  1. I want so see some time put into Fiona. That's the purpose of voting right, to try and use characters that wouldn't normally be used in a playthough. mix things up a bit.
  2. The random multi part chapter here has always confused me. It seemed pointless to include since this isn't any major climactic battle (ok the first one of the liberation army but still really not that important in the overall game). The first part serves no plot related purpose and is just a gameplay addition (which is fine but it just seems so random to only have one here out of the entire game). It seems like they just added it to introduce the concept in the game so they could use it for the final chapter. Which in reality also provides to be pointless in splitting it up like that. Absolutely noting would have been lost if the last five parts of the game where actual chapters instead of one chapter split up into completely distinct parts. I always though the Tower of Guidance should have been part 5 of the game (5 is just a nicer number than 4) and have part 4 end with taking back Sienne, the capital. I was disappointed that wasn't an actual chapter. Oh and I want to see Fiona in the next map.
  3. What other Manaketes have been mentioned though. As a plot device will they play a big role in this game?
  4. So whats the word on Manaketes in this game? I know Naga is part of the lore and that Tiki will make a return (which is awesome I love Tiki) but I haven't heard anything else regarding them. I'm hoping for a couple more playable Manaketes, most games just leave it with the Tiki archetype, I'd like to see more playable Manaketes and a wider use of Dragon Stones available to the player. Lets us have two or three manaketes and several different types of Dragon Stones for magical and ranged attack as well as the standard become super powerful. What are your opinions on Manaketes and what is the latest word on their appearance?
  5. They were Barons? I assumed they were generic Generals. I managed to by pass all of them and seize the castle with Celice and a Leg Ring. Ueually I'd go for the experience but it was the final chapter so I didn't bother.
  6. Experience on the field would probably do it. Characters don't start off with their 20/20 stats. Anyway what I meant by that comment mostly was that in a series where people can throw fire balls so casually using books (that have a certain amount of uses?) we can hand wave some practicalities. Was there any Barons that wielded a tome and weapons? I'm not sure about their stats which probably were even being bosses but I can't recall any that did actually use weapons and magic. Not that it makes a different though since they could. Still though a non playable class makes the whole point moot.
  7. How does one become proficient in magical ability in the first place?
  8. I just remembered that Naesala can use a magic wind attack in Path of Radiance. Is that useful? I haven't played PoR so I don't first hand. I heard it was bad but looking at his stats it seems like it could be quite useful.
  9. I did think about Elincia when making this but she only has 30% strength growth (not bad but still her second lowest and out balanced when compared to her 80% magic growth). Still though she does get an awesome sword for physical attacking so I guess it's not all that bad. Actually scratch that I was looking at her FE9 stats, Yeah she has a 65% 40% which is pretty balanced.
  10. Haven't played 12 but can the female mage my unit use any sort of physical weapon? I thought it would just be a standard mage -> sage.
  11. So a question. In pretty much every Fire Emblem game I've played characters will always level up in either strength or magic never both. I can think of no characters off the top of my head who have good strength and magic stats (without having hugely superior stats across the board). The developers seem to have realized this too when it came to making the Gameboy Advance games but instead of making some characters who could be mildly good at both they decided to make strength and magic pretty much the same stat. I feel like it waste some of the potential of what could be diverse classes and weapons. Like Mage Knigths. Monted Magic and swords wielders sounds great when you first see it but for the most part their swords are useless unless your using a magic sword which in turn is useless for most standard sword users. The Levian Sword just seemed useless in Shadow Dragon without reclassing someone specially to use it. Is this a big a problem as I think it is and does anybody else think it's something that maybe should be addressed. I'm not asking all units to be capable in both I'd just like to see maybe some units able to use both magic and physical attacks. Like a mercenary who actually can effectively use a magic sword.
  12. Wow you have some awesome level ups. Also provided some thoughtful insights. While I don't agree with a lot of the complaints I do agree that having the capture sequence at the end of Chapter 1 would have fitted a lot better than having a chapter 2. The presence of the wolves stopping the medallion also makes a lot of sense. I always thought it was a combination of two brutal wars in a row that did it ( a three year hiatus being noting to immortals). I also wonder from the comment on Micaiahs brand whether Edward, Nolan and Leonardo know about it. Is this ever mention anywhere in game or otherwise?
  13. I never considered that possibility for a second but now that I think about it that would make a lot of sense. I mean Ashnard must have been enticed into getting the medallion by someone and having an already established character rather then some randomer would make a lot of sense. (Heh personally I always assumed it was a disguised Ashnard which is quite ridiculous when you think about it)
  14. The lack of spaces was a copy and paste fail. It just seemed to have randomly removed spaces all over the place. I will edit it later to try and make it more bearable to read.
  15. No he defiantly didn't plan the Serenes Massacre. That was the biggest thing that prompted him to end all life.
  16. Imagine using the current game engines to recreate that as one HUGE trial map filling in the blanks.
  17. Didn't he say he lied to her very little, just withheld the truth and told a single big lie. What is that single big lie?
  18. Another small question here. Is Spehiran's immortality a result of being a Heron or is it a gift from Ashera? And I feel I should also note that according to his conversation with Haar he did try to make changes in Bengnion as prime minster but the senate rejected them. Which implies he didn't suddenly become world hating after the massacre and tried peaceful ways of changing the world at first.
  19. Ok here is version 3.0 I've replaced the Sailor with a Bandit which branches into two strains. I've also labeled how characters actually promote to each class. As always all response is welcome.
  20. I thought Gra and Altea were both founded by Anri's brothers after he died childless. heh and I entirely forgot about Elice even when bringing up the point of other princesses using the Aum staff. I guess branding it as male covers all holes still though it would have been kind of cool if both Elice and Sheema could use it too.
  21. f you class change Sheema could she use the Falchion? She is a descendant from Anri's brother just like Marth. It would be a really great touch on the designers part if you could. They did allow all the princesses to use the Aum staff after all. However they did screw up by making Aura a female only weapon instead of unique to Linde. Can someone check this for me since the game is still Japan only. Grr.
  22. It also seemed as if not for Daein's reconstruction Rafiel would have told the rest of the Laguz the truth a lot sooner. I mean he was pretty much dependent on Nailah for survival and she seemed to have randomly decide to waste time by helping these strangers take back a country she knew noting about. Lekain also gleefully takes full credit for the blood pact and awakening of the Goddess even though he knew noting about the medallion. So if he really was manipulating them it would have to have been behind their backs but still even if he did know exactly how the senate would react it didn't seem like he had to do much. Just send Zelgius to Daein (when at that point it didn't really look like Daein needed any more help, perhaps he was hoping the appearance f the Black Knight would stir up some more trouble, that or the Black Knight had been watching Miciah for several chapters and only choose to appear when she was in real danger). Later send Zelgius to battle the Laguz which would be the logical reaction of any leader regardless of their motives.
  23. Due to the nature of this thread it will have Major Spoilers about pretty much the entire plot of Radiant Dawn and a portion of Path of Radiance. So just a spoiler warning if you haven't played them yet. I understand Sephiran enticed Ashnard to carry out all his misdoings in Path of Radiance but what part did he play in Radiant Dawn? The war that nearly woke Yune was started by the Laguz. They were the aggressors, Bengnion were just defending themselves. And manipulating Daein to join the conflict. That seemed a lot more like the work of the senate. Was Sephiran really manipulating the people who caused the Serenes Massacre, ie the reason he's become so intent on erasing humanity. And if so what was the point of having himself arrested? It seems like all Sephiran did in Radiant Dawn is get arrested, wait for everybody else to free Ashera and then go and serve her. Pretty much exactly the same as Dheginsea.
