That way you get a more broad range of guys. You then get the skinny girly kind of guy in Linhard, the though muscled young guy in Dedue or Sylvain and then the mature guy with facial guy in Alois. That way fans of every stripe get someone that caters to their tastes.
Yeah, tbh i only see complaints because Gilbert. Lets all hope for a support patch on the m!m house

I can understand why Linhardt and Alois. But i think people would complain way less, if theyd switch Gilbert with a Student, doesnt matter if itd be Claude, Raphael, Fernand, Ashe or Iggy, as examples.

I wonder why they didnt made a bio for at least Rodriguez and Anna. My fear is, Rodriguez is not important as we thought, or that he got cut.
As for Anna, yeah shes just the black market seller again,but shes the series maskot and also has a crest.

Once again proving Claude’s the stable one of the trio of house leaders.
If the house leaders were all to run for some government office, Edelgard and Dimitri would both do something so outlandish and crazy that they end up disqualifying themselves from the election, and Claude would just be the goody two-shoes who played things safe and ended up getting elected simply by not being a psychopath. And that’s a dynamic I love.
But what if Claude is the psychopath in the end?

Well, we don't know for sure, that there isn't any kind of interaction with the pets, at least one should be able to "talk" to them, like Celica could with the cats on Echoes

If Jeritza and Tomas can be roped into teaching Seminars I'd guess:
- Jeritza (Swords && Bows) - Looks like an Assassin type to me, so maybe Bows to not double up Swords && Brawling with Catherine.
- Tomas (Reason && Faith) - He's got the absurdly huge forearm sleeves of the Warlock class.
And maybe:
- Rodrigue (Reason && Authority) - He's doesn't match the other magic users' look, but he's wearing an ankle length dress and a cape so...
- Rhea (Brawling && Faith) - Brawling if she turns out to be a dragon, replace with Authority otherwise?
- Jeralt (Swords && Axes) - The Greil-ish choice.
- Anna (Axes && Bows) - Axes from Heroes, other good options are taken by Jeritza and Shamir. Maybe Bows && Faith?
That would make 5 Sword, 3 Lance, 4 Axes, 4 Bows, 3 Brawl, 3 Reason, 3 Faith, 3 Authority.
Anna is confirmed to be only the secret shop seller, via Famitsu

Yeah, Alois and Gilbert are the same "daddy archetype", but Alois is still okay for his are (45), whereas Gilbert is probably around 55. And to me personally, Alois is a better option than Gilbert, cuz of his personality. The thing with Gilbert is, you can marry him AND his daughter, Annette. That would causes some serious family war imo lol
