  1. And yet they broke that trust now with Ayra's inclusion. Pretty sure the current backlash means that they screwed up pretty badly. My point is that they could have handled the entire thing much better and therefore not stir up the wrath of their fanbase. I feel like that they tried to include 1 Hero too many and had to adjust it in a way that could only end up in harsh criticism (like the TT bonus roster was also pretty bad). Seliph being relevant in the TT story did nothing short to amuse me with the whole situation in mind.
  2. So? IS didn't promise that they have to drop at least 1 character into the 4* pool. It's not like they can just break trends that people make up based on their past experiences (which, again, happened with the SS banner).
  3. IS really doesn't seem to care about that much since they pulled the same stunt on the Sacred Stones banner (where only Seth dropped). People whined about it but it wasn't this levels of bad where in almost every platform entire groups complain about IS' move.
  4. I do agree on the fact that Kiyohime isn't good for the harder content. In fact no Servant with an AoE NP is good for these kind of stuff (unless you're 5* then your stats carry you) and her kit itself doesn't help in that part. Lu Bu is of course better for these kind of things. But she is still a 3* that can make the grinding just a bit faster and doesn't really require much investment. Grinding itself is not difficult sure, but the main problem is still time and patience wich are probably more limited depending on the person. That makes her the best Servant for grinding with Kaleidoscope/Imaginary Element compared to other alternatives. In fact, everybody should have her (she is the Orleans reward), so if one has EXP cards there is an investment one can do.
  5. Probably the best one at 3* or lower, especially after her Strengthening Quest which gives a Mana Burst for her NP. She is also cost-efficient, requiring not that many rare items until her final ascension (4 Reverse scales and 16 Dragon Fangs, RIP). He actually has the 2nd highest Atk of all 3* or lower Servants. Only Lu Bu has higher attack. Yeah, if his NP was Arts he would be kinda insane. But now he has to share his pain with Emiya for having a really awful deck (why the *** is UBW Buster, not Arts?). Well, that can be farmed of the Guda Guda event (with relative ease even). Crystals are relatively common in Okeanos and the other 3 rare items are often offered in Event shops. The bigger problem is his absurd cost for Skills. 6 Hearts, 8 Reverse Scales, 12 Octuplet Twin Crystals and 60! Hero's Proof for leveling up his skills from 1 to 10.
  6. Pretty sure they could have avoided the massive backlash in that situation if they swapped Ayra and Tailtiu. But they didn't.
  7. One thing they should do is to adjust the current weapon/skill roster. It's kinda a mess and they could make some options more appealing. We all know what fiasko Slaying Weapons caused and how they make Killing Weapons obselete. I don't see a reason why IS shouldn't replace them entirely for their better variant or at least enable them to be upgraded as such for the units that are stuck with these weapons (Iron -> Steel -> Killing > Slayer). Units like Lukas or Sheena are entirely reliant on getting Nephenee and Amelia respectively which is just wrong for a weapon that shares the same effect with just an MT bonus. That is not good practice at all. This also applies for Silver and Anti-Armor weapons. Anti-Rider weapons have 14 MT while Anti-Armor are stuck with 12 which really doesn't make that much sense. Silver Weapons could also use a slight adjustment since they also became obselete with the introduction of Slaying weapons. They weren't great either but there was at the least the argument of having +4 MT. Now the difference is 1 measily point which is absurd. Making them at least 16 MT so they could be legendary without effects would make them somewhat less terrible. Speaking of legendary weapons, buffing all the past weapons with their Rank 3 effect would be a start to equalize them with the newer ones. For now most of the 2nd effects are purely stat-boosts which aren't that significant (as it equals to a +3 BST boost for that hero). But for the all primary effects all Legendary should have a Rank 3 effect, not a toned down one. The entire Astra line could be adjusted to Regnal Astra's effect; make the Special scale with Spd, not with the Atk vaue. Astra can be the 4-charge Special while Glimmer has now a 3-charge cooldown. That would make the line worth a damn. Sol and Noontime should receive a significant buff to their multiplier. Make it so that Sol heals 80% of the dealt damage, while Noontime 50%. It wouldn't make them relevant to Arena stuff but it would make them more viable as the default special on a Hero. Same goes for Aegis and Pavise. Defensive Specials are rarely used and the only Skill that supports them is exclusive to Saber. Aegis or Pavise should block the entire damage (100% block) for their high cooldown, while Escutscheon and Sacred Cowl only reduce the damage by 50% so they can still be used with Shield Pulse.
  8. Updated my list. With the sad knowledge that I cannot pass Wrath on Cavalier units, pulling another Nephenne is not something I would actively pursue anymore. From the Gauntlet banner I got Lachesis (who probably came because I beheaded Eldigan for Fury) and Athena (+Spd, -Res; pretty damn good if you ask me). This means only Kagero is missing from Colorless Hell. Since I'm trying to pull for Takumi, maybe she will show herself along the line. On the other hand since Tailtiu is demoted she is another 4* for the collection and I don't have a Blueblade mage yet. Seems like I want to pull for Blue now. and my hunt for Hinatas in Crimson Hell continues
  9. What I don't have a problem with: - She is not a free unit: I don't think people should really expect that IS is giving away free units all the time (even if she was in the trailer). The moment, we saw her skills and Arden, it should have made people think about her inclusion. Yes, there is Clive, who was similarly introduced and became a TT unit but this isn't something I would see as a clear sign from IS for a free unit. - Strength: Ayra isn't really power creep in the overall sense. She still dies to Reinhardt and her offensive doesn't introduce new trends either. She still dies to bulky Blues, -blade mages or other common threats in the Arena. There is nothing meta-defining about her to make it a problem. What I have problems with: - She was in a separate banner with older units: Even with the argument that they need to outsource 1 unit for the TT banner Tailtiu would have been the far better choice (no personal weapon, Blue, not as 'exciting' overall). She has to share her spot with Eldigan and it would have been more sensible to make her share the spot with Sigurd. There was literally to no good reason besides €€€ to separate her from the Holy War banner. - Personal Weapon & BST bonus: While I say she isn't a problem as a unit I still see no reason to give Ayra this kind of treatment. She might be Genealogy's most favorite female character but there are tons of other popular characters before her. Why does Ayra's Sword have the same stats like a legendary weapon if other named weapons like Berkut's Lance or Legion's Axe don't have that? This makes zero sense and breaks more than 1 trend that IS has followed.
  10. Hm, I don't have Karel or Takumi so they are out. Katarina is the one I will probably support since she is the rather obscure compared to most of the other participants and grilling Armors with a -Blade mage is far more relaxing compared to doing it the other way around. Actually the females are quite a bit less popular than the males. ID: 9398786336 Right now I have Seth as my lead but I'll switch to one of my competent greens or colorless. You can pick between: - Nino or Soren (-blade mage) - Julia (+3 Merge) - Cecilia with Raven+TA+Bowbreaker - Nohr!Azura - Hector with Panic Ploy 3 - Innes with Double Ploy (Def, Atk) - Vanilla Brave Lyn I will probably start with Nino if nobody has requests.
  11. Added: - Sanaki (+Def -Hp) - Arden (Neutral) - Laslow [Sacrificed] - Elincia (2) (+Atk, -Spd) - Eldgian (+Res, -Atk) - Seth (+Spd, -Res)
  12. Welp, GudaGuda at the 8th of November. It's time to farm EXP cards for Nobu.
  13. I want to hear something about 2 Servants. One would be Suzuka Gozen. If I'm not wrong JP had a 4* giveaway which included her with other recent 4*s (notably Lancelot and Gawain). Does she an advantage over those two or is she strictly inferior to them? The 2nd one is more or less general; which are best budget AoE-NP wielders? Medusa and Kiyohime are widely mentioned but are there others? I kinda want to train Alexander (since I will never pull Iskandar) but he is inferior to them, isn't he? How does his damage scale compared to Medusa?
  14. Not going to list the entirety of Judgral since I didn't play these games. I don't have too much experience with Mystery of the Emblem to really give an opinion about it but I find its general tone of a grey conflict quite pleasing. From Worst-to-Best: Fates Revelations: Utter trainweck through and through. They couldn't even do the cliche plot of having a villain, that is responsible for everything bad happening, right. Fates Conquest: The only reason why this is above Revelations is its premise of being on the 'bad' side (so playing Camus pretty much). Otherwise it falls right in there with Revelations in one of the worst video game plots ever. I haven't seen such disrespect for its characters in an RPG. Awakening: Ok, as much as I hate Awakening as a game, its first 1/3 of the story is quite solid. There it little to critize there, it's told well and leaves some lasting impact. However the entirety of the Time Travel mechanic, that relies so much on that one betrayal scene, screws over the rest of the game hard. Doesn't help that half of the game is filled with that pointless Valm Arc and then throws Chrom out of the window to make Robin the main character. It had the potential to be much better. Radiant Dawn: Part 1 is okay and Part 2 is impressive despite its short length. Part 3 has a good concept and the conflict between Laguz vs Begnion is one of the grandest conflicts in FE. But was handled terribly at the 2nd half with the entire Blood Pact nonsense with Daein. It falls in the same pit as Conquest. They could have given Daein proper reasons to fight. I don't mind that Ike and his GMs have the spotlight but they could either stick with that or share it properly between the 2 sides. Then following it up with the terrible, terrible Part 4 and you have a story that starts off strong but drops the ball at the later stages. It kinda de-values some of the characters as well (esp. the Black Knight). Blazing Blade: The story doesn't make any sense. It's supposed to be the prequel to Binding Blade, but it tramples almost on everything that it established there and makes a lot of convenient plot devices to erase its tracks for its sequel (hey, Marcus, I'm pretty sure you were in Arcadia. Apparently it wasn't important to tell us that, huh?!) etc. If you don't know about the Binding Blade the entirety of Etruria is never explored properly even though a good amount of the cast comes from there. That doesn't mean it doesn't have its good points. It's character-driven and you have some memorable moments there. But the huge disconnect with its sequel leaves a bad aftertaste. Fates Birthright: Now because this is still part of Fates it is ultimately flawed in many ways. However, it's the most coherent storyline of the 3 and doesn't rely on the other 2 for the complete picture. Ryoma playing his Bond games is stupid but in general this comes quite close to a standard FE story when it comes to newer entries and that's fine by me. There are some genuine good moments in Birthright and the characters are more believeable overall. Shadows of Valentia: Pretty interesting story with some flawed ideas like Rudolf's plan and Celica being even more naive than Eirika (if that was even possible). Alm is pretty much the Mary Sue of Lords but there are still enjoyable and genuinely intriguing plot moments in Valentia that can be appreciated and it has solid themes to think about. Sacred Stones: Despite lacking in proper world building (but not Fates-level of bad) its characters, especially the villains, make it up for it. It is more character-driven and while it lacks an interesting punch to its overall conflict it is still enjoyable. If nothing else, it can be boring but not flawed like the previously mentioned titles. Binding Blade: Pretty good plot. It's told in a grand scheme with plenty of world building, political schemes and a villain that isn't just 'I am an evil sorcerer that will destroy the world'. It does borrow some elements from Shadow Dragon which it is based off (as FE6 is a re-telling of Shadow Dragon) but it is still one of the most solid plots in Fire Emblem. Path of Radiance: Like Binding Blade it has excellent world building and the general themes of racism and morality are very well told. Ashnard takes a page of Zephiel of being not a villain that is evil for the sake of evil and does a good job of making his point. Even though the Begnion Arc and the rest of the game are quite different (as one is a continent-wide conflict, the other slavery within a country) they don't deviate that much from the core values the story tries to convey, making it still feel coherent enough. Overall, takes my vote for the best plot in Fire Emblem.
  15. Sent you a request. Name is Ren with Heracles as lead. Grails in general are for your favorite Servants. There is no real better or worse in that besides giving them slightly higher stats after maxing out. Sure 3* or below aren't going to match 4* or even 5* in stats but that's not the important part about grailing. If anything common Servants get more benefit of Grails than those of higher rarity. Georgios would get 5 extra levels for each Grail while a 5* only gets 2. Unless you plan for grailing to 100, there is no real shame in investing grails for lower rarity servants.
  16. The melee part I have known but I apparently didn't read the small part about food units. Whoops. Good thing I didn't draw a Nephenee to sacrifice (now I can offer one to regular Lyn).
  17. Behold, the true Silver Knight with his proper weapon. Yes, I sacrificed a 5*'d Laslow and my 1st Eldigan for this. And yes, he will be my Sword Cavalier in my Cavalier line-up. To the bench with you, Xander! Before the release of Brash Assault I was considering Wrath for his B slot but for now this will do. Only need the coins to bring the Seal to max. Rank.
  18. It's the 1st of November, what do I get? 3 Red Orbs, that's a good start. *opens* Adult Tiki. If I had the feathers I could make a +10 4* Adult Tiki and I already trained one with perfect IVs. Raigh. Go away, brat. You're useless as fodder and I don't need another red mage in my roster (Celica, Katarina and Leo). An Eldigan. My 1st Eldigan. An Eldigan that I used as Fury fodder. Why? He was +Res/-Atk. Any other combination would have been fine to keep but this is the worst. I already have enough Sword Cavaliers (Xander for DC, Luke for Brave Sword, my favorite Paladin) and don't really care about FE4, so ... no regrets. And this concludes my pulls from the Tempest Trial banner. Got 2 5*-Stars (Elincia, Eldigan) for relatively little investment, pretty good. Still need 5 more Hinatas though.
  19. Just tried the encore mission with @MrSmokestack's Saber Alter. It was much easier than I thought. One Excalibur and first wave was killed in one swoop (though I used her Mana Burst and the Instant cast). Liz herself did little to the team of Hans, Mash and Saber Alter. I only lost Mash because she was critted twice by Elizabeth in a single round. But Heracles finally put in her place with a Buster Chain Nine Lives. Another Crystallized Lore get. But the 90 AP spot? Nope. My strongest Servant is David at Level 60 and even my budget Arts Team (Emiya, Np 5 Hans, Support) gets killed by the Medea stage due to her spamming Rule Breaker. A pity but what can I do?
  20. You mean Leonidas, right? Got my 6 summoning tickets ... and nothing. Gilles, 3* CE, Alexander, 3* CE, 3* CE, Jing Ke Well, time to hoard SQ until Scathach banner comes. I want pretty much everything from there minus Diarmud so better get saving. Still have no pulled 5*, be it CE or Servant.
  21. There is no really good Lancer besides Cu, at least at the moment. Not that's a bad thing considering he is pretty much the only one you need. Otherwise you have to wait for certain 5* Servants or something much later. Has Hans reached NP level 5? If not then he is not that great to use because his NP is chance-based. At max. Lvl he gets a 80% chance for his buffs which is reliable enough. Alexander and Medusa are pretty similar in a sense that they have both AoE-based NPs, an unreliable stun ability and the same deck. Alexander has Charisma and a stronger NP after his interlude while Medusa has a higher attack buff for herself, stronger critical damge and gets a nifty skill later down the line. They are both serviceable but Medusa is slightly better. Kiyohime is a good farming Servant due to her AoE NP + being a Berserker. Just don't expect her to be good against Servants or single enemies since she has really low Atk. Another good Berserker is Lu Bu if you should get him. Will take a while until we get there.
  22. Caesar is the only notable 3* Saber. Gilles is ... bad. Both aren't that much stronger than d'Eon though. Otherwise most of the Sabers are 4* or higher and it doesn't get better since most new Saber tend to fall in the same category. There will be a good offensive 3* Saber when Scathach arrives but before that you're probably out of luck. You ... ! Tamano is one of the best Supports in the game. She shines in Arts team. Since you have Robin Hood you only need to find someone who has an Arts-based deck and you have a really good team. Hans Christian Andersen would fall right in there with his buffs. Or if you ever get Vlad he would be a good one, too since Tamamo makes him borderline broken. It's called GudaGuda. There is currently a manga running on their website. It will probably around mid of November, I think? It's a really good event for ascension items and features most of the stuff that isn't available through farming.
  23. Again what Level is Lowen supposed to have? I can see 1-2 Level lead but more is a lot more than he can ask for. Javelin access until 13x is not great because there are a lot of Brigands making them quite unreliable. Unless you are Marcus with a Hand Axe ranged combat doesn't shine until much later because they don't double with these weapons. Enemies in the midgame have existent Spd and are only so slow later due to Steel weapons. Lowen doesn't kill anything significant in the earlygame that isn't soldiers (maybe 1-2 archer that have the lower Spd). He has trouble to kill something in 1 round which makes it that much harder for him to contribute effectively. He is not the best he is just above-average. Oh right we're talking about EHM. Woops. The problem is (again) the availability of that thing. There is no real reason to take along a Level 1 Paladin with you at that point, even in EHM. I saw it. You pretty much posted their base stats which is saying nothing. You're not taking account growths or certain benchmarks. 30% are falling more quickly than you realize even if Lowen has a ~3 Level lead. That's why Lowen's good base stats matter to begin with. Lowen at Level 5 (Kent's base Level) has ~26 HP, 8 Str, 8 Spd and 8 Def (Skl, Luk, Res are not that important for this discussion). He reaches the same offensive stat spread as Kent at the same Level but wins in Hp and Def. But if you go say with Level 7~8 due to his low growths he doesn't get more than having +1 point in each stat (ofc way more in Hp). That difference will be quickly forgotten once Sain or Kent reach the same level and it isn't unrealistic to make them catch up to Lowen's lead. The durability is a thing but it's better to kill something reliably then withstanding punishment. The two don't even have that bad durability either. If you promote Lowen first then the 3rd Cavalier is lagging behind no matter what because he lacks the early promotion. Having a not promoted unit for a majority of the game is nothing more than a drag. This goes beyond having that additional crest in EHM. When you get to Chapter 24 and afterwards and Lowen falls behind then you can't just use Kent over him. Yes, it's an exaggeration but they showcase a similar problem. Lowen vs Sain/Kent is naturally much tamer and more close in terms of power but there is still a difference. Oh well, I'm done. The TC (or other readers) need to choose their units, not me. They will know what's best for them.
  24. Which can be said the same for an early-promoted Sain or Kent. That's not a good argument since all 3 want the first Knight Crest. Guy is definetly better than Lowen during this part of the game. He can actually double and kill enemies which Lowen can't do. He has dips for his Killing Edge since nobody wants it or can't use it. Lowen has a D Rank and by the time he reaches C, the Killing Edge is probably gone. You don't have an infinite amount of them, that's the important part. After the first one, the next one is carried by the boss in Chapter 21/22. You only have the option to buy more from the Secret Shop at the penultimate chapter which is too late to consider. So 2 Knight Crests in total for 3 Cavaliers (+ a Knight you're not considering). If you use these precious items you are considering long-term use and then Lowen falls short compared to them because of his lower growths. Did you actually check the average stats for these 3? Lowen has not a significant lead with a higher level on average because of his meager growths. The difference is around ~1-2 points if Lowen is Level 7 compared to their base (with an HP lead of course). Not to mention what kind of level advantage are you imagining? Lowen isn't going to be Level 10 or higher when you reach Chapter 16/17 unless you actively feed him kills. You already used one Knight Crest so you can only promote one of them. If you're using Lowen for this kind of stuff you have wasted the Knight Crest. Lowen doesn't need to be a better ferry he needs it to be a better combat unit. Fun fact: At that point you have Isadora who has better weapon ranks and comes promoted. At this point you are guarenteed to bench one of the 3 Cavaliers (unless it's ranked where you have to cycle around anyways). So you benched two units for the sake of making one last longer for 25%. You see the problem? Also you're wrong since a promoted Lowen can actually be still useful if he has build up his Axe Rank. Even in HHM they are a ton of unpromoted enemies in the last chapters which Lowen should get rid of. Is Lowen a solid unit? Indeed he is. If you're saying that Lowen can be worth the promotion, I can agree with that. After all Paladins are never bad to have. But stating that he is better than Kent or Sain just because of his higher availability is plain wrong. In that case Will would be better than Rath which would defy common sense. Yes, without Lyn Mode the gap between those 3 is smaller but they still have an edge over him. Maybe not Kent, if one is generous, but Sain ends up quite a bit superior than Lowen due to actually kill enemies in a single round of combat. If you do such an argument you need to back them up with proper facts. Enemy stats, average growths stuff, like that. Not even in detail but just something in the general direction. SF is a great source for that so there is no real reason not to.
  25. You know that they are going to collab with Toei to include Goku right?
