  1. Florida has people ready to leap off the ledge already lol We may have to wait until Friday for a winner, people, chill out. EDIT: AZ is going blue EDIT2: look at Georgia MORE FUN (Stop stressing out, it can change on a dime.)
  2. lol Hillary performed better than Biden has I know they have a Cuban-American population that the other swing states don't that trends conservative (THANKS CASTRO) so I really shouldn't be surprised that Florida is the perennial blue red herring. Texas may be a marginally better bet but I keep reminding myself that they've elected and re-elected Cruz. EDIT: Outside of Florida I think my map is going to be accurate. It'll come down to Wisconsin/Michigan/Pennsylvania.
  3. WHY FLORIDA WHY? EDIT: It's a must-win for Trump and not for Biden so I'm still optimistic but this happens EVERY TIME
  4. There have been, and currently still are, good indications that this won’t be 2016. Being cautiously optimistic is fine.
  5. My predictions. Mind you, I was wrong in 2016 sooooo... Lets see how far off I am this time lol
  6. If they explained every character trait in great, explicit detail it kind of defeats the purpose of character development (or... revelation?). I think we can deduce why most people fake smile and apply the same explanation to why Claude does it.
  7. funny how the party that screams the loudest about voter fraud seems to do like 99% of the reported election fraud hmm
  8. I think believing the land may be sentient and willing to listen to you qualifies just as surely as believing a being in the sky does the same.
  9. He's caught praying to the land in his Lorenz A support. He's not an atheist, he just doesn't believe in the goddess of Fodlan nor is he particularly devout.
  10. he's so desperate to look like a big strong man that he's going to end up killing himself and his staff to maintain appearances jfc
  11. Somehow he sounds even less coherent.
  12. Because she is no longer in the way after she appoints Byleth her successor and disappears for most of the game. When she returns, she doesn't seem to have any interest in remaining in power. There is no reason for them to refuse to work with the Church any more than there is a reason for them to refuse to work with the Kingdom in AM. Now if Rhea didn't want to roll over and just fork everything to her mom after she's rescued, then it might work. But she does. Nemesis works in SS better than in VW, but Rhea doesn't really work better in VW because she just isn't a threat any more halfway through the story.
  13. Trump being firehosed with scandal after scandal isn't anything new. The victory lap that endangers everyone around him because he's insecure, has been watching the coverage, and wants to look strong is 100% within his character. So is hiding his test results. And trying to make merch out of virtually anything. He'd do all that even if he was sick and getting sicker. He has it lol
  14. Pretty confident he isn't faking it at this point, tbh. The guy never shuts up on Twitter and he's been very quiet.
  15. Rhea as final boss only works with dragon cray cray, regardless of route, which kind of eliminates any emotional resonance that decision might have outside of CF lol SS Rhea boss fight might actually be the least justified boss fight tbh. Just plopping her in VW doesn't make it better.
  16. Only nitpick I have is that Claude really isn't against religious belief or the Church and he explains why in his support chains, so I'm fine with accepting him teaming up with the Church of Seiros as a strategic move to improve their current situation. Rhea is another thing altogether and the center of his issues with how the Church is currently being run, but she's put in the fridge for most of the story and when she re-emerges her level has a threat as been severely compromised -- she's physically weak and has more or less already named Byleth her successor. Claude wanting to murder her face then would be an impressive feat of self-sabotage lol. I think she makes a more fitting boss than Nemesis, but Rhea's role in the story would have to be rewritten almost entirely if we want the fight to be something more meaningful than just the result of dragon going cray cray once more.
  17. remove trump from the equation and a significant amount of people would stop suffering or be prevented from starting to suffer additionally, the suffering he's currently enduring is due to his own hubris, not due to us being mean to him you would not expect a drunk driver who recklessly drove over multitudes of people to be given much sympathy when we discover later that he has cirrhosis
  18. I'm more worried about the dozens of White House staff these idiots likely have infected who can't afford to lose their jobs, who didn't deserve to be endangered because of their gross negligence. I personally want him to live so he can lose the election, get tossed in jail and eventually die alone completely bereft of his wealth and self-respect. Covid is almost too easy.
  19. now it's going around because they just had to have a political rally in the rose garden instead of doing a zoom call
  20. It's not 'unthinkable', but it's unlikely. He has access to the best care in the world and so far it he hasn't been symptomatic. I'd say his outlook is pretty good even with his poor health. But who knows. Covid has a habit of going south very quickly. I'm just not wishcasting nor very worried.
  21. since he's in a Fox-induced bubble and surrounded by sycophants, he genuinely thought he hit it out of the park
  22. Update: It's going over about as well as you'd think he needs to pull close enough to biden to contest the election (though he'll probably try regardless) but that will require showing up and actually behaving and i don't know if he's even capable of doing that lol
  23. I think if the moderator attempts to factcheck live most of the debate will just be them arguing with Trump, because he lied just about every time he opened his mouth. You got a lot of that even in this debate. It's playing chess with a pigeon.
  24. Pundits: "The debate was a draw. Biden did well only because of low expectations for him."
