a DD and Support at a decent level. Of course the current David is offensively screwed due to this mismatched deck which makes him more valuable as a Support due to having the 3 Arts cards to create more Arts chain in a team for NP build up and his buffs. EDIT: Also stats-wise David is pretty well optimized. He has the 2nd highest Atk of any 3* Servant (Nr.1 is Lu Bu) and pays it for relatively low HP which isn't that bad with his kit in mind.
  5. Well, they are technically farmable in Okeanos but the drop late is agonizingly low. There will be a free quest in a later story chapter that has much better rates but that will take a long time. The Rider Node in GudaGuda seems to have a good drop rate as well (I got 3 out of 5 runs). But considering the limited time I wouldn't consider that as a feasible source anymore. EDIT: And yes, David is an awesome Support Servant. If he didn't have such a mismatched deck (his NP is Buster and he has 3 Arts cards) he would be the best 3*.
  6. You know you're getting paranoid if you're re-issueing your Transfer Code just because you pulled your 1st SSR. Spend 2 more apples to get all the Horseshoes todays, putting me at 5 spent apples for this event. Still have 40 apples in total for Christmas. The rest of the AP goes for Crystal farming. Btw. sent out some friend requests based on @Sire's list (which could be added to the OP for accesibility). Current Support lead is Emiya with Guda-O, name is still Ren.
  7. Small PSA: Don't forget to buy the event bags from the Mana Prism shop. Even if you save up for Mona Lisa, 160 Prisms for 2x each Ascension item is a huge bargain and 16 Prisms for 2 Tickets + Golden Apples + other stuff is one of the best investments one can make.
  8. Aside from EXP and Fou cards that I didn't bother to grind for, I'm missing: - 14x Meteor Horseshoes - All Homunculus Babies (not important) - All Forbidden Pages (not important) - 16x Octuplet Crystals - 19x Void's Dust We still have today and tomorrow, so I think I might get the Horseshoes in time.
  9. I got my first SSR Servant, woo! This was the 2nd 10-Pull. The first one gave me a Black Grail (first 5* pulled CE btw.) and 3! Robin Hoods for NP merges, lol. However, I will pull a third time if I reach 30 SQ again since I want Fergus as my 3* Saber.
  10. Actually one of the best welfare Servants is a Rider. A really cool and golden Rider.
  11. I don't think I will attempt the final node without Command Seals. Even if I take a max. Gilgamesh for Support my own Servants are probably too weak (highest is 3rd Ascension Herc at 60). Aside from Emiya and Kiyohime I don't have any leveled AoE-NPs either.
  12. Nobunaga dropped another copy of Guda-O. Goddamnit, give me your 10-Hiragumo drop instead! You, too, Dragon! I don't need that many Reverse Scales. Cleared the shop of Claws and Hearts. Used 3 Apples so far. But I still have to buy the 14x Eternal Gears and 14x Meteor Horseshoes (skipping Homunculus Babies since I have enough for Hassan and don't need them anymore for ascensions). If I can spare the apples, I want to farm the remaining Crystals and Dust from the shop since I am now aware just how many and how much my Servants need from both (35 Octuplet Crystals and 56 Void's Dust for Ascensions to be precise). Fun fact: I'm now at a point that I can drop any specific HP setup; the next Golden Quest would give me enough to reach the 1.5 mio mark. That was much easier than I expected.
  13. He suffers from pretty low attack, however (like he is pretty much next after Diarmuid in terms of attack). Though I see what you mean now. I guess being something else instead of being a much worse Cu accounts to something. My condolences. Well, time to wip out the old Paypal account and load some money on there.
  14. @Archer of Red While I get your point, I don't understand how Hector or Romulus are better than him (which is the whole reason why I consider Diarmuid to be mediocrity of Lancers). Especially the former since he shares nearly the same problem with him while having an AoE NP instead which makes his damage output even worse. General question: Has anyone experience with buying Quartz from EU? In the shop it is converted in € but the payment itself seems to be in Dollars. I don't know if I have to use Paypal or could just use Gift cards. The latter does not to work if you need to exchange currencies, so I'm curious how this works with FGO.
  15. Compared to what we have now: - Benkei: Lol, nope. The man is pretty terrible. - Leonidas: Tank for Buster team. Gets even better in the future. - Romulus: Meh. Imperial Privilege is a thing but that alone won't really push him enough. Also held back by having an AoE NP. - Hector: He has not even a single useful skill (Tactics, lol). His NP is decent for an AoE but that alone isn't going to save him. - Prototype Cu: Obviously better and has a much more defined niche as a beast killer. - Cu: God of 3* Servants. Diarmuid falls in there as mediocre, so somewhat useable. His skill set is mediocre, having an evade and Crit star generation the latter good to have on a Quick-based Servant. Love Spot is pretty terrible, I wouldn't make that his focus though. His NP has an upgrade which puts him at decent damage. Buff removal is pretty cool but it isn't at the level of usefulness that is Rule Breaker since it isn't spammable. Curse is irrelevant. So while he doesn't even come close to the Cus and Leonidas in their niche, he still better compared to the rest because he at least has some damage and star generation behind him. That makes him imo better than Romulus and Hector.
  16. Even if they aren't that many good gold Lancers around (pretty much Scathach and Karna), the class is still very decent because of the lower rarity Servant being really good. Diarmuid isn't totally bad and pretty useable 3* Servant at least until the two other 3* Lancer join the pool (which will take a lot of time). Riders though ... poor Riders.
  17. Gilles just dropped the 5th Guda-O. Potential 300 Hiragumos saved. I hope I can get either Zhuge Liang or Tamamo on the paid gacha. Everyone else is pretty much a no-go, especially Altera or Orion. To make it a tier list: Good: - Zhuge Liang - Tamamo no Mae Okay: - Okita Souji - Jeanne D'Arc Meh: - Artoria Pendragon - Drake - Vlad III NO: - Altera - Orion
  18. Won't have more than 90 SQ by the time the banner hits. I'm going to be really salty. No, only the Support carries the CE. I also had a good share of drops that aren't Hiragumos (like Gilles gave me a freaking monument instead of his Hiragumo drop which gives the most).
  19. Yikes. Without spending Apples so far, today's progression brought me to: - Usual Stuff - 4x Hearts - 5x Claws - 4x Gears - 6x Horseshoes - 1.014.430 HP (got the last Nobunaga just now) However I'm spending 1-2 apples now to farm the event stuff for gold EXP cards and Octuplet Twin Crystals for Cu. I'm not going to attempt the Archer quest with a Lvl. 40 2nd Ascension Cu. EDIT: @Archer of Red @MrSmokestack Well, this happened. - Scathach banner with a rotation of Scathach, Gilgamesh and Kintoki as SSR focus - Mona Lisa CE will be released - Guaranteed SSR pull with paid Quartz; it includes:
  20. I am at 900.950 after today's Golden Quest, so ... I think you're doing just normal. ... How many apples did you throw away?
  21. Why are you looking at growths? Lyn starts in her mode with 16 HP, 2 Def and 0 Res. Kent and Sain have 20/5 and 19/6 respectively at the same level. There's a gap, no? Her base is already bad and her growths are abyssmal. Sain has the same growth but there is that lead which makes a huge difference coupled with his ability to enforce WTA. Raven has 29 HP and 6 Def at base in HHM. That let's him survive more than 2 hits in some occasions. Promotion to Hero gives him Axes which will give him WTA against 80% of the enemies, including those pesky wyverns. Which is why Raven's entire useability is dependent on how fast one can rush his promotion. The fact that you cannot see these difference makes your entire claim questionable. But seeing your statement about Marcus confirms that you aren't capable of holding these kind of discussions in the first place.
  22. Some people really have flawed views on Gacha progression. These amount of Special banners isn't anything uncommon and they kinda need to do that to make whales excessively pull. Not that I care too much since I don't invest in time-limited banners. The only time I ever pulled from there was for Azura/Inigo and that only because I wanted a Green Dancer. The only banner that seemed a bit strange was Performing Arts which nobody could have guessed that one. In fact the Halloween Banner should have been there instead. The 2nd Summer banner was maybe a bit excessive since not a lot of these units were that great (Corrin, Tiki, Elise and Gaius/Frederick) would have done the job more than enough. All the other special banners were justified (Spring, Summer, Halloween & Wedding)
  23. The Phantom is ... unimpressive. No, scratch that, he is awful. The man even fails to be supported by the best support in the game which is telling a lot. Caster Gilles is a "Story" Servant like Caster Cu. They can only be pulled from the Story gacha which is the permanent pool. On Rate-up or Special banners you can never pull him in that pool, so you will have to spend Quartz on the Story pool and pray that you get him fast enough (which usually doesn't happen). So if you ever have the luck to pull him, never sent him away (like I did with him and Caster Cu; they're gone forever).
  24. She is aggresively average; until her Mani Katti breaks which makes her borderline unuseable later. For one Lyn has really bad durability and faces a lot of triangle disadvantage; She will not be able to take more than 2 hits in HHM any given time which gets worse once Wyvern are introduced (exception is that defend chapter before Living Legend which has Reaver weapons). In Bern she will run into the risk of getting killed in one hit by Steel Lance Wyvern, unless any sort of investment is used to patch that up. Even then she simply has not the stats to kill them reliably. It doesn't help that in terms of foot-locked sword units there are 2 main competitions; Guy and Raven. Both have HHM bonuses to improve their bulk and the latter gets even Hand Axes which make him very useable throughout the game. Speaking of promotions, Blade Lord is easily the worst class that requires a Heaven's Seal. Bows might seem good against these Wyverns but she sacrifices her EP. She becomes a Nomad Trooper without the horse and her Weapon Ranks need to be build up for the use of Brave Bows or even Killer Bows. That's utter garbage and not worth the investment. If one only looks at endgame potential, even Eliwood ends up more favorably than Lyn. The only real thing that makes Lyn useable is the Mani Katti and Lyn Mode to compensate her awful start in HHM. However, she is not worth the Robe investment and her growths tend to leave her vulnerable to 2HKO's. However, she has the utility to nuke away Cavaliers which can't be said about the majority of the earlygame cast. However this is a short-lived victory since only the chapter after and the Dragon's Gate have a great presence of Cavalier units to make this truly useful. So yes, Lyn is pretty bad. I don't think that Eliwood is better than her since that one needs his butt dragged around the entire game but she isn't a stellar unit.
  25. Lancer node is really easy to farm. A high-level Support Saber can murder the entire quest by itself. Benkei is a push-over compared to Drake. Getting 20 Hiragumos (+5 with the Event CE) is a pretty nice gain, too. EDIT: What's everyone progress so far? Have 606,610 HNP which makes me reach 1.5 mio points comfortably. The Golden Quests alone are going to give me ~800k points with my current point setup (+410%) and the rest will be easily farmed within the next week while doing 40 AP quests. Hiragumos are a different story though. Today I will be able to get the last Skull, so my purchases are: - 1x Guda-O CE - 2x Golden Skull - 3x Claw of Chaos = 820 Hiragumos What's left will require 2380 Hiragumos, 2680 if I want to LB Guda-O. - 10x Hearts - 17x Claws - 20x Horseshoes - 20x Gears Don't need Homunculus because of Halloween. Today's Lancer Quest gives out 25 Hiragumos (with Drop CE) at best so that's around 95 runs I have yet to complete. I know that Caster and Archer ones will have more drops but I don't have confidence to clear them reliably. Cu is stuck at ~45 and Ushi still waits for her 3rd Ascension. This will require me to spend Apples if I want the rare stuff. I also skipped the silver shop after getting the Skull and Guda-O even though I wanted the Dust and Crystals.
