  1. What I did notice was the red side was terrible - just plain awful, they got it handed to them hard by blue team, heh.
  2. I'm on my first playthrough, and I think it's pretty interesting so far. It does seem easier than the other games (Sealed Sword is pretty tough and Blazing Sword has its moments), but maybe it's just because I've been playing so much Fire Emblem lately that I've gotten better and smarter. I do like some of the new features with it, but I just flat don't like Eirika. She's so lame. Branching promotions are cool though, though the monsters, world map, neutral encounters and the Tower all just seem pretty cheeseball. But hey, at least the story and dialogue isn't as bad as Path of Radiance. The script for that game was just bad.
  3. I love Sain - the fact that he will hit on every woman is just too priceless. He's hilarious. And he's a cavalier so bonus points for being a useful class. I also like Dieck, for no other reason really than he's a powerhouse and seems to have some sort of history with Rutger, who is also pretty good. And of course Hector, since he's the most blunt character in the whole game. He just says whatever he wants straight to people's faces with no regard for feelings. Hilarious and classic.
  4. I can't play Blazing Sword without thinking to myself HECTORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! (Brad Pitt from "Troy") I constantly crack jokes about knights/generals sucking. I'll be talking with my buddy on AIM and he'll be asking how my game is going and I'll be like "Pretty good, but wait Oswin is so slow the army left him three maps ago because he couldn't keep up." Even though I live by myself, whenever I'm playing and someone's getting attack and they might be killed I usually scream out, "OH GOD (NAME), YOU GOTTA DODGE! MOOOOOOVE!!!" and if they die it's usually followed by a long "NOOOOOOOOO!!!" and a reset.
  5. I'm a rush player. I start all of my infantry in the front, healers/mages in the mid, cavalry in the back. That way I can rush up my infantry first and engage them while the horse take the extra turn or two to catch up. When the infantry get held back attacking, the healers can catch up and heal them while the cavalry charge ahead until they get hung up and so on. So I always have units moving forward while other units are falling back. I use a lot of cavalry and a lot of shock troops (myrmidons, mercenaries, fighters). I don't bother too much with archers and I NEVER use knights/generals. I don't care if they never take a point of damage - I'm impatient and I'm not going to hold everyone up so they can charge their huge metal cans out there to tank everything. My cavaliers can tank well enough AND move.
  6. I'm working on Sword of Seals, Blazing Sword, Sacred Stones and Path of Radiance. Sword of Seals - I've slowed down playing because I'm frustrated with how bad Roy sucks. Blazing Sword - I messed up supports (since I like to use them for the story, not the bonuses) so I stalled there. Sacred Stones - This is the one I'm playing the most right now and making good progress. Path of Radiance - Playing through again on Hard, but I'm stuck on a map because I keep sending my beefed out Marcia up to take out a ballista so I can charge up the hill, but someone always seems to die and it's usually not her. I wish I could play Radiant Dawn but I don't have a Wii, or the game. If I had the game I'd go ahead and rent a Wii from Rent-A-Center and then play it. But can't seem to win a copy for cheaps on Ebay, so eh.
  7. I don't get Wallace - knights and generals are too slow for my liking so I never bother using them.
  8. Anyone who has the patience to level him to level 2 would amaze me. Best of luck anyone who takes on that challenge - isn't there something better you could be doing with your time though ;)
  9. There's nothing like trying to move up to that Myrmidon with the Killing Edge and getting wasted then having to grudgingly hit that reset button. But I love them to death because of their mad criticals. It's great when you're the one doing it - not so fun when you're getting rocked.
  10. I go with: Eliwood - He's my main lord so I'm stuck with him. For me he's actually grown nicely, much better than his son, Roy, who sucks! Hector - He's got the strength of a fighter, the defense of a knight, BUT he still can move unlike stupid slow Oswin Lyn - She's like a Myrmidon, but stronger and better. Florina - Typically the Pegasus Knights can't take a hit or give one out for the life of them, but for me Florina is gaining strength like a madman so I'm keeping her in there as a glass cannon. Bartre - Just an all around powerhouse for me. Sain - I love him and I love cavaliers so he's definitely in my lineup Kent - I'm all about horse, so I keep him around and he's got good defense. Priscilla - Again, I'm about horse but I'm also all about Troubador/Valkyrie as they dominate so hard. Lucius - He may look a bit fruity, but he's pumping out mad Light damage and evades pretty well. Raven - I love mercenaries too and while he's starting slow, he's making big gains.
