    Erdrick.

    Thank you!

Erdrick/Loto is one of the most important protagonists of Dragon Quest. Which is a venerated series in Japan, for good reasons. Honestly, with how much Sakurai tends to prefer the tastes of the japanese gamers it's weird a Dragon Quest rep wasn't already confirmed. I'm sorry for Crono, Bravely, Mana or even Kingdom Hearts fans, but Dragon Quest is the second most important JRPG series, so it doesn't make sense to ignore it in favor of the others. It's not even a "dead" franchise like Crono is, or Megaman was before 11.

Also pairings with large age gaps or pairings between a far grown adult and child, such as Gregor with...almost anyone, and Frederick with Lissa or Gunter with Corrin.

Excuse me, how is Lissa a child or Frederick an old man? Lissa is implied to be maybe a couple years younger than her brother and her best friend Maribelle, and the two can marry each other. And Frederick can't be that much older than Chrom. Freddy is too old for Lissa, but not too old for Maribelle who is just a little older? Where's the logic? I agree about Gunter, he is clearly too old. Not so much about Gregor being too old for anyone. Even if we say he is 46 or something, you mean to tell me a 46 guy can't marry a beautiful young woman like, let's say the twenty-something Cherce? I disagree. And it goes both ways. I don't find anything wrong with the (maybe) 40 Reina marrying Corrin. It's one thing if they are old men/women, but in my opinion you are not old at 40 or 50.

Hector x Florina (their personalities are just too different and nothing in their original supports suggests any romantic interest)
Boyd x Mist (both of these pairings don't work for physical reasons)

Even if Florina and Mist are clearly younger than Lissa, I still think these pairings aren't that weird or that they "don't work for physical reasons".

Mist and Florina are about to hit puberty hard, so all Hector/Boyd has to do is wait maybe a couple of years, and voilà! Their fiancee is magically a grown up and capable of having children. No one said they had to make babies the instant they fall in love with each other (except in Fates, when they literally have a magical baby pop-out the instant you click the S-support. What's up with that?). Plus it's not like Hector and Boyd are old. They are youngsters. It would be a different matter if say Haar married Mist.

Corrin x Azura (and neither does this, because this is FULL ON incest)

To be fair, if they didn't grow up together there is no risk of their sibling relationship (that doesn't exists) messing with their romantic relationship. They fell in love while they where complete strangers, so the fact they are cousins doesn't ruin anything from an emotional PoV. And from a genetical PoV nothing is ruined either.

It takes more than in-breeding between cousins to create problems in the babies. Heck, often it takes more than one generation of doing it even between siblings to create problems.

I feel the only reason so many people don't like the implications here is that they have cousins irl and think of how strange it would be to hook up with them.

But there is a fine difference between cousins that spent their childhood together and cousins that never knew each other.

Corrin and Azura are strangers who happen to share a little blood, and that's it. It's not even comparable to things like Eldigan X Lachesis or Ephraim X Eirika.

The problem there is FIRST that they grew up together with an healthy sibling relations and SECOND that they are siblings, which is more dangerous than being cousins for the children.

I feel like I will never understand what's so wrong with Azura X Corrin, but that's just my opinion.

Now about which pairings and S-supports I find actually disgusting... well, mayber disgusting is a bit much, but an S-Support I find morally wrong is Robin X Lucina.

Much more than any other Robin X Child Character, this one feels wrong because atleast the other children weren't born yet in the current timeline, but Lucina was born already and Robin saw her as a baby... and than decided to marry that exact same baby grown-up. I have no words. What was IS smoking?

For a similar reason I don't like much the Corrin X Child Character pairings, since they clearly saw the child at birth. But I have less of a problem with this one since the circumstances around the childen in Fates are so weird and detached from reality, that it somehow makes them so unrealistic they aren't icky anymore.

    Tormod x Sanaki

They fit really well together. Both Tormod and Sanaki are bratty kid mages, they are in the same age range and their goals allign perfectly. We also know Tormod is Sanaki's agent which means the two do have character interactions the game isn't showing us.

While I do agree that this pairing would be cute, I must explain why "the age range" thing is stupid, unless it's like AthosXNino or something.

Sanaki is thirteen in RD, a whole 2 years younger than Lyn in Blazing Blade. And just because two people love each other, it doesn't mean they have to get married immediatly. Her hubby can just wait two years for her to develop and have a growth spurt. Nobody finds HectorXFlorina weird, and it operates on the same logic.

So, with that said, the pairing I consider the biggest missed opportunity in FE is:

    Reyson x Sanaki

Think about it for a second. What a wonderful message this marriage would give to the world. Reyson in PoR hated Beorc (with good reasons) and it was thanks to Sanaki that he started to change his views on them. She showed to him that not all Beorc were enemies that wanted to capture and kill Laguz, that some of them wanted to be friends and allies, and they weren't all so stubborn like he thought. Now thanks to the massive gap of time between when I played PoR to when I played RD I had time to think about this pairing, because I knew that sequel existed, I just didn't know much about it. When I played RD my hopes were disappointed and both Sanaki and Reyson were left without a canon pairing (like 80% of the cast ayy lmao).

Or alternatively you can just go Reyson x Tibarn

    You forgot Peganino.

Oh yeah, you're right. So this means Red Mage Flyer is the last one to get in the general pool. Aversa can't come soon enough.

Gamepedia currently lists Spring Xander above Camus, Clive, Finn, and Mathilda, which is an assessment I agree with.

He runs pretty much the same build as Florina and Jagen (just with Def and Res swapped), using his high bulk and low Spd to charge a stronger Special:

Spring Xander [+Def, -Spd] / [+Res, -Spd] (Slaying Lance+ [Def / Res], Ignis, Distant Counter / Close Def 3, Guard 3, Quick Riposte 3)

Oh wow, just shows you how much I actually know about the metagame (nothing). But if it's not Spring!Xander, who is the true worst GEN 1 Seasonal?

  5. One thing to consider is that not all seasonal units are created equal. In the very first seasonal banner we had Spring!Xander who sucked even back then and is still maybe the worst horse in the game. And at the same time we had Spring!Camilla, which is still a very desirable unit by virtue of being one of the only two Green Mage Flyers in the game, together with Bride!Sanaki.

If all the old seasonal units were on the level of Spring!Xander, it would make sense to think "they are old and shitty, they can just give them to everyone" and go with Solution 2, but that's simply not the truth. For the same reason, I think it's unlikely that they will add them as 3-4 stars. Solution 3 is the more realistic imho.

  6. I have to vote for Fiona, my favorite Cavalier, a class I generally dislike. I don't care how bad she is, I fed her with tons of BEXP and she was fine.

Besides her, I guess every Trainee and Est in existence, since I love characters who start weak but become monsters at the end of the game (I'm having flashbacks of my super-fast General Amelia in Sacred Stones. Good times), but the original Est in particular. I don't care what Mangs says, I used Est in both SD and Echoes and she's awesome. I also use her in Heroes a little.

  7. Uhm, after hearing everyone's opinion, I'm starting to think the Farfetched Heroes might indeed not be the next banner, but the one after.

So for the actual next banner... I guess it would make the most sense for it to be Binding Blade, Path of Radiance or Thracia, the games who received less attention.

And yet, a part of me still wishes for another Fates banner, and I should propably feel ashamed. But it's not my fault. It's IS' fault for not realeasing Charlotte.

PLS IS, IT'S BEEN 3000 YEARS! How long must I wait for my favorite Berserker? I guess if they don't count Loki and beasts, she can be a Farfetched Heroine. That gives me a little hope.

  8. Uhm, to answer the question. I think I will give the first 4 votes to characters I want to see in the game.

1° Tanith: The perfect pegasus knight, must take her rightful place at the top of the tier list. And also join her liege in a flying team.

2° Kempf: Fun fact, I never played Thracia. But thanks to Reinhardt I was interested to know more about the game, and I discovered the awesome Kempf. He is like the original Narcian, the first truly funny and despicable minor antagonist and deserves to be a GHB... NO! To be on a banner, and be an hard counter for Rein.

3° Petrine: Speaking of fun and memorable minor antagonists, Petrine most come to the game with her Flame Lance, to fry some maggots. She will get along well with Arvis atleast.

4° Aversa, if IS doesn't give her what she deserves in this year Farfetched Heroes banner, I trust enough people will be pissed enough to rally her at least n the top 20. If she is in the FH banner, my fourth vote will go to Naesala. Best birb <3

For my last 3 votes, I will see if someone I really care about is like in the second place on the temporary results and needs help to stay there, or if they are like in 4° place, and can climb with my support. It's what I did last time with Veronica. The characters for which I would do this are in order:

Camilla: She deserves to get the Bolverk, now that Garon is a Dragon.

Leo: Best boy has little chances, but if by some miracle he's up there, I will help him. (P.S.: Did you notice I'm Nohrian Scum?)

Reinhardt: For the power of the memes!!!

Surtr: For the power of even better memes. If he somehow manages to become a Brave H-E-R-O, that will make my day.

If no one of these four is close to the top 2... well, I don't know. I guess I will figure something out.

  9. Finally, I can partecipate in this topic. Hello everyone. I pulled a Myrrh fairly easily, with about 50 orbs. She is -HP/+Def which is okay, I guess. She will be a great addiction to my Armor Team. But now I'm uncertain of what to do with the rest of my orbs. I don't really care much for merges or SI, but I know I'm missing a ranged armor for my team.

I have Zelgius, L!Hector, M!Grima and now H!Myrrh who can counter at distance, but no one that can attack from a distance. Should I try for Niles? Or am I better off trying fro Henry and Jakob when they come back?

Welcome hope you enjoy your stay here at the forest. But be warned people can be extremely harsh. Have you played fates if not I could recommend some things for you to look at for help.

Thanks for the warning, but I think I will be fine. :) I don't care in the slightest about the pre-3DS vs post-3DS drama. I liked all the FE games I played, so I'm on the side of nobody on that war.

And boy, have I played Fates? Have I? I played it so much that it's probably my most played game on the 3DS. But I think it's because it is technically 3 games. If it wasn't for that I think Awakening would beat it. I also played some DLC for it. But I think I should clarify which games I played. Besides the one I already mentioned, I also played Shadow Dragon, Radiant Dawn (on Easy and I still had a hard time. But I still enjoyed the game a lot) and finally Blazing Blade. I also started Binding Blade, but when I picked Echoes up I kinda dropped it. I wish to restart it when I finish that game, but thanks to Heroes sucking away so much of my time, I'm not sure when I will finish it. I've been on the last dungeon (or at least I think it's the last one, besides post-game) for more than a month lol.

I also have some knowledge of the story of Mystery, Thracia and especially Genealogy, even if I didn't play them myself.

  11. Hello fellow tactitians, I'm new here. Not completely new because I lurked for a while, but now I've decided to finally create an account and start posting.

I'm 21 but I play FE since I was 13. I started with Sacred Stones, which still is one of my most beloved games ever. After that I got to play PoR, and then Awakening, which was the game that really got me hooked with the community and made me search FE things on the internet.

And that's how I discovered Serenes Forest, but I mostly used the site for the news or to discover stuff about the old games. I was always more interested about lore and characters than the gameplay. Mostly because I'm not very good at it.

Recently I play Heroes a lot (and I'm still not good at it), and it was that game that made me want to join SF as an active member, with how often there are new things to talk about with that game, so here I am. I hope we can get along nicely. :)
