  1. How should I be upgrading my Fortress? My Fortress (O) is LV.2 right now, Fortress (D) is LV.1. What about upgrading Aether Amphorae? It's at LV.2 (150 aether storage) right now. I have 1400 dew at the moment, so I could do one Fortress and the Amphorae right now, but should I be saving the dew for something else?
  2. Well, I actually won a match last night, and now I see why you guys say to avoid armors in AR. When I first saw this opponent, I was intimidated because I though they were all heavy hitters, but I was able to just roll through them 😁 Even without a dedicated buffer for Tharja, she did work with the help of L!Azura and never even got into vantage range. Aversa really helped with the debuffs too because of how the enemies were all right next to each other. Thanks you guys for letting dumb me that you can have multiple teams ready to go and switch after you see what you're up against, can't believe I didn't realize that. I'm back into T14 after my recent string of losses, I think I need 280 lift to crack T15 and get my free B!Ike. It could happen this week. Also, I now have over 300 aether stones. What should be my priority in building? Is adding a 5th slot on my defense team the most important? Or some sort of structure (offense or defense)?
  3. I understand that high merges are needed for the higher tier play, but does that mean I should to wait until I have 10 copies before promoting/building? Or is it fine to start and add to the unit once fodder is summoned? Like you mention Sharena. I'm sure she's a good unit, but DC is really hard to come by (I'm not a whale), is there no way to start building her so she's better until DC becomes available? Or do I just forget building any more units and just use what I have already at 5*? I have a few copies of Tharja and Cherche, should I just spend the feathers on them to add merges? I figured -Res wouldn't be great, since I was told my +Res F!Tiki was the one to keep. I only have the one copy of Nowi at the moment.... Why does Nowi make a better tank than Idunn? Is it her color? Or just that she's in the 4* pool for easier merges?
  4. Yeah, looking at it now, I feel really silly. It was pretty obvious, wasn't it? Anyway, I won my second match tonight, although I did lose one unit. It's just gonna come down to me playing a lot of matches and trying to learn from each one I guess. I need to start doing practice matches against the friend list, I always forget. I really enjoy building units, I like that it gives me a set goal to work towards on a small level. I just have a fear of spending feathers inefficiently. Who should I build first? Cordelia (+Spd -HP), Eliwood (+Spd -HP) for Galeforce, or Nowi (+Atk -Res) for a tank? What's the best way to spend feathers for now?
  5. Well, my first match of the season didn't go so great. Mareeta got taken out right away because I stupidly used her to take out the healing tower, and then that opened her up to be attacked by Eldigan next turn. Mareeta did 0 damage to him and he killed her in two shots. Eir and Veronica did 0 damage to any of the enemy units, so there was nothing I could do with them. The only unit of mine that could do anything was Forsyth. I know you guys said not to use him, but since he's a bonus unit I figured he'd get a shot. The only other 5* bonus unit I have his week is Python, but Forsyth was so great for me last week in arena. He took out Eldigan in one turn, and Gwendolyn in two turns with Azura's help. He had no chance against Robin. What could I have done differently against this guy? Attached is a pic of my raiding parties, would any other others have been better? Sorry for the basic questions, but I'm trying to learn. Figures, I put Caineghis on my defense team last week because I thought he might be a good tank, and he did absolutely nothing for me. Here, none of my units could touch him πŸ˜•
  6. I don't know why I'm posting this here, but I'm confused and happy at the same time. Walking through Walmart list night my wife says, "hey, they have the Pokemon Switch Lite in stock", so I think cool, I like that one but since I already have a hacked OG Switch I didn't really need a Switch Lite. I do like the color scheme of the limited version, but I have no interest in Pokemon at all. But looking at the box inside the display case, I notice a big yellow clearance sticker. Huh? This think just came out last Friday I think, and Nintendo products almost never go on sale. OMG, half off??? $100? Wow, it's a no-brainer at that price. So I quickly get a clerk to get it out for me so I can buy it ASAP. When I told him I wanted to get a Switch out of the case, he seemed to instantly know which one I was talking about. I asked him if they had any more, but he said they already sold the others earlier in the day. So why the hell was the brand new, limited console sold for half price? Am I missing something? I haven't paid much attention to Switch Lite news, but a quick Google search finds nothing about the $100 deal. My wife wants me to sell it and make a nice profit, but I'm debating keeping it. I kinda wanted a second Switch that isn't hacked so I can play a few games online, namely Three Houses (I want my free Byleth in FEH) plus I'm sure my wife will want her own Switch once the new Animal Crossing comes out. So I don't know what to do yet. Has anybody else seen this deal at Walmart? Or is just at this one particular store only?
  7. I figured Cordelia would be the cheapest option if Mareeta doesn't work out (although I think she still might). Looking at my barracks, maybe Eliwood would be my best cav choice if I went that route? He is -HP +Spd. I like Ares too, but it seems like he is better as a vantage unit, not galeforce?
  8. So I started playing around with my 4* Cordelia last night, just leveling her up a bit in the training tower and earning some SP. She seems pretty cool, I don't hate her. So maybe I should promote to 5* and start building her as my possible Galeforcer? What build would be good for her in AR?
  9. Wow @XRay, that's a lot of good info. Thank you. I'll start working on creating a player phase team you suggested, seems more affordable at the moment (remember, I've been playing for a little over a month so far). But I will keep your enemy phase ideas in mind going forward though. I would like to get a second Eir, but can start working on Aversa now though. Regarding Tharja, I already planned to give her Savage Blow ASAP as I've been farming feathers with an auto clicker. I'd prefer Res Smoke, but that isn't happening unless I get a lucky summon. I've already refined her tome with the effect (-4 Atk/Spd during combat), and I'm about 100 dew short of being able to refine again after recently doing M!Corrin's Yato. I do have enough coins to get started on the Brazen Atk/Spd seal though. I should also have a Reposition available for her. As for a second dancer, you suggested green Azura (I have young Azura, is that who you mean?), but I do have a +1 Reyson who already has WoM. Should I just use him? I also have a 4* Reyson so I could have a +2 one very soon (unless it's better overall to have two Reyson's on one team). My L!Azura also has WoM, so I just need to give her a better A skill and a dance seal. Mareeta already comes with Flashing Blade 4, so she'll keep that until I can afford something better in the A slot and give her the seal. If Mareeta doesn't work out as my Galeforcer, can I use Cherche as a flying Galeforcer? She already has it and I have quite a few copies of her for merges. If so, how should I equip her? Her refine adds panic, right? Is that useful for a Galeforce unit? I'd assume she'd want the Heavy Blade seal. Right now she has Death Blow 3 and Quick Riposte, so I think I'd need to revamp her kit. Her Axe is a brave axe, so do those two hits use two cooldowns towards Galefore, or just one? And yeah, I do buy the special orb packs but last week I went a little silly trying to get a second H!Hector and I really wanted a H!Myrrh so I also bought the $75 pack. Only ended up with a 5* Swordhardt, Ryoma, and a second copy of H!Mia. It wasn't a good feeling 😨
  10. Oh, cool. I didn't realize you could do that. I think I only have the one team setup. I'll have to come up with a few different ones. Is best to have a core of three units that are the same, then mix up the other two slots to cover different things? I guess I could wait for a Camilla, but I don't know when I'll be summoning again after spending too much money the last two weeks. I think I can get addicted to the gatcha and it could be dangerous πŸ˜•
  11. Thanks. I'll have to see what I have for armor slaying. I know I don't have a Micaiah πŸ˜• There's no way to update your team comp once you see the enemy units, right? So I guess my issue is assembling a team that can check common threats. Now I kinda regret using my only CC fodder on Tharja because of the need for a buffer. Would have probably been better on a different unit. I can just use L!Azura, but then she can't help anybody else. I guess that's better than wasting a slot on Corrin. I actually am going to put Savage Blow on Tharja as I do have a few spare 4* Bantu. It's just a matter of spending the 20k feathers. Are there any other C skill I could use temporally that is available on a 4* unit?
  12. I'm feeling really dejected. I won a match yesterday and that moved me to T14, so almost at T15 so I can complete the Heroes Path quests finally. I had enough aether to do two matches today, and I got absolutely stomped twice in a row. I was able to only kill one unit each map, and they were both towards the end after it was clear I was gonna lose. First team was all armors w/ a healer. My buffed Tharja did 0 damage when initiating, and 0 damage countering. Only H!Hector was able to take down a green armor before he was surrounded by blues and had no chance. The second map was all mages (only 4 of them!). I wasted turns trying to to have Tharja step on a bolt trap and get into vantage range and of course I picked the fake one, but at least she was no next to a bolt tower. Well turn 3 rolls around and it didn't hit her. I guess I really need to figure out the proper range πŸ˜• I couldn't get my Galeforce into range, even with smite. It was just a disaster. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, at all. I'm sure my team comp is bad. What could I have done against either of these teams, if anything? Or who should I have on my team instead of what I have? I love my cc/vantage Tharja, but am annoyed I have to waste a slot on Corrin to keep her effective because I don't think he can hold his own unfortunately. Also, on defense I've been attacked 5 times this week, and lost every one. Only was able to kill two foes across all the matches. I'm just getting really frustrated, sorry to vent
  13. So should I leave FB4 as her A skill until I have the coins to get FB3? Or should I just give her Quickened Pulse seal for now? And you're right, I always forget about the extra move on Tiki's C skill. I wasn't thinking about armor scoring for Forsyth, just the fact that he seems really hard to kill. But I will take your advice and avoid armors.
  14. I understand what you are saying, but a big part of the enjoyment of FEH is using characters that I like. They have to have good art and especially voice acting, some units just annoy me so much I'll never want to use them. Not saying Cordelia or Navarre are like that, but I really like Mareeta a lot so if she can work, I'd like to do that even if it's not 100% ideal. Maybe that's the wrong attitude, but it's a game and should bring some enjoyment, right? Thanks for the tips on Mareet'as build. I do have L&D and Darting Blow fodder, so that's good. I don't have enough coins to get Flashing Blade seal higher than level 1 at the moment, but I will make that a priority. Thanks for the links. I'm familiar with both Pheonixmaster1 and Akariss, just this morning I watched the one where Akariss interviewed PM1, LOL. I especially enjoy watching Akariss, although his info seems more geared to higher tiers I still try and adsorb the info. I'm looking forward to checking out the links you suggested. I haven't tried a mock battle yet as I always forget about it, but I will do so ASAP. Right now I have the Armored Boots seal on H!Hector, but would I be better off putting it on F!Tiki and leaving Hector as more of a backline support unit with his Duo Skill to chip all enemies? Also, I mentioned it earlier but what about Forsyth? I'm using him in Arena this week because bonus unit, and he's killed everything and never died. Never been below 20hp between his prf weapon and Noontime special. I think he has like 70 Atk. My arena tier is low, only T17 at the moment, but would he translate into AR? At least in the lower tiers I'm in now?

  16. Thanks for the info, it is helpful. Unfortunately I spent a lot of my stones on useless stuff before I realized I'd have to spend stones on extra slots once I hit a high enough tier. I thought it was automatic once I got high enough. I wish I never bought Duo's Indulgence on defense because I didn't realize the AI never uses H!Hector's duo skill in the first place. I didn't read the description close enough, it prevents the enemy from using the duo skill not give you an extra use like it does on offense. Right now I'm saving up for the extra slot, but the ladder upgrade will probably be second. I'm going to make Mareeta my Galeforce unit because I really like the character and her prf weapon and Flashing Blade 4 seems perfect for it. What else should i give her? Quickened Pulse seal? I have two of her at the moment, +HP -Res & +Def -Spd. Should I merge her or save one for fodder? How would I use her in AR? Do I engage with her right away along with CC/Vantage Tharja, or send her in by herself? Are there any recommended videos I should watch to get some tactics ideas?
  17. I do have a 4* Nowi (+Atk -Res), is it worth investing the feathers into her as opposed using F!Tiki (I have two of her, so I could merge) or Idunn?
  18. I would love to build more CC/Vantage units, but of course I have no fodder. I'd like to build a Kronya or Kagero, I've seen them in a few AR videos doing well. I've been pulling colorless when it makes sense hoping for a Takumi but I know that's a longshot. I haven't invest too much yet, except for stuff like giving WoM to a few support units (L!Azura, H!Mia, Reyson) and a Cherche I started building early on because I liked the character (she kinda looks like my wife πŸ˜„). She is +Atk and has Galeforce, Death Blow 3, & Quick Riposte 1, but I haven't refined her axe yet due to how scarce dew is and the fact that I don't use her very much because I didn't find her as effective as other units. Can she be fixed, or should I give up and find other Galefore units? Maybe Mareeta? Or are ranged units better for Galeforce? I seem to have quite a few armor units, so what should I look for in a supertank? I don't see Forsyth talked about much, but I'm using him in arena this week because he's a bonus unit and he hasn't gone down once yet and is able to take all the kills. I gave him Death Blow 3, QR3 seal, and Noontime which in conjunction with his PRF weapon keeps his HP topped up all the time.
  19. I don't have Naga, but I do have Eir. So she should be on the team no matter what season? I think most of my team is light blessed and used Eir before, I guess that's why I had more potential lift last week? What should I do during Astra? I don't have enough blessings to change all the time, so if you or anybody else could suggest a team comp to bless Astra that would be appreciated. I posted screen shots of my roster earlier in the thread, but would it be easier f I typed up a list? Thanks for the clarification on Corrin. I was leaning towards +Spd, but am always worried about making the wrong choice when spending that many feathers. I will keep an eye out for a +Res one in the future though

My current team is: H!Hector (Armored Boots) Reyson +1 (Spd) (WoM) F!Tiki (Aether) Tharja +1 (Spd) w/3 Flowers (CC/Vantage/Threaten Atk 2/Quickened Pulse) Running Miracle now, but can can switch to Glimmer L!Azura (WoM/Iote's Shield) Last night I got totally wrecked by a guy who had a pretty smart map layout. I need to remember to take a screen shot when I come across effective map design so I can try on my defense team. I did win a match today, but I lost two units and only broke one aether pot so I only got 60 lift (out of only 100 possible). Part of the problem is I'm not sure what to do about blessings. I don't think any of my team is blessed right for this week. I'm still not clear on how that all works, and I know that's hurting me. Last week my team had a potential of 130 or 140 lift, but I don't remember who I was using. On a different note, I think I want to promote M!Corrin and build him to support Tharja while double SP is going on. I also have around 230 dew, so I can refine his Yato right away. I did summon a second Corrin last night, so I'm not sure which IV to promote and use first. I will eventually merge him, but not right away so the feathers can be used elsewhere. So which would be better, -Atk +Def or -Def +Spd?

I'll be back later for more discussion and questions about AR when I have more time, but I just wanted to pop in real quick and say last night while spending way too many orbs trying for another H!Hector before the banner went away, I ended up with 3 extra Cain's, lol. WoM for everybody! πŸ˜‹ At least my L!Azura and freshly merged +1 Reyson have it now. And no, I didn't end up with another Duo Hector of course, I was pity broken by H!L'Arachel when no red orbs came up my last summoning session 🀬 Not the end of the world because one of my FEH goals is to collect all the Halloween units (my favorite holiday), and I didn't have any green mage cavs yet. Also ended up with a shiny new Hubert, my first 3H unit (beside Kronya, but she's a bad guy so doesn't count, lol) so that's cool. Although I already have a red mage powerhouse in Tharja, so I guess I'll only use him in AA or something... Man, only two 5* in 150+ orbs has to be my worst rate since I started playing this game 😒
  22. Also, I need to give some of my most used units some positioning skills, but I'm unsure who should get what. I need someone to have smite to push Tharja closer to the action. I Was thinking about F!Tiki because she doesn't want anyone next to her when the next turn starts to activate her C skill. Would that be good? What about Duo Hector? Swap or Reposition? Or something else? I was planning to +10 my Cherche so I have a few copies of Pivot lying around.
  23. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I'm not sure why I didn't think to give L!Azura WoM before now. A few days ago I gave it to H!Mia and it seems like a really helpful skill, even better on a dancer/buffer. Now I need to decide if I should take it from my first and only 4* Cain that I summoned yesterday, or spend the 20k feathers to get it from one of the 4 Frederick combat manuals I have. Not sure if I want to start foddering my only copy of a unit so early in my game playing career, lol. I guess feathers aren't too hard to farm at the moment, I do you an auto clicker overnight. As for Tharja, I don't have any regular Camillas for Savage Blow, but I do have 2 Bantu combat manuals, so again I'd need to decide if that's worth the 20k. I think I'd rather spend the feathers unlocking 5* of some units that would be of more help. I only have 1 M!Corrin at the moment who is -Atk +Def, is he worth spending on until I summon better IVs? As for supertanks, does F!Tiki qualify? Since I summoned her I feel see's been one of my best units. I haven't done much with her besides giver her Noontime (and more recently Aether) to keep her HP up and it seems to work ok. Although Noontime seem to work better with its shorter cooldown, but I haven't used Aether long enough to tell yet honestly. I do have a second copy of her that I want to merge, I'm just not sure which IV is better for her. +Atk or +Res? What's the best way to use H!Mia? Just attack the units with the lowest cooldown displayed at the time? I did refine her weapon (dazzling eff.), so she can reset their special but if I leave her in range of almost anybody decent she's dead because she is kinda weak and frail.
  24. I hope this is the right place to ask, but I'm struggling with AR and could use some help. I'm a fairly new player (1-2 months), but I'm obsessed with this game so I want to improve as much as possible. I'm low tier in AR (13 at the moment), and it seems like progress is slow. I'd at least like to hit T15 ASAP so I can finish the heroes path quest. I'm still not clear on which units to use for offense and defense, and how to use my blessings. I don't think I've ever won a defense map, and on offense I can get wins but not getting enough lift. Can somebody take a look at my roster and suggest a few teams that will help me move up, as well as letting me know who to bless with what? Most of my units are default builds, though I have started to invest in SI a bit but only have one CC/Vantage user (and no more CC fodder) and one Galeforce unit so far. Let me know if you have any questions about a particular unit and I'll let you know what skills they have (or don't have, lol). I'm mostly F2P, but usually do buy the monthly orb pack deals. I plan on saving orbs for the Mythic banner later this month, but I may have to drop some money on orbs soon because I blew my wad on the Legendary banner last week. Tharja is my CC/Vantage unit and she dominates most PVE maps, so I'm hoping she'll be good for AR, but I'm not having much luck so far. I guess it comes down to using her effectively. What's the best way to safely get her into vantage range? Should I build a dedicated buff partner for her to keep her bladetome doing effective damage? I usually make sure L!Azura has danced her before she engages, but that's not always possible. Thinking about promoting either Seth/Titania, (M)Corrin, or Marth. Or maybe Odin or Mae? Or is that a waste of time for AR? I have around 95k feathers saved up for promotions/SI So what teams should I put together to start making progress? Just looking for a point in the right direction πŸ˜‰ My defense team only has 4 slots, I'm about 150 stones short of being able to add the 5 th😞 EDIT: I do have 323 grails at the moment, so if there are any grail units that would be a big help, I can grab one or more Roster should be behind spoiler tags to not be so annoying to those who don't care (if I did it right)
