  1. Happy Birthday, sorry for being late.

  2. Happy Birthday!!! (again)

  3. happy 28th, man!

  4. I was really stunned to hear spoken french when I first played Kirby's Epic Yarn! I think Nintendo's stance is interesting for non-english markets, allowing a lot more people to understand the plot. Unfortunately, right now, the games being fully translated in french/spanish are the ones that depend less on text... I mean, playing Kirby without understanding what they say is not complicated, but playing Zelda is another matter. Interesting fact: unless I'm mistaken, the first console games to have been translated into french are Kirby's Dream Land on the GB, followed by Kirby's Adventures on the NES, making Kirby the first language friendly character on consoles. (I think the weird Mario is Missing on the NES was also translated) Computer games, on the other hand, were more often translated into french, probably because it was easier to do so on a computer. Anyway, I like this new trend and I applaud Nintendo's effort in that domain.
  5. IMO, Freddy is the single most talented rock singer ever. He had such an incredible voice, with a strong power and wide range, and with an incredible control over it. Although I'm too young to have had the chance to have heard Queen in their prime, I've become a great fan lately, mainly due to Freddy's incredible voice. It's a shame we lost him so young...
  6. Urgh, this is really a sad day for Canada... In the last elections, I voted NDP mainly because of him (yes, I'm from Québec). It's incredibly sad to see such a good man and politician die at the height of his carrer... The news of his death really struck me this morning... You will be missed Jack. Rest in peace, friend.
  7. For those interested and doesn't already know, the sound "ain" or "in" at the end of a word in French is pronounced a bit like "pain" in English (because in French, pain means bread lol) but wihout pronouncing the "n" sound at all. It's hard to really give a good idea to English speakers because there is no sound like that in English. (btw, French is mother tongue) But if you name Elerain thinking of the "ain" sound in French, it's not necessarily a bad idea, but you can be sure no one is gonna say it with that sound. Even I would pronouce à la english. Anyway, I really don't care how you name that character. As long as it has a name lol
  8. Haha, sorry about that lol. I know sarcasm is not always easy to detect in a simple text lol. And I didn't know people seriously made that suggestion haha...
  9. (that was sarcasm lol. Making multiple patches with different names would be an awful idea lol)
  10. Seeing how Malliesia/Malicia is sparking so much controversy, I'd suggest we'd make two versions of the patch. We'd have the "Malicia FE12 Patch" and the "Malliesia FE12 Patch". Then, we could continue the process with the Belf/Vergil Patch, Elrean Patch, Samto Patch... Then everyone will be happy, playing the game with their favorite characters named as they want (because yes, everyone love Malliesia, I even heard she was going to be in the next Smash Bros... She's such a central character in the story). I would personnally loooooove to play a FE12 Marius patch!
  11. Belf just makes me think of barf... I think it's because of Earhtbound, and that boss in the falls near Saturn Valley... what was his name again? Anyway, I find that name falls in the "worst name ever" category... Vergil (or Virgil or we), on the other hand, sounds simply epic. That's actually a bit funny to turn a barf guy into one of Rome's greatest authors, but I really love the name Vergil. Oh... and who was selling those shit-umbrellas for 99.99$ already? I'm gonna take four please. Edit: Nice table Snow. I don't know anything about katakana, but I find it really interesting to find how names are actually translated/located. My favorite localization of a name ever? Catherine becomes Birdo. Lol
  12. I guess it's NOA's way of telling you "I don't know what NOJ is thinking, and I won't know it much before you. But keep buying our games by visiting our exciting webiste!" Then... ctrl+c ctrl-v *change the game's name* ctrl+c ctrl-v *change the game's name* ctrl+c ctrl-v *change the game's name*...
  13. That "You Lose" post is one epic post lol! I'm all for name improvements. It's more fun playing with a character when you're actually able to pronouce its name without having to wonder how to... (or without having to start a thread to ask everyone how they pronouce that weird name...)
