    Uhhh. . .

Failure can help you to grow, assuming you learn from the mistake.  Winning feels good, but like failure, it's far more helpful if you know what went right.  Sometimes, what you think is a failure is a win, and vice versa.

In other words, failing and learning > winning and learning >> winning and not learning > failing and not learning.  IMO it's more important to analyze the outcome.

You know, I think I finally get you. Took a while, but now I can see you in a new light.

  2. As a man who took so many L' s in life, at some point you just get numb to it. You fail so mush that wining one doesn't actually feel good or rewarding. But if you win more then you lose it should feel so devastating, you work harder to never feel failure again. ( I don't really know tho, since I never win.)

So i'm going to say winning helps you grow more, but what do you peeps think?

This will be up for 3 Day, go crazy!

Let's pretend that you said. . .well, something, and I wasn't happy about it.  It's okay if I'm unhappy about it.  It's not okay if I told everyone that you know that you're a terrible person.

Thus, the issue isn't the disappointment, it's how it's handled.  And in this case. . .this is the wrong way to deal with it.

    ok

To that, I have to wonder. What exactly were the options do you see that you seem to think she could have taken? If you think she's an idiot, you must think there's some "simple" solution, right?

Rhea wants society to remain dependent on Crests, nobles, and the goddess pre-redemption, the Agarthans are in control of the Empire, said Agarthans can take on the forms of other people so your ability to trust people is severely limited, your ideas oppose what is seen as common sense to society, and you may or may not be suffering from shortened lifespan.

Because working with the people THAT KILLED MY WHOLE FAMILY seems extreme to me. Edelgard may have"justifiable" ideas, but the plan to keep these ideas going long term are lacking. Like i said Crest give superpowers and  people are not just going to stop vaulting something just because there dictator said no, as history has shown.

Hmm I'm obviously not a mod, but you probably should put the second pic within a spoilers box or something and warn people about it as well. More to the point, as horrifying as what happened to Edelgard is, your general points above don't really make an argument against people with the outlook of @twilitfalchion or @JubileePhoenix - their point, I believe, is nothing can justify doing wrong or evil deeds, including one's past or one's cause. Obviously not everyone has to feel that way about her character, but it's perfectly legitimate to think like that, and no amount of discussing Edelgard's own suffering would convince such people that she is entitled to commit deeds they consider are morally wrong. They can still have pity for her past, I imagine, without being able to get behind her as a character.

This is what I believe to an extent. You can justify doing stupid things to yourself all day, it’s your life have fun.  When you do wrong to other people is when you become kind of an asshole.

Also I don’t side with Rhea because she does some shady shit. And I don’t side with Edelgard because she’s an idiot.

For me, I can’t empathize with either Rhea or Edelgard because I believe, as an old teacher of mine used to say: “It is never right to do wrong to do right.” Rhea hoping that Byleth would merge with Sothis to bring her mother back was incredibly selfish, and Rhea’s totalitarian mindset over the Church of Seiros was very similar to the Roman Catholic Church of the Middle Ages in its eradication of any heretics or opponents. It’s the same with Edelgard, who, in her quest for power, chose to disregard innocent human lives as secondary to her quest to be the Emperor. Both of these individuals had good intentions at best, but their amoral execution of these objectives destroyed any credibility they might have had, in my opinion. There’s no justice in either of their actions, only the blatant expression of their selfish motivations.

Admittedly, I’m more of a black-and-white kind of person when it comes to morality, so this probably influenced my perspective the most.

    My thoughts exactly.

  7. Ok first off justice and revenge are very different depending on culture and the law of where you live. There is no cookie cutter definition on them.

And of course Rhea didn’t move on because of trauma and low self-esteem. No matter what she did in Rhea’s eyes she will never be as good as her mother. That’s way she spends centuries finding a way to bring Sothis back to life. Now this lead to crests being overvalued and all that jazz because Rhea did nothing; watch you can blame her for.

Also something to point out she could have killed the 10 elites decencies after the war  or whenever but decided not to for reason. Something that a person with revenge on their mind probably wouldn’t have done.

Ok so I don’t know how it feels to live with trauma. Let alone living with the trauma Rhea has for centuries eating away at your mind year after year. At that point I would just want to die, but that’s me.  Also here’s a tip, when making an argument it’s a good idea to pick the center point of said argument about something you know. I have no experience with trauma and don’t have any mental illness, so me picking that as my center point of an argument is like trying to swim in lava, it’s not going to work.  Saying just get over your trauma is super weak. “Oh, your brother committed suicide? Your get over in in a few years you will be fine.” See how unrealistic that sounds?

By the way you talk about how Rhea should get over her trauma, but you never said how she could have.

Now I’m not going to be like eclipse and tell you to rethink your whole damn life. I just think you have a leak of experience. Do your research! There’s a reason you learn how to do an argument in research class.

Hate to tell you but Edelgard loses in her route to. To think the importance of crest will just go away is poor logic. Last time I checked crest give fucking super powers and the ability to use super broken weapons. Edelgrad rule will last until she dies then everything begins anew.

    Dr. Pepper.

How do you live your life knowing you like the taste malted candy corn, mix with dog shit then thrown in a freezer and left there for 50 year, only to get the taste of bland?

I like Coke, but Pepsi is okay.  Oddly enough, if I'm in the mood for cherry cola, I like Cherry Pepsi better than Cherry Coke

Cherry Pepsi taste like lemur piss bladed with blue cheese and pop rocks. Compering the two is like compering God to an ant.

Red is the superior color because it represents the blood of our dead enemies.

    All hail Coke!

Exactly! How can you not support the blood of our dead enemies if your a fire emblem fan? ...also blue is the best color i just like coke better.

Definitely Coke. Pepsi is comparable to sticking your tongue in the sugar bowl. Although Diet Coke is the true drink of champions. But I don’t drink any of them for my health’s sake. Water and coffee all the way.

I'm not a fan of Diet soda, but some people well die buried with it.

If you think a juice made from the gods is the same as 100 year old milk in the Sahara desert mix with clam juice is the same, then I don't know what to tell ya.
