  1. Top (1 being the best) 1. Awakening: Tons of content, great characters and gameplay, and finally an amazing soundtrack are just a few of the things that make this my all time favorite game. 2. Thracia 776: The main character was the only second generation character I liked in FE4, (I liked Finn as well, just I consider him a first generation character) and it felt immensely satisfying to beat the harder parts of the game. To bad it ended where it did, because I honestly would have liked to see it go up to Julius' defeat. 3. Heroes of Light and Shadow (FE12): I felt it was a great step back in the right direction (Shadow Dragon was a huge step in the wrong direction) and the return of supports like in the GBA was great as it finally gave the Archanea characters personality. Bottom (1 being the worst) 1. Sacred Stones: Pathetically easy even on hard mode, and I didn't like the characters or story. 2. Shadow Dragon: A remake of an NES game that feels like just an updated NES game. They should've done more with this remake. 3. Genealogy of the Holy War: This used to be my favorite in the series until trying to replay it I just couldn't get interested in it. To much time is wasted moving your units around (While not fighting), and it's pathetically easy for the most part. (Game breaking Holy weapon users come to mind) The only character introduced in the second generation that I liked was Leif so I felt completely unmotivated to keep anyone alive aside from Leif and Finn. I feel it could use a remake to fix what was wrong with it. (With some fine tuning, adding of supports and whatnot I feel this could be one of the best Fire Emblem games)
  2. Since no one has posted a thread like this I may as well make one, and I also think it would be kinda cool to see what other people are doing for their StreetPass teams. My StreetPass team:
  3. I was never expecting Sumia to be a fan favorite character, but man I never expected this much hate for her. Glad shes winning the poll though.
  4. Does anyone know what the renown awards for renown 3000-99999 are?
  5. Just beat Lunatic Casual, starting on Lunatic Classic. I'm dreading chapter 2 and 3.
  6. I like Chrom x Sumia, but I'm fine with people liking other pairings. EDIT: Oh wow Chrom x Sumia is actually winning on the poll. I thought it would be in last judging from all the Sumia hate I've seen around here.
  7. Characters who were permanently on my team: Avatar x Cordelia: Cordelia is my favorite female in the game, plus Severa and Morgan turned out to be stupid powerful Chrom x Sumia: I'm a sucker for the "canon" pairings. Severa x Owain: I liked their support and I found the idea of the Tsundere character getting together with the guy who acts like he's the Hero of a Greek Epic. Lucina x Inigo: Liked the support and found Lucina's strange sense of humor kind of funny. Gerome x Morgan: I liked how Morgan made masks for Gerome to use and I liked how their personalities mixed. Virion x Cherche: The shared history between the two of them (and their support) made me feel like they were best together. Gaius x Maribelle: I liked how their support covered a big part of both of their backstories and how Maribelle eventually grew to forgive Gaius for what he had done. Characters I replaced with Children Characters: Lon'qu x Lissa: I liked the dynamic between the two of them and how throughout the support Lissa was persistent about getting closer to Lon'qu Stahl x Sully: I liked their support Donnel x Olivia: I liked their support, and felt they fit for each other. (I was amused by the reference to Naesala and Leanne as well, especially how they left Naesala's chronic backstabbing disorder out of it) Characters I paired for the sole purpose of getting all of the sidequests: Ricken x Nowi: I felt the idea of pairing Nowi with anyone else was creepy. Frederick x Miriel: I like Frederick's character so I didn't want to leave him unpaired. Henry x Tharja: Wizard fight! Gregor x Panne: I like Gregor's character and didn't want to leave him unpaired. No, just when you go to recruit the children they will have the last skill both parents have equipped.
  8. I'm only about halfway through Lunatic, but I found chapters 2-3 to be the hardest so far, but then again I started buying brave weapons and killing edges from Eliwood's SpotPass team the moment it became possible. Why I felt Chapters 2-3 were the hardest? Your units are still weak because you haven't had any time to level them up via story chapters/paralogues or DLC, (skirmishes are basically impossible on Lunatic mode) meaning Frederick and maybe the Avatar or Chrom will be the only units that can't be killed in one round. BTW I find Thracia 776 easier than Lunatic mode.
  9. Does Lunatic Casual count? (I'm on chapter 14 and I'm currently recruiting the children) I'm planning on doing Lunatic Classic (Or maybe Lunatic+) after I beat Lunatic Casual.
  10. Mine were: Avatar + Cordelia Virion + Cherche Severa + Owain Lucina + Inigo Morgan + Gerome Gaius + Maribelle All of the units I paired together had a S support with each other. After Chrom got an S support with Sumia I just paired him with whoever gets recruited in a chapter or had him stand next to Lucina. (Or whoever else I wanted him to build a support with.)
  11. Donnel has 3 hurdles he needs to get over before he becomes good, and they are: 1. His abysmal starting stats and class (Reclass increases his stat considerably but you need to get him to level 10 first) 2. His E rank in Lances 3. After reclassing his E rank in Swords or Axes is an issue. If you can deal with those than Donnel usually turns out great, but on Lunatic mode it's nearly impossible unless you are on casual mode and grinding on the DLC.
  12. In the silent protagonist option I believe other characters spoke for the avatar, so they probably didn't feel like translating that.
  13. Yeah, that's something that has bothered me from FE9 and on. I'd think a Gamecube or Wii disk (For Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn) or a 3ds cartridge would have enough space to give every character a speaking role, and have the script be slightly changed if a character that would speak had died. (If it was like this, Chrom, the Avatar, Lissa, Frederick, Lucina, or anyone who retreats when defeated would say the dead character's line, just changed to be in character for the speaker)
  14. This is kind of a dumb question, but if you get two units married then kill one of them does the survivor's ending change or does it go to their default ending? I'm just wondering because during one of the many times I've had to reset because Gaius died, I saw that on Maribelle's status screen it still said Gaius was her husband.
  15. Yeah, the Lunatic mode skirmishes are horrifying, there's no way your going to be able to survive unless your team is fully maxed out.(Plus as mentioned before reeking boxes cost 4800 on hard and lunatic modes)
  16. Cordelia. Severa turned out to be better at everything than my Avatar, and Morgan was broken as per usual.
  17. Virion is my favorite character (plus his design was one of the few that didn't make me go "lolwtf" before I got used to them and it kind of reminds me of a mix of Dunban and Miles Edgeworth), followed with Cordelia, Severa, Owain, and Frederick tied for second. Stat wise, it's totally Morgan and Severa (with Avatar has her father).
  18. Why you ask? The fact that you can buy a brave sword, brave lance, killing edge, and Hector's axe is extremely useful as you can summon him and buy his items, rinse and repeat, which makes Lunatic mode a lot less of a headache, especially if you're like me and don't level grind.
  19. I'm at chapter 12 in Lunatic mode, so far I've found pairing up to be mandatory to keep my units alive as the enemies can kill most of your new recruits in one hit (and your trained units in 2-3 for the most part), and it really helps keeping resets to minimum.
  20. Yeah I know that, but I was saying I felt it worked alright for Roy because his Awakening redesign is basically a generic mercenary with a few things added on to it.
  21. Ok, it's not truly unique, but it is a lot less generic than the other DLC models, plus it looks more like his design than most of the other DLC characters. (Roy's DLC model is pretty close to his design as well since it was designed after the generic mercenary, but is lacking the headband and cape.)
