  1. I use Rajajon Red, so this doesn't really affect me. I just checked it out though, and it is pretty cool.
  2. He's okay. Helpfully, he has decent bases; his SPD in particular is nice in comparison to fellow tiger Mordecai. He comes with a Demi Band, so obviously there is an immediate dilemma with him; keep it on him and have him be mostly average at all times, or have him face the usual laguz problem instead; be pretty great for a few turns and then total dead weight for a few more. He's not bad, but the thing is, if you wanted to use a laguz and stand up to their ups and downs, odds are you've already been training Lethe or Mordecai. While his Demi Band means he doesn't have to face the class' sometimes-damaging ebb and flow, it also means, as I stated before, he'll be barely clawing his way out of the moniker of "meh"; as a result, there are better units you could be using than him in that case, particularly with the low-MT claws and fangs of laguz. He's certainly usable, but certainly imperfect. 6/10
  3. Tormod can be pretty effective, but even with the boost Celerity gives him, it takes a good amount of effort to put him into action. He comes at level 7 with bases similar to Ilyana's when she joined... 7 chapters ago (comparing them offensively, he has 2 more base MAG, one less SKL, and equal SPD; defensively, he has 2 more LCK, 1 more DEF, and 1 less RES). His growths are fairly good; 45% MAG and 45% SPD means he can improve pretty quickly with some BEXP. But it's the question of how MUCH BEXP. At LV7, it will probably take a 5-level-minimum boost to make him even somewhat comparable to the competition he'll be facing. That's 500 BEXP down the drain. To make him comparable to your party, you're going to have shoot him high into Tier 1 levels, perhaps even 20/1 depend on how much training and BEXP everyone has gotten. Let's figure this as 1000+ BEXP. Even if you've been playing pretty efficiently... ow. It is a pro for him that his 8 MOV keeps him up with the rest of your party despite a lack of Canto, but he's a back-line attacker, so. Also, he can use staves upon promotion; despite a starting D-rank, it's still something. However, he takes a LOT of BEXP to go up to speed with the rest of your party in levels, and even if Soren is a bit difficult to train at first, at least it's moderately easy to do that in the earlygame with easy enemies. A good amount of the time, I prefer that to the BEXP burn that Tormod is, since they end up fairly similar anyways. 5.5/10
  4. Mediocre combat with C swords, and she has generally poor growths so it's not really going anywhere if you bother babying her. All she has going for her is mounted healing; which, in actuality, is fairly useful since she comes with a Relive. She is somewhat useful, but still her potential is very limited; I guess if you really want her to see combat she does okay with magic swords, but there are better candidates for those. 4.5/10 Also, I like how Fin's Gen I and Gen II scores were almost identical, with Gen II being barely lower. Dat Fin, always steady.
  5. Shouldn't Shinon be 3.00? A sword-locked foot unit who comes a bit late and is sort of annoying to recruit. But HOLY GOD IN HEAVEN LOOK AT THOSE STATS. His durability is only average, and he does have some LCK issues, but come on. 25 SPD base + 55% growth in a game full of generally slow enemies. He's generally capable of dodging, and will do much doubling. 40% growth in SKL, oh wait, 27 base. He's a Swordmaster so his STR is low, oh wait, 19 base + 50% growth. And we can't forget about his instant Astra and S-rank in swords. He's hardly necessary, but he's some of the best filler you could ask for, really. 8/10 + 1 bias = 9/10
  6. A mounted Charismabot who can heal? Granted, she only has C staves and her MAG is pretty lacking unless you do something like Azel/Lachesis or Claude/Lachesis, but it's hard to pass up that prospect. With Beowulf, Dew, or Fin for a father, she can fight pretty effectively too, and she can use any non-holy sword even unpromoted, which is a huge bonus. Her start is a bit weak, but she's definitely strong when she gets going. 8/10 + 0.5 for Leaf/Nanna's d'awwness = 8.5/10
  7. EHM isn't really difficult, it's just irritating. (I.e. low EXP hauls, as Narshen said) Harder than HNM, in any case.
  8. His Gen I growths have trouble keeping up with the new and improved Gen II ones, even among the subs in some cases; his stats aren't really bad, but they're pretty average aside from LCK, and LOL LCK. But he is mounted, so that helps. If you leveled him a fair bit in Gen I then he's pretty crutch against that wave of Alster enemies at the start of C7, with Leaf and Nanna/Janne fairly weak at base. On the whole I would say he's imperfect, but decent. 6.5/10 + 1 bias = 7.5/10
  9. This is just my opinion, but why did you nerf Seth THAT badly? I would understand a severe growth nerf across the board, but that bad of a reduction of his bases, up against these enemies? Are you trying to make an FE8 Maniac Mode?
  10. Third'd. But I would not object to Hannibal Lester.
  11. Wow, I gave Sue and Zealot the same score. What. Good job, Integ. I'm also slightly surprised that Rutger beat Percival (I rated Miledy > Percival > Rutger excluding Rutger bias), even if I gave him a 10 with bias. I suppose jointime and early boss murder > MOV and WTD.
  12. This is the one main thing I wish this game changed, as it is more of a bother rather than a unique system apart from the rest of the series.
  13. I think he's a bit better than you guys are letting on. He's roughly on the level on Jaffar in FE7 if Jaffar was a bit slower. Granted, Jaffar didn't regularly face Wyvern Lords and Mamkutes, but he's at least competent endgame filler if you could use one more unit; Rutger at his point will almost definitely be faster but actually trends towards less STR/DEF/RES. He also can use insta-Durandal, which helps his performance against Mamkutes. 23 SPD is fairly low for Rutger or Fir at this point but is still pretty frickin' fast all considering. And it DOES help that his bases will almost surely increase by 1 across the board if he nails a level. Not the best you could do, but you could do worse. 5/10
  14. Echidna's image is pretty blurry and I tend to focus on the low-quality more than I do her pose or anything. This probably can't be helped. I don't like Fin or Sety's badges. They're both supposed to be calm and collected and they look like they're about to metaphorically explode.
  15. Yodel would be an effective staffbot and easily your best warper under normal circumstances, seeing as he has a high 19 MAG. The problem is, though I'll try not to factor it into my score, that Niime exists, and does his job better. This makes him inconsequential. Now that I've mentioned it though, I'll move on from it, since we should assume we're using the unit when rating them. And when you're focused on using him, Yodel isn't really bad. 19 MAG means he's still very much an effective healer, and an excellent choice for the Warp staff. He's the only character in the game who can use the Saint's Staff right out of the box with auto-S in staves; I wouldn't say that the Saint's Staff is enormously useful really, but it's certainly a good point for him that he can pull it out immediately. We've noted his good points as a staffbot. Now let's go to the bad. Read also; Yodel's combat. He's usable, but... he has 5 base DEF. His base HP is better than Niime's, but that's still horrible. Additionally, he has a mere 14 base SPD, so he probably isn't going to be doubling much at all. That high MAG could make him pack a serious punch; and it does, a bit; but he uses the weakest magic type, with high enough Hit to make his high 18 SKL fairly inconsequential. One good thing Yodel has going for him is he comes with a capped 30 RES, making him an uber magical tank; well, if you find the occasional situation where you need someone to clog a bottleneck of mages. Despite his mediocre combat, he can at least use a holy weapon soon if he sees a decent amount of combat, and while he won't be amazing, with some minor help he can kill. That's more than some other characters can say. Being a great lategame staffbot if we're disregarding a better option is also more than what others can say. 6.5/10 - .5 for arriving really late = 6/10
  16. I went for FE5, just because of its presentation problems which could be easily fixed through a remake. I don't know about FE4; I like it as much as the next guy, but I'd rather see remakes of games that actually might need one for the sake of accessibility and touch-ups to the writing and story (FE2 and maybe FE6 are viable). Though if an FE4 remake meant it would come to NA, then totally.
  17. Oh dear. Yuno. She looks pretty nice and her husband is Marcus 2, but she's sort of a wreck. She has a couple 30s in her growths (and I think like a 45% in LCK, but come on now it's LCK), but they're still pretty much obsolete. Her offensive bases are 11STR-14SKL-16SPD. Aw yeah this lady is killing loads and loads of poor scrubs. She's a Falcoknight, and they couldn't be bothered to at least beef her base SPD a little? On her joining chapter, she doubles armors, a couple archers and like one druid. And there's a good chance she's tinking armors unless you give her a Silver Lance. And she can use them, but are you going to bother giving one to her when Alance, Miledy, or Percival could be using it to actually kill loads and loads of poor scrubs? Let's not mention her 7 CON. I feel little need to go on to her 8 DEF-12 RES. Yuno has some level of potential to tote allies around, but you've already been given four fliers and, what, three Whips? At this point, she is an inconsequential utility unit with bad combat. Blah. 3/10
  18. I'm severely disappointed that Saleh's incredible art probably won't be on a badge. Well, it was a good run.
  19. I love how we let Konnor get Franz, Vanessa, and Moulder. I'm going to reserve from posting a log, if only because I'm not going to know much about my total turncount until the end of the game when they're counted up, seeing as I'm an idiot that forgot to check before seizing a few times.
  20. Niime packs a huge punch; her CON is kind of low so she might suffer minor AS loss from the Dark tomes she wields, and that hurts a little more considering her 16 SPD, but it doesn't matter all too much, because she has a huge 21 MAG and 20 SKL. Not only that, but she has an auto-A in both dark magic and staves. Although keep in mind that she is the base definition of "base unit"; she doesn't have a growth above 25%, and this is including HP. She's likely your Apocalypse user, and even has a decent shot at it if you trained Ray before her arrival. Not just that, but she can be an excellent late-game staffbot if you choose not to focus on her likely ORKO-filled combat versus physical opponents. She comes with Physic, and with it heals 31 HP a pop. Wowza. She can also Warp your units practically anywhere they wish to go on the map if you so choose. However, no matter if she'll be attacking from behind the front lines, her durability is pretty awful regardless. 25HP-5DEF at LV18, with essentially non-existent chances of improvement, is just plain bad. At least she's a magical tank. And an awesome heavy hitter/staffbot. 8/10
  21. Horace gets Saleh by default, then. There ends the drafting. Actually you have Ephraim for C8. ...Just Saiyan
  22. Grah, sorry to interrupt but I had tried to specifically set things up, taking Amelia, so that I would get Franz. I didn't account for all the variables T_T
