  1. So, question. What exactly do you even do on her route that causes the crests to disappear? My impression is that on her route the crests disappear the instant you kill Seiros/Rhea, but Seiros/Rhea dies on other routes (like Church) without the crests going away, and you find out on Golden Deer that
  2. The game more or less “locks” in the RNG for a level-up when you start a map. You can’t tweak it using Divine Pulse, except maybe to go back and ensure that that character doesn’t gain a level that map if you’re really desperate.
  3. No. They are automatically obtained as part of the story. Yes, he does get an insanely good wyvern battalion (+8 STR and I think +20 avoid) with probably the best AOE gambit in the game. It also only requires a C in authority (and can be used and abused in NG+). As for your question,
  4. Sorry, I assumed since Claude does automatically start with his (and I believe Edelgard does as well). Sorry, I forgot Chapter 6.
  5. God-shattered Star, only because you get a whole lot more time to enjoy it
  6. 1. On the true Black Eagles path, you only face him three times. On the other paths, you face him . . . a whole lot more than that. 2. Except for Byleth and the Lord’s exclusive classes (and Dancer), anyone can be anything that their gender allows them to be. 3. The Black Eagles is the only path that has a major shift. You can only change some minor details in the others.
  7. Yes, that is correct for the ring. And thank you for the Rhea info: it looks like her support chain is the screwiest in terms of timing. Also, it looks like almost all of Dimitri’s and Dedue’s C and B supports are pre-skip only. I haven’t yet checked all of them, but all of the ones I’ve checked are.
  8. Byleth and Caspar’s B-support is locked until after the time skip (as is noted in the list in my first post). You do not need to do his paralogue (which is post-skip and he shares with Mercedes). I was able to buy up to A-support immediately in new game plus, so I assume there is no time restrictions there (and I assume that later you might be able to buy supports that you would otherwise have missed as well). Of course, you need to have already obtained the support on a prior playthrough in order to buy it with renown.
  9. I am creating this thread in an effort to compile all known support conversations that have some sort of notable time-lock on them. By this, I mean particularly: 1) Support conversations that can be missed completely because they are only available pre-skip (i.e. before the end of Chapter 12). If you do not get one of these supports when it is available, you cannot continue the support chain past that point 2) Notable support conversations (like Byleth B-supports for recruiting purposes) that are locked until after the time-skip There are three general rules that apply across the board: 1) With the notable exceptions of Alois and Gilbert, every character's C-support with Byleth is only available pre-skip 2) In addition, all A-supports are locked until after the post-skip, with the exception of Byleth x Rhea, which MUST be obtained pre-skip 3) To obtain an S-support between Byleth and another character, you must obtain the wedding ring from Jeralt's room when prompted by the game during Chapter 10. If you do so, on the very final day of your route, before the final level, you will have the option of choosing which character to S-support from a list of all compatible characters you have an existing A-support with. Here are all the other support conversations that have some sort of time-lock that I have noticed (list is hidden due to length):
  10. The church route essentially sends you down a watered-down version of the Golden Deer Route. If you don't think you'll have the time or energy to do all four routes, I recommend playing Edelgard's route since it is unique.
  11. Each of the lords automatically has their hero relic when you reunite with them post-skip. It could have just been sent to the convoy.
  12. Every single pairing that has a potential A-support has a unique paired ending. The order that you get the A-supports in does not matter. What matters is the amount of support points total that you have between the characters, which is reflected in the "close allies" tab on the roster. For example, at the end of my Golden Deer Route, I had the following listed as my "close allies" (hidden for length and any characters where I did not get an A-support in parenthesis): With this set-up, I chose to S-Support Manuela. This gave me the following pairings: There are some interesting things here that someone can use to work out to get some sense of the priority. For instance, in the above file, I received the endings for Ignatz-Ingrid and Raphael-Lysithea despite the fact that Raphael-Ignatz does indeed have a paired ending, Raphael-Ignatz had more support points than either of the two pairings that I did get endings for, and I definitely obtained the Raphael-Ignatz A-support before both of the other two pairings that resulted in endings. The only way that this could have happened is if Lysithea or Ingrid had "priority" to choose their ending before Ignatz or Raphael. The endings come (as usual) during the battle summary, and I can confirm that the number of battles/victories does not affect the priority since Raphael and Ignatz both had more battles and victories than Lysithea and Ingrid, and so they would have chosen each other if they did have priority.
  13. They will appear automatically if you have the necessary characters recruited. Therefore, Dedue’s paralogue will always appear on the Blue Lions route.
  14. Is there a list of crest items that are unlocked? If not, after completing Golden Deer, I received the following automatically: Thorn Dragon, Wind Dragon, Bloom Dragon, Craft Dragon, Kalpa Dragon, Ice Dragon, Storm Dragon. Lightning Dragon, Dark Dragon, Star Dragon, and Snow Dragon
  15. He will automatically join you on certain routes after Chapter 11 (no need to recruit him or anything). If he's playable on your route, you can't miss him.
  16. Only certain supports are time-locked. Most of the time, if you get at least a C-support before the time-skip, you’re fine. We’re still working out which supports are time-sensitive or not.
  17. In any class that can use magic, you can use both reason and faith. The main difference is the class skills, which are geared toward supporting one type or the other. So, it’s up to you. It’s very difficult to get anything beyond a B-level if you aren’t focusing on it for the majority of the game, so I would try and focus on one or the other. That said, it is perfectly viable to keep him in Warlock or Bishop until the end of the game. It is used to repair certain high level weapons.
  18. That is a great observation. The fact that it’s a percentage chance would explain so, so much.
