  1. Yeah, Ritisa nailed it. Adding the graphics and shufling that stuff around on the window is a pain in the butt. Just use weapon locks and have descriptions say stuff like "Assassin only" or whatever.

  5. These really are the most impressive FE9 sprites I've seen in the fandom to date, taken as a whole collection. There might be one or two really impressive solo sprites from others that blow these out of the water, but none of the other collections come near this level of quality. Can't wait to see them in a game.
  6. As a song in and of itself, it's pretty good. Somewhere from 6-8/10 depending on the part of the song being listened to. However, I like the current intro and outro, they are really catchy and much more suited for the 'tone' of the contest. This new one is almost like the song that plays for victory at the end of FE7, it's more of a "Welp, it's finally over." tune.

Also, here is Gerik's growths: Growths: HP: 35% STR: 80% SKL: 5% SPD: 20% LUK: 0% DEF: 80% RES: 95% Komments: He fucking sucked. Shocker. Klok Rates: 1/10.
  10. And finally, the finale! [spoiler=chapter 14 part THREEEEEEEEEEE] So for this final run, I took off all monsters and only put my 6 best units, three per route, plus Saleh. Gonna zoom through the early parts, just show quick highlights. Yikes! Amazingly, Pornmag actually managed to critical this guy. #FML Easily fixed tho. Three 'could have been better' levels back to back. I RNG abused for this critical. Didn't RNG abuse for this hit though. Rennac escaped, which is normally a reason for me to reset but... I DON'T GIVEAFUCK. These... goddamn druids... My army by about turn 6/7/8ish. Tethys is in a tight spot but luckily she has AVO out the ass and 3 uses of elixir plus even a runesword. OH MY GAH HE GOT SPEED, STOP THE PRESSES By putting Tethys in a corner, I make it so only two dark users can attack her at range and the rest have to get in close so she can retaliate with swords. Saleh can go grab that NW chest. The zerking never ends! *HOLY MUSIC PLAYS* Hmm, I still need want this. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Oh right he can be revived. He's like the gift that keeps on giving! Fadeout hits the Sniper for 15 damage (Snipers have shit for HP growth, only 21 HP for reals?) and Pornmag finishes. Decent level/10. Once I run this out... I'll grab this in the meantime. TIME 2 STORM TEH INTERIOR And then these guys spawn. It's 'k, they're super weak. And like, all my units have good RES. No exceptions. I'd kill to have thracia capture/steal mechanics right now. ...You can do better than that, buster. Oh and this dropped off a guy. This is gonna take a while. Neat. Fadeout can't even hurt him. Luckily THE BOULDER and Fadeout meet for a romantic rendezvous in the center and share a passionate restorative session together. Piss off, you blimey cunts.   13. It never died. I've just been quietly working on it for 8ish months, at least the planning phase-wise. I also got a bunch of ASM compiled for me and Brendor is working on anything left over. In the end, I've known Kirie for years so I'm gonna have her do it. If she bails out later (And she won't cuz TEAMWOOOORK) then I'll let one of you two know. Thanks!
  14. Yes. Use FEXP or FEXNA once they're out. You can't break the limit for enemies in GBA.
  15. It's not really difficult, just tedious. All you have to do is copy-paste a whole lot of battle sprites, character face chibis, and weapon icons, then edit in text in two sizes along with the correct font. Heck, you don't even have to arrange them properly. Just put every class on the sheet and I'll go through and add arrows/move them around as needed. There's even a great base image I made that has all the info you'll ever need. So yeah, if you wanna do it I'll add you to the chat :)

  17. last post feb 25th oh wow Okay, so there is a teeeeeeny tiny update. Tequila was working on a big super image very similar to the above image. Think like this old GameFAQ's thing, but much much bigger. The overall idea being to show each class and how it relates to other classes, as well as where each character appears on the class pyramid. Problem! It was a lot of work and he got bored :( Solution! If anyone would like to tackle it, they get exclusive access to the sekrit FE8CM spreadsheet, the sekrit FE8CM conversation about upcoming things, and they get to help make this one mega-image thingy. Ofc I don't like posting much more than teasers publicly, so you also can'tsayaword about the sekrit stuff publicly. So if you're unable to resist the temptation of spoilers, it's not the job for you :( Anyone interested?
  18. From what we know, wouldn't any restrictions actually have been lessened in the transition from FE6/7 to FE8?
  19. You'll have to explain what you meant by this. 1500x1500 maps? Completely and 100% not doable in GBA romhacking. Not to mention making such a map is completely a waste of time and energy. Now, if you meant something else (I don't know how to take '1500 max') then it might be doable. GBA has a limit to how big maps can be, though I don't recall what that exact tile limit is, and it also has a limit as to how many units in each team can be on the map. As far as I know, you definitely can't go past 100x100 tiles in GBA, and I think 64x64 might(?) be the biggest possible. Afaik the map in Sacred Contention was really large, and FE4A had some ASM or other shenanigans it used for its big maps, but again I'm not a big romhacker. FEXp, maybe you could do it, but the slowdown would be intense. FEXNA, you could do as big as 100x100, and bigger if need be, but there would be a slowdown noticeable by the point a certain number of units are on the map. My own tests for Sacred Contention 2 with 150ish enemy units notes a slight slowdown, and I'm sure if I kept adding more there would definitely be more of an impact. Essentially, the bigger the map, the greater the slowdown, and in the case of romhacking, the less it becomes doable. Oh and if by 1500 you meant a world map image of 1500x1500, it's probably doable in GBA, easily doable in FEXNA but you're still asking for a lot of work creatively. I hope you'll have the drive to complete it :)
