  1. Oh hey! Skull Island is actually on TV and I'll be able to watch it!

Unrelated: but I bought a pretty pair of earrings that had small (fake) pearls yesterday. I looked at them today. A pearl is missing from one of them.

Sigh.... Time to go the craft store so I can glue a pearl on.

    Also, how's FE4 going?

    Shit I forgot about FE4

Yeah, I did have a nice time! I finally got some replacement stud earrings after I lost one of mine in while I was sleeping a week or two ago. And I got one of those eye masks so that when I open my eyes for like 1 second in the morning and see that there's sunlight my brain won't go "oh, sunlight. Wakey-wakey, bitch!"

Enough for you to pass out so that when you wake up, the movies are over.

Not even booze makes them fun? Although tbf I can't legally drink yet

It's not on Netflix anyway. The MonsterVerse movies are on HBO Max. As for the rest of the franchises (both Godzilla and King Kong if you're interested)

    • Godzilla 98 and the anime trilogy are on Netflix.
    • King Kong 2005, you could probably rent from Redbox or something. At any rate, getting a copy shouldn't be too hard to find, it is the definitive edition of the classic King Kong story.

You'll have to pirate everything else unless you feel like spending $100+. Most of the Godzilla movies are found on Kissasian (and yes i do recommend you watch the Japanese ones in their original language) and the anime trilogy in particular can also be watched on whatever pirated anime streaming site of your choosing. You can also check Archive.org (which also has the English dub edits so make sure you're watching the original Japanese versions) because some of the movies aren't on Kissasian, (and then there's Godzilla vs Destoroyah, which is on Kissasian but the version there is Google translated so you'll have to go to Archive.org for subtitles that actually make sense). Kissasian and Archive.org is also where you'll find King Kong vs Godzilla and King Kong Escapes, the two Toho-produced King Kong movies. Just as a warning though, Archive.org is wack sometimes so i wouldn't go there as my first option.

The original King Kong, Son of Kong, 1976 and King Kong Lives, you'll have to torrent. Although i do remember seeing the original King Kong and Son of Kong fully uploaded on YouTube so look there for those two.

If you want to watch the good movies and skip the bad ones, here's a link to my rankings (which is also on my sig but you might be on mobile so i'll leave the link here). I mention it on the description but i'll say it here as well: anything below Rebirth of Mothra 1, i would not recommend you watch. If you aren't interested in the Mothra and Rodan solo movies, then the original King Kong would be the cutoff point. I also recommend saving Final Wars for last (or at least until you've seen most of the movies that came before it, it's way more enjoyable that way).

Yo, ho, ho, it's a pirate's life for me, I guess!

Because what white old executive man from the West wants to be holding a smartphone with the image of a cutesy girl named "Hatsoon Mekoo" on it who isn't actually real? Sorry Japan but you're just too weird. and advertise it? It's a total clash of everything possible.

He sounds like me when I had to read Bible passages back when I took Catechism class.

Those were dark times, but at least I got one of my few good IRL friends out of it!

They are that bad. Peak wasted potential. The entire trilogy are among some of the most boring movies I've ever seen. If you want to know how boring, the anime trilogy is the only time where Burning Godzilla isn't exciting. And it really sucks that the Reiwa era of Godzilla films only had four movies in it because the anime trilogy makes it the worst Godzilla era in the franchise, which is unfortunate because the Reiwa era actually got a good start with Shin Godzilla. This might be a hot take but I feel that the Showa and Reiwa eras are the only Godzilla eras that began with a good movie (and funnily enough, Shin Godzilla is a soft remake of the original 1954).

To compare the other "firsts" of the other eras:

The Return of Godzilla, which started the Heisei era honestly isn't that great. It's the only Heisei Godzilla movie I'd consider bad.

Godzilla 2000 started the Millennium era and it is very boring. In fact, the Millennium era had the roughest start, it had two bad movies before getting back on it's feet with GMK.

The MonsterVerse is basically in the same boat as the Heisei era. Started off bad (though to Godzilla 2014's credit, there are some good moments, most notably, the fatality Godzilla does on the female MUTO, and Kaiju fatalities seem to be a trend in the MonsterVerse) before picking up steam. Although it's still too early to judge the MonsterVerse imo. Both Kong: Skull Island and King of the Monsters are fantastic (with Skull Island being the best King Kong movie imo) but I'll wait until Godzilla vs Kong to properly judge the MonsterVerse.

I'm just rambling at this point though.

Oh god. How drunk should I be if I wanna watch them?

I still need to see Skull Island. Unfortunately, my family (or at least my grandmother) doesn't have Netflix, so I'll have to wait until it comes on TV or something since my grandmother still has cable.

Also don't feel bad about rambling. I do that all the time when it's about things I'm passionate about.

If I had to guess, I'm guessing they put Godzilla in that because Evangelion is also in it Hideaki Anno did direct Shin Godzilla.

Granted, they used a completely new version of Godzilla here so this theory probably doesn't hold much water. They likely did it because it was cool (and it shows that Godzilla can actually look good in an anime unlike the......disaster that was the Godzilla anime trilogy).

This is probably my naivety but the anime movies can't be that bad

I'm more confused as to why Miku of all things/people is involved in this.

Also I just saw a pic of 1998 Godzilla/Zilla and I can now understand why people hate that lizard.

What the fuck was that over-sized iguana?

    Thanks, Slick!

Well technically speaking, Godzilla fought Miku already, as @Armagon shared some time ago.

(I didn't count this as one of the 35 Godzilla movies, by the way.)

    I have two questions:

    1. Who decided to create this oddly-specific crossover?
    2. Where has this been all my life?

For the first two it just sounds like somebody at Google was being lazy at their job.

For the third one, boy it's been too long since I've seen Peewee's Big Adventure, but it seems it was qualified because of this scene:

The Daicon III opening seems to have King Ghidorah in it.

For Hollywood Boulevard it seems to be for these scenes:

That Meet the Pegasus movie kind of eludes me a bit.  You're referring to the 2014 Chinese movie?

Well, that explains those three! And yes I think Google was referring to the 2014 Chinese movie.

As the local Godzilla expert, it's a little known fact that Pee-wee Herman is Godzilla's second greatest foe behind Hatsune Miku, and also that Google is pretty dumb.

(Though there are 35 actual Godzilla movies if you're still wondering.)

C'mon, Toho! Get on Godzilla vs Hatsune Miku and Peewee Herman!

  8. So, a few days ago I looked up "list of Godzilla movies" on Google cuz a friend asked me how many Godzilla movies there were, and there are a few interesting..... details to say the least

    • Google didn't list the original 1954 version of Godzilla nor the supposed mistake that is the 1998 version of Godzilla, but it did have the 2014 version listed
    • Google was missing 2019's King of the Monsters, but it did list the 1956 version of King of the Monsters with Raymond Burr (which is pretty much an edited and dubbed version of the 54 Godzilla movie that added in a few scenes of Raymond Burr playing a reporter
    • Apparently Peewee's Big Adventure, DAICON III Opening, Hollywood Boulevard, and Meet the Pegasus are Godzilla movies.

Somebody who's an expert on Godzilla explain this

Yeah, Double Special has better odds. Also, at first, I read "F!Julia" as "Female Julia" and was confused for a bit there. "Isn't she always female?" And then that go me thinking about what she'd look like as a dude, especially since she doesn't really look much like either of her brothers.

I usually have better luck on Legendary/Mythic and Double Special banners (except the L!Leif banner where I spent 200 orbs trying to get him and only got a -ATK F!Tiki but shhhh), but I'd figure that I'd save until the last day anyway while also doing more Lunatic Chain Challenges.

Lunatic Chain Challenges are a pain.

  10. I've had the weirdest luck on this banner. I spent around 180 orbs sniping specifically for red and got around 5 5*s, but no Sigurd and Deirdre. It's even weirder because they're all pretty decent units (Kiria, a second normal Lysithea, a second F!Julia, Lethe, and F!Kris) that are all +ATK sans Lysithea (who is +RES) and Lethe (who is neutral).

Welp, time to hoard orbs until the last possible day of this banner and if I don't get Sigurd/Deirdre then, I can hoard orbs until they inevitably get rerun.

  11. Yo guess who got a haircut even though I got one less than a year ago? There was... more that was chopped off than I was expecting

Hey, nice! Now you can finally play Berwick Saga

It is really nice to have a functioning computer-I got this one about...April? It's pretty good even though it's six years old. Much better than my old one which was 19 years old and could barely run GBA games...Hope you enjoy!

Officially it's for art, but who cares? It's my Surface, I do what I want with it. Although I am gonna shut it off for now so I can charge it and use my tablet

  13. I, thankfully, have never had dog food. It looks gross tbh.

My dogs, though. They've had a bunch of human food. Sometimes my grandma sprinkles in some shredded cheese when she feeds them. I tend to call Pepe in to eat things I've accidentally dropped on the ground like noodles. Pepe also likes watermelon and cabbage. And there was an infamous incident where I microwaved some chicken nuggets, put them on a table, and didn't notice that the chair wasn't far away enough from the table when I went to do something and when I came back I noticed that my nuggets vanished into thin air.

    Thanks, Pepe
