Nah, in Tellius, mages and the other footsoldiers had 5 mov bevor and 6 after promotion, beside knights.
I'm playing through Radiant Dawn right now, and the mages do have less Mov than other infantry units. I'll be fine if that's the case here- I just don't want them to never gain Mov like in SoV.

I'm not sure where people are getting Lorenz from. Is there another screenshot that implies that he's an option. Personally, my main hope right now is Claude being an option. I'd love to have a Blue Lions guy too, but I at least want him.

One of the people who played the demo at E3 literally said there is no weapon triangle but combat arts exist that can give bonuses that emulate the WT for a single engagement.
So the WT as a system is gone. It's not really a point of contention. We even saw plenty of gameplay footage today that suggested as such.I'm pretty sure they meant Professor Skills instead of Combat Arts, seeing as Felix had a skill that looks like it could be axebreaker in one of the GameSpot videos, despite not using any combat arts (and I'm pretty sure Famitsu described it as one). So, while the triangle itself isn't in, eventually enemies in higher difficulties might all have breaker skills.

At least, since you can recruit at least some characters from other houses, transferring a same-sex option will hopefully be possible. Either that, or have it be neutral characters (though at least we won't have to buy another game to get a same-sex option).
-
I hope that there is something else going on and that there will be a same-sex option (especially considering that there is more guys than girls in Blue Lions), but I'm not holding my breath.

Being gay or bi doesn't need to make anymore sense or have anymore justification than being straight does.

It seems that other equipment, like shields, are back. Maybe they're related to Heavy Armor?

We know from the Tree House presentation that Linhardt has weaknesses in Axe and Fighting while Ferdinand has strengths in Sword, Axe, and Lance.

I wouldn't be surprised if Byleth and some of the others were boosted so they wouldn't fail as easily. Several of the Fates previews had the same thing happening to Corrin, with Chapter 2 in particular having Corrin at level 6 or 7, which was impossible.

By the way, I'm hearing completely different accounts on this. Some are saying it's a golden path while others are saying it's a Kill Em' All kinda ending, can I have some clarity as to which it is?
I just checked and it seems it's more like the former.

Huh, what ? There's apparently four path, one for each main characters, and apparently a fourth which is apparently the golden path, which is apparenty Eldelguard but different, if I remember correctly. That's why I said that 'you can't say that you worked for it, if you already chosen it', battle difficulty is a non-factor, I meant it that it was a bad argument. I believe that you are still not really working for it, since, again, you have chosen the path already. I find it stupid.
I have a hard time tolerating obvious golden endings when you actually have to work for it.
We don't know, for sure sure, that there is going to be a golden ending, but considering that almost everything that Thani said was true... Well, that's one news that I'm really not hyped for.I know about the fourth path, but I don't remember Thani herself mentioning it would be a golden path (though I did phrase that weirdly). However, what we know for sure is that it branches off of Edelgard's original path, so it's not just something you choose. There has to be some degree of effort, even if it's just having to play the three other paths first. There being a golden ending doesn't even fully invalidate the other endings. As other people have mentioned, you can consider which ever one you want the canon one.

ok, now i feel MUCH more positive about this damn game
i still don't like how they seem to be willing to forcefully implement in-game marriages though, since i prefer them when they're told in the records after beating the final chapter
well, i guess i'll just have to deal with it (for now)
also, i hope marriages are not cringey like they were in fates
We know that there is romance, but that doesn't mean it has to be marriage right away. It could be like how a lot of the 2nd Gen supports in Fates had them start dating, and then have them marry in their paired endings.

So do we know how we access Advanced Tier classes? Is it based off weapon ranking or reaching a certain level?
I assume it would be both, like the first two tiers.

You can't say that you worked for it when you are already on the path leading to the golden ending, no matter the difficulty chosen, especially no matter the difficulty. And even if it wasn't the case, it's still would be bad.
We don't even know if there is going to be a golden ending, let alone if every path is going to get it. And I don't think the difficulty should have any bearing at all on the story. Why would it be bad, even if you had to work for it?

I'm pretty sure we did we see in a famitsu screenshot that weight was a thing that will be probably just reduce speed I'd say.
I know Weight is a thing, but I don't think an Iron Lance having 2 weight while an Iron Sword has 5 would make any sense at all. And considering how much Strength she has, it using the Tellius formula would make even less sense. That's why I think there will be a dedicated stat for weight, like Con. I guess I could have explained myself better, though.
This is unrelated, but I really like that enemies of different factions will fight each other. Hopefully this means we won't have situations like Revelation Chapter 13.
-
I think the video might have confirmed Con or something similar returning. Byleth was weighed down by 2 by the Iron Lance, and it seems unlikely that it would have 26 weight (2 more than her strength at the time) or 2 weight (less than an Iron Sword), so a Con stat is the only thing that would make sense.

It seems, based off Annette anyways, mages have shite move in this game which I'm not super happy about. It might just be the terrain, I didn't really notice, but Annette didn't get to move far nor see any action. Hopefully we don't have a repeat of SoV where mages were very meh because of their move.
We don't see it happen, but it seems like Felix used the gambit that boosts movement on most of the units nearby, but Annette being outside the range prevented her from getting it, keeping her from catching up with the others.
-
Who says that it's forced or an "auto gateway?" For all we know, we might have to really work for a theoretical golden ending.

Have you guys found anything juicy? New characters, strengths and weaknesses
Linhardt had weaknesses in Axe and Fighting.
Ferdinand had strengths in Swords, Lances, and Axes.
There were two teachers- Gilbert and Shamir.

This confirms that we do have 4 Tiers, considering the scroll bar. I think that the class the poster called Sage might be a promotion for Brawler, because it looks too armored. I wonder if mixed offensive classes will only be in 4th Tier.

I'm guessing the customization is only the name, strengths and weaknesses, and maybe asset and flaw. I think lances being effective against cavalry is interesting though. I guess it explains why they have so few uses. Also, those Demon Beasts sound very cool. I've enjoyed the few actual boss-like enemies in the series, so if they're more common here I'll be happy.

I don't know it it's just me, but the hair color looks different between them. Or is it that funny-looking headpiece?
She does seem to be wearing a head-piece. If you look at the very top of her head, you can see that the hair seems to be the same color.

If this is indeed Edelgard(if so I'm not feeling this design at all so far....tbf it's blurry so my opinion could change very soon) I hope its just for only the three house leaders MAYBE Byleth speaking of I'm honestly surprised no one ask if they'll get a different look I mean they're the Protagonist I'd assume maybe(I'm not talking about advanced classes btw). I can see 3 others being Lysithea, Annette and Ignace looking slightly different everyone else already look grown up so it's unneeded since its not huge of a skip like seriously ie how in world can you make characters like Hubert, Dedue and Raphel look different?!?! looooool
They could be wearing different clothes in their portraits for one. There could also be different hairstyles, facial hair, and scars. I could easily see Dedue or Felix getting a scar or two, for example. But I am guessing some (like Raphael) will mostly just be clothing changes.

Claude: He's the most interesting of the lords to me right now both in gameplay and in character, and he has my favorite design out of the three.
Ashe: He seems really cute and I'm interested in his background, especially considering the fact that we have to fight his dad. His free locktouch also helps.
Felix: He's pretty cool looking, and I like sarcastic characters. The fact that he's the only major crest (other than Byleth) that we've seen so far makes me more interested.
Dedue or Sylvain: I'm definitely not biased. Either one I go with would be my main Axe user, but I want to see more about Sylvain's character before choosing him.
Bernadetta: She also seems cute, and the fact that she might specialize in Armor makes me interested.
Ingrid: I like Pegasus Knights, and I'm interested in the fact that she wants to repair her family. And she's really pretty.
Lysithea: I need a dedicated Reason unit, and I like the prodigy mage type character. Dorothea is also an option, though.
Mercedes or Marianne: I'd need to see more about Marianne, but either one would be my main healer.

My guess/hope for a demo would be from the choice between the houses until the mock battle, maybe with a little bit before. I'd want a little time to try out teaching and see what the weekend activities are like.

Yeah, I'm not really worried yet. I wish some of the Blue Lions were options, since they are the best looking guys overall IMO, but I'll be fine as long as there are more and better options than in Fates. I am bi, though, so gay people will probably be more opinionated.
On a more positive note, that new BGM preview is really good. I wish we got to hear more of it, though.
