  1. Berserker should've been added to Three Houses and could be an Ultimate Class Axe + 4 Certificate Requirement: Axe (S Rank) Skills: Axefaire, Crit +30, Death Blow Mastery: Rally Strength Growths: 30% HP, 30% Str, 0% Mag, -5% Dex/skill, 20% Spd, 10% Def, 0% Res
  2. Ah true, I've stocked up on a few killer lances, but still, in my opinion they're outclassed by swords. Yeah the killer is the probably the best lance there my units still seem to have less dodge chances with lances as opposed to swords. And in this game especially, I prefer to have higher dodge chances than more power and the possibility to crit, since I am the only person who can have an 80%+ chance to crit, and I will not crit. both times. xD Yeah Alan kinda sucks. I benched him a long time ago to when he was sucking hard in the arena, it just wasn't worth it to me to train him. Lance is better due to higher skill and speed as opposed to higher strength and HP like Alan. Aaaand, I should've elaborated on that, my apologies. What I meant by it "from the beginning" is the very first Arena you encounter in the game, on CH 7, and being in the early levels of it (1 to 10). Most of my units couldn't handle it. And it only got worse to dang near impossible in the upper levels.
  3. Well, scratch that actually. After digging around all night I was blessed and lucky as heck to find my save file just appear out of thin air when I restarted the game! Honestly, I have no words for what happened, nor do I care now, because I am just thankful and relieved to have my saves back XD. My god that was terrifying. I have just had the most terrible luck with this game! Makes playing it even better I guess, since fate sure doesn't want me to. lol. But anyways, onto the topic at hand.... I've noticed this with the Arena in the Sacred Stones and Binding Blade. Hard mode seems to make it near impossible for certain units, I guess due to the randomness of it. Most of the time I'll get matched to an opponent with outrageous stats and a weapon advantage, and I'll have such a low hitrate I'll always miss and in turn get my crap kicked in in like 2 rounds. Only certain amounts of units do the Arena successfully (Like @OriginalRaisins said, my bow users almost never lost a battle, a long with Gonzales and Rutger who tore the Arena up) whereas units like Alen and Dieck got murdered every time they went in. For me, it didn't just happen when the bid got higher, it was from the beginning. Only thing most of my units could beat was really bad Soldiers and those enemies suck. I'm on Chapter 12 now again, and the only new unit(s) I'll have to train in the Arena are Melady and Raigh (hopefully) which shouldn't have an issue with it since one is a god and the other uses magic. On another topic that I've been wanting to talk about: Lances. Lances absolutely suck in this game. Everytime I get them even if they're silver I throw them away or sell them. In my opinion there is no reason to use them in this game since they have less hitrate than swords and less might than axes, and the excel at neither. Lance users have actually been a heck of a lot more inaccurate for me than any axe user in this game. It's gotten to the point where I'm basically just using axes and swords on my horseback units and just swords on Shanna. Sorry about the lance rant there, but dang, did they nerf that weapon in this one.
  4. Alright well sorry I haven't replied to anyone in this for a while. It's been snowing like crazy here and my power went out for a day straight so I wasn't able to play FE6 for the whole time. And as I come back on and finally am able to play I see that my save files were erased. *sigh*
  5. Thanks! I will do as so. I used Elfire a lot before, but the Aircaliber bonus against fliers is better. Well yeah, but that doesn't come until Ch. 16 Speaking of the Arena, is it just me or is it extremely hard in this game?
  6. Thanks friend. I've found that out in my 2 playthroughs of FE6 the hard way lol. Eh, that's not a bad point. I mean granted, that problem is solved upon promotion, but that takes forever to get. Well my intention was for you guys to laugh at my pain, lol, so I'm glad I could accomplish that. xD Honestly, as bad of an idea as it may be, I really am trying to give Lot a chance this time. Like not just for the early chapters, like full on promotion/endgame stuff. I'm also thinking of stacking my team with mages, like Benice said my team will probably consist of all 3, Lilina, Lugh and Raigh. (Maybe Hugh, but he joins kinda late. Getting promotion items won't be that big of deal either for them since they join later.) But like you said, using the same unit isn't bad because FE6 is unforgiving and the pool of mostly, well, trash units is more than the viable units lol. Doesn't help that the leader that is required to be deployed every chapter is completely useless the whole game until he gets promoted 3 chapters before the final one. 😕 As you said, this post is alive and well, I don't think it'll be stopping anytime soon. xP Well I am definitely not going to use Thea (everytime I use her she ends up being absolute garbage and I am tired of trying to make her work. I am so SORRY thea, but you aren't making it any easier on me! 😧 ) I can replace her with Sue perhaps and I'll make it there this time. I am going to stack my team of mages. Mages are like bows in this game only with 1-2 range always. So all those mentioned plus Lugh and Lilina. I don't plan on using Dieck to long either. He really turns out well in early in the game and even is great past that, but he really struggles starting from like, chapter 18 onward. Before I used him the whole time, but he's not worth it and if I am going to get out of Ch. 21 alive with all my limbs intact I can't deploy him lol. Thanks. It's pretty painful but hilarious at the same time for me. Haha, that made me laugh. He sure does, and he'll certainly make you pay for it if dare disrespect his omnipotence with such insolence.
  7. I agree with that list in it's entirety EXCEPT Lyn and Dart. Those turned out to be my best units along with hector in FE7. My experience with the game was pretty semi-blind. I loved it from the start to the end, even though I didn't really know much going into it. It's difficulty is really invigorating. This might be a unpopular opinion here and I don't want to anger anyone, but I actually love FE7 and 8 just as much as FE6. I think all of them have their merits and I thoroughly enjoyed all entries from start to finish. Games I could play over and over again and not get bored! How I got through the entire map on Hard mode with losing the least amount units as possible was warping Gonzales into the mountains to the east and leaving him there with like, 4 killer axes. He absolutely man-handled the entire half of that map and didn't get hit once. The trouble came from the western side of the map where my mounted units were having trouble taking down all the other paladins and wyverns. True, it definitely feels like a battlefield compared to most FE chapters and it certainly test your mettle! Speaking of that chapter in particular, I came across a bit of technical difficulty tonight. So I finished Chapter 22 and was excited to see the chapters afterward and finally beat the game in it's entire state. The ending comes up instead of a new chapter. I'm already freaking out at what went wrong. "I got all the gaiden chapters! How could this possibly be!! I have all the sacred weapons in my inventory! Durandal... Maltet... Armads... Forblaze.. Aureola... Apocalypse... Mul--- Wait??! Where's Mulagir!? Oooh no, oh nooo..." 'Tis is when I came to the swift realization that back in Chapter 21, you know, that chapter with all the freaking wyverns and paladins? Yeah that one. Remember Yoder? HE HAD the Mulagir. Want to know what happened to Yoder on this adventure? He DIED. HE FREAKING DIED!! WITH MULAGIR IN HIS INVENTORY! I forgot to take it away from him. Little did I know using him as a sacrificial lamb was putting in place my own demise... Yoder certainly got his revenge. You know what that means? Time for another, yet another!, playthrough... This will become my most played FE in terms of hours at this point! xDDD Sorry about being so dramatic about it. But I really wanted people to know of the hysteria I am facing right now.
  8. It's been more than helpful! I most likely wouldn't have been able to finish (I haven't finished it quite yet) FE6 without the help of you guys on here. So for that, I thank you all! Exactly. From personal experience Binding Blade is absolutely ruthless and unforgiving. xD Chapter 21 in particular. With it's wave after WAVE of wyverns and promoted wyverns... Not to mention the paladins. I lost a few units there, but I didn't beat myself up over it too much. That map is brutal of all hell lol. Even on hard, other FEs give mercy.
  9. Kind of, lol Well I just beat Chapter 20 tonight, so almost there, but not quite yet. Got all the gaiden chapters done this time, so I'll be able to play a few more chapters this time thankfully. But oooh boy, I didn't expect this thread to erupt as much as it did! Haha. My Blazing Blade one didn't spark too much controversy, but then again, there really isn't any bad units in that one (normal mode at least) so it was pretty straightforward. Only a few units in this game are viable really.
  10. Yes I am using Shin this time since he gets HM stat bonuses. He's pretty much Sue only male, lol. Useful Nomad Trooper (Bow Knight), but I like bows in this game, so a sniper/archer is always a good addition also. I didn't exactly drop her, per-say. I mean, what I MEANT was I just took her out of my regular team and started using her as a filler unit. She's useful there. I am still a little perturbed my Thea has turned out badly in two playthroughs now, lol. You see, I always make it a priority in most FE games to have at least 2 healers. It's always nice to have a backup in case, but this time I switched it since Ping recommended using only one since healing EXP was a bit lower in this game. I also have Lugh at a whopping B rank in staves from arena grinding, XD. Like you said though, Cecilia is a great option and I used her last time as well as this for a backup, and she does the job well. She lacks power and her growths are terrible, but she's decent. (at least for me) Yeah, she hasn't turned out good for 2 playthroughs now. I've noticed in this FE I get really screwed with growths, lol. It's funny you mention your Dieck turning out bad because that's how mine has turned out this time around. You're experience with him is the same as mine, the thing is though as I'm experiencing the same thing with Echidna. Her or Dieck can't dodge and their damage output is pretty bad, Shanna does more damage than them and that's really bad. It's crazy too since Hero is one of the best classes in FE. I've actually gotten Gonzales to the point where he averages at about 80 hit vs. a lance user and about 74-75 hit vs an axe user. He hits about as often as my Lance or Perceval does, and that's really, really good for him. Of course I gave him a secret book, but his skill is naturally pretty high for him, oddly enough. Definitely weird how my units have turned out, lol. I agree with this. Gonzales is really good and not as inaccurate if you invest in him as people say. From personal experience he hits pretty often and dodges a lot. The thing about my experience with the Binding Blade is almost ALL units except Rutger have hitrate issues. I can't count how many times one of my paladins or falcon knights have missed TWICE in a row when they were above 80 hit with a weapon triangle advantage. (Like, seriously?? You have an 80% chance to hit twice and you MISS BOTH) I haven't ran into that problem with Gonzales. Yes and I am playing HM I agree with this. A lot of people want efficiency though and Gonzales needs all the babying he can get for a few levels... He's really worth it though if you get him there. (I'm kinda biased for axe users though so take my opinion with a grain of salt)
  11. Ahh, I get it now. I think you're right though, tbh it's more hassle than it's worth and the fact that everyone here says Ilia route is better it just doesn't seem to have any desirability or significance to the enjoyment of the game for me. So, whatever the game takes me to I will go to. I've been using Klein since he joined and I'll say, he is very helpful especially with the wyvern heavy maps, but since I don't see the point in investing in him I think I will get Igrene and bench him this time around. She requires less investment from what Ping said. I'll be honest with you, my Shanna is infinitely more useful than my same-level promoted Thea, she also has infinitely better stats than her minus Str. Thea was becoming a chore to use, too be honest, and shanna is just now becoming a huge help with combat thanks to her dodginess. Perhaps I got unlucky this time around with my thea, but I haven't given either one of them the body ring I got on ch. 13 since neither deserve or really even need it right now. I think I'll give it to Shanna though if someone else doesn't need it. (My lance seems to have trouble with weapons weighing him down.) I benched Thea actually for reasons I stated above. I used Clarine last time in NM and wanted to use Saul as my healer this time and am regretting it, since mounted healers are better in every way. I figured Saul's higher magic would make him worth it, but now I know that's not the case. So I'm a bit conflicted on rather I should bench or invest him. I had my answer before but now that I've ran into some difficulties I might need to change my decision. xD I used Echidna this time since I got Bartre last time. She hits a lot better and faster but I will admit, her Str is kind of lacking and her low sword rank kind of hurts. I admittedly like Bartre a lot better, since I think Dieck does Echidna's job better.
  12. Haha no problem. I got yelled at for double posting when I first joined so, definitely make sure you watch out for accidentally doing that. xD Now here is where I'm confused. You can't do both routes in one playthrough right? If you can, I was planning on getting Sin and Shanna/Thea on the same level with the Arena in Ch. 13 and keeping them equally leveled until then. That's not how this works though, isn't it? It's one per playthrough, right? Garret, even on NM, was a really nice filler unit since some chapters towards the end of the game give you like 9 billion unit slots, and you'll have more than you have established units lol. I used my two hero crest I got from ch. 7 and 10a on Rutger and Dieck, so Gonzales and Fir will have to wait a bit for another one sadly. Still, it's not really a big deal right now since they are pretty decent unpromoted even. Also, perfect video to describe Roy's(especially mine) situation in hard mode. XD At the end there, were you talking about Klein or Gonzales? If it's the latter, so far I'm good on not needing meds, I gave him a skill book and supported him with Lilina, and his hit rates are no where near as abysmal as they were last time around. KNOCK. ON. WOOD. I see. I always never use archers/snipers in any FE (minus 3H because close counter) because of that exact reason. But found with this game that most maps are wyvern-hell, and regardless of enemy phase problems, that knockout on promoted wyverns really helps. I don't really want to invest too much into a sniper though, so perhaps I will use him and wait for Igrene to come along, now that you've said it. My god, Seth. That has to be the best unit in the entire series lol. I mean, yeah, part of it is The Sacred Stones is easy even on difficult mode, but with his growths and base stats at the start of the game, as well as 20 levels to improve and his weapon levels, he can literally SOLO the game on difficult mode by himself. Provided you have some luck though, I managed to do it on my last playthrough of FE8 before I played this (just for fun, since I did two runs normally) I went on a tangent about Seth but he is the only pre-promoted unit in FE (binding blade exception) that I consider absolute mandatory for every team! He's like a growth unit that is good all the time. Right now she is decent but definitely not rutger, you're right there. She's a great body-guard unit for the axe-haven that is these chapters but she gets squashed by the almighty god. Still, I plan on using her and even promoting her when I can deploy more units than I want to permanently have. What about Shanna? Is thea's Con really that low? If so, I will have to keep it from Melady this time and give it to her. Very bad design. Horrible design, actually. I'm glad they fixed that in FE7 where either Lyn or Eliwood/Hector could promote like, 8 chapters before the final one. Been nice if they did that for Roy. 😞
  13. RIP your Melady and Sin (Shin?? The translation I got from this site localized it as Sin, funnily enough.) Those are some attractive stats though, I was pretty blessed with Melady last time and all my other units were garbage, but now my other units are pretty good, hopefully she is blessed AGAIN with the growths she had last time, that'd be great. On Marcus: I found this out quickly. He actually almost died in Ch. 7( That chapter is absolutely BRUTAL on Hard mode!) and was extremely outclassed by a measly level 11 Lance. I benched him and Zelot as soon as I got them and then trained my low level units in the arena (which btw, is extremely HARD on hard mode, I had to cheat with save states on that, but it saved me days worth of headaches so it's an exception) Funny you mention his growths, because my Marcus got to level 3 and got 2 1 stat level ups and 1 with zero stats. Just like, lol. You can do both routes at once? How does that even work? I don't think I'd get there though, because my Shanna is already a lvl 1 Falcon Knight (because I wanted her swords for the western isles which is axe hell like you mentioned). Perhaps I shouldn't have been so quick to arena grind... Garret wasn't that bad in NM. I used him as a filler unit, he wasn't good, nor bad. Just there. Still, I don't see the point in using him since I'm going to use Gonzales (if I don't slam my head on the desk, then I might find it better to use him just for my sanity) Good advice actually! I didn't even know you could bargain with Hugh. I just paid upfront for him and benched him. Another thing, is I don't really see the point in using Fir when I have the sword god Rutger lol. In NM she was underleveled and I just saw her as redundant. Is she really worth training this time around? I plan on using Thea. I know a lot of people would probably disagree with that but I like having 3 fliers. Same goes for Klein since bows were surprisingly good in this game (well, at least on NM.) My biggest gripe with this game is the LATE, and I mean LATE, promotion for Roy! Chapter 21, seriously? (chapter 21x if you get that) It makes him near useless past chapter 11. 😕 At least he was for me. I did this! It was really easy to get my units up to level thanks to that Iron Sword lol. I went through 2 of those things doing that. I can see why Marcus is so useful in HM (not sure about NM since he might knock them out completely there) .On the note of Klien, how does he fare as a permanent member? I wouldn't mind having another Bow user in this one (other than Sin. Shin? Sin? Whatever he is!) That's a good way to look at prepromotes. Not just for this, for a lot of FEs. Looking at them as way to make it easier to train better units you want doesn't take away EXP from them and makes it easier to do so. I never saw it like that, which was pretty dumb. 😛 And even if I wanted to recruit him on CH. 13, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I tried like hell on NM and I still couldn't even do it. So unless I get really, really lucky and work some kind of miracle, I'll be forced to get him on Ch. 15 I prefer dodginess which is why I like fliers. I prefer tankiness for like, warriors and berserkers. I think I can make Gonzales work on HM. I mean, I'll give it my best shot, no matter how frustrating. Crazier things have been done, right? 😄
  14. Ah, that's where it was! I didn't even think to steal from him. Only thing I thought when I saw him is "lol wyrmslayer go brrrrrrrr". I'll give him so mercy though this time for that shield he carries. Eh, I wouldn't imagine her not capping defensive stats would be a problem especially with her really high dodge chances. Couple that with the delphi shield and she'll be totally fine even without it I'd think. Thanks for that. I didn't know he wouldn't attack my dancer. I didn't even deploy Elphin for that chapter. Now I have just TWO more questions for you two and then I'll leave you alone. xD Is Marcus a good enough unit to be viable the whole game or? I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of dropping characters after a certain point or so, and AnonymousSpeed stated that he's meant to be dropped after like chapter 8 or so. I know perhaps he'll be outclassed by Percival once you recruit him, but I wouldn't mind having like, 4 Paladins if Marcus' growths are good and whatnot. Aaaand.... What is the better route to take? I went to Ilia this time but how do you get to Sacae? I've read it has something to do with Sue and Sin getting more EXP or something than Shanna and Thea, but I really don't understand since I would like to use Shanna again and it seems like the only way to accomplish that would be benching her. Perhaps I'm thinking too into it. Yes, thanks! I'm definitely not worried about spoiling myself this time and am going to go in depth with every map to get everything. Even if it means restarting which I don't like to do much.
  15. I was watching college basketball with my dad, he dies in the middle of the game, and I awake.
  16. I read she gets HM bonuses so I can't imagine how many of her stats would be capped if I was playing on Hard, makes me excited to play that difficulty! Ah, I figured. While I've said numerous times I don't like using prepromoted units, Binding Blade is an exception because it's a lot more difficult than the FEs I've played, and I could barely get passed early game maps in NM, I'll most definitely need him and more in HM. I think it's pretty stupid that Sophia is so underleveled and really has no incentive to use her over Raigh and Niime since she's kind of an important character in the story. (kind of) Yup, trying not to kill him was an impossible challenge in my predicament. It's kind of funny that I'm not the only person who ran into that problem, lol. My thieves dodged all his attacks, but they couldn't damage him at all to make him move in the slighest, and they were permanently stuck in the eastern side of the room since he was blocking me in the chest room. I tried using all my sleep staves but I only had 2 and it took longer for me to open the chest than he stayed asleep, rip. I agree. Her and Rutger are my best units and no one comes close to them. (I didn't get the delphi shield since I couldn't find it anywhere. 😕 ) But now that I've beaten CH. 22 today it's time to rectify all these failures of my first playthrough and do a complete one on Hard. It'll be fun, but we'll see how it goes. Thanks to everyone for all the pointers!
  17. I figured they wouldn't be much better if not worse in Hard mode but, his other stats get a buff in that difficulty so I figure it might make investing in him more worthwhile. Another reason I value the Berserk class is because they can move over mountains and water which only flying units can do, so it's great to have an infantry unit be able to do that. About this... I took your advice and researched about these chapters with those requirements and so far I've done good with them except the chapter where you have to keep douglas alive. It was either him or the chest. RIP, guess I'm not getting beyond the 22nd chapter this playthrough. I forgot about this guy. He seems to hit a lot better but not as hard. I didn't use him, but perhaps I will consider him next time. I'm using pretty much everyone here minus Lugh & Raigh, Gonzales, and Rutger. Some of them are filler units, but they help a lot. My Melady is probably my best unit and is near unstoppable. She's already capped out her Str, Skill, Spd and HP at level 9 Wyvern Lord and her growths are still going good. I definitely got lucky with her. Well... I meant newish in terms of years, not really playtime or game-wise. But yeah, I've become a huge fan of FE in the past 2 years or so and it's all I've played in the past couple months lol. Well that is already going to happen because I have to play through again if I want to see the full story, for reasons I stated above. A lot of FEs are like that, but it's not to the degree of FE6.
  18. This is what I was figuring and wanting by using him. But with the luck I was having, he wasn't even worth trying to baby until he got up to a respectable level and promoted. However now that you've said this once I play again on hard mode I am going to try harder to train him since he gets better skill and will hit more. I won't have bartre next for a an axe user, so it's a good tradeoff. If it's a pre-promoted berserker than I don't really have any interest in him anyway, I'm sure there is use for that one but if he doesn't absolutely stand out I don't see the use for him. I gave him a Short Bow instead and he is doing great with it. He can one shot wyvern riders and crits a lot with it. I'm using him now and he's pretty much made Sue obsolete for me (right now). I've noticed his low Speed, he doesn't double often. But so far I don't see the problem with it, since he doesn't take that much damage and he is pretty bulky, I'll see how he fares though in the coming chapters. Yup, I am actually. Only tips I've read is the ones you guys have given me on this page. I'm pretty new to FE as a whole to be honest, not just this one. I started back in 2015 with Fates: Conquest because Nintendo at the time was really hyping it up and I was wanting to try new games as the time, so I gave it a chance. At first I didn't get it, I was playing on casual normal mode, since the permanent death feature kind of scared me lol. I went through the entire game with unpromoted units with iron weapons because I had no clue about the class system and seals and whatnot. The game was extremely hard for me as a result, haha. After beating it I decided to put it down and come back to it in a year or so, and as I started researching what FE is and how it works, I started getting more and more into it. I eventually learned some about it like skills, and other stuff to a degree. After buying and finishing all three routes of Fates with different teams I set for the game I moved on to Awakening and played that to no end on all difficulties. And then Three Houses comes out and that becomes my most played FE with 400 hours clocked and like 7 playthroughs lol. And now I'm here, playing through all the older games because FE has become my favorite franchise. So far I've played FE7 and FE8 in the pre 3DS era and loved them both. Okay, story time is over, sorry about that! I can say from personal experience training units on the field makes the game that much harder... I mean... This logic isn't wrong. Good point.
  19. Ooooh boy, I cannot tell you how right you were about this. I took your advice but I decided to give Gonzales a try, and the guy couldn't hit a boulder right in front of him. I went 8 turns, 8 TURNS, without him hitting a single hit on a fighter. I don't even want to know how he fares against a sword user. His stats aren't even that bad (minus skill which might contribute to his accuracy) but damn is he unusable with that hit rate. That idea is benched. Perhaps he is better on hard mode since I read he gets stat bonuses there. But what about Bartre? I'm on the chapter he's recruited, and he comes with a brave axe and whopping 22 strength, which none of my units now are even thinking about nearing. I used him against the boss and while his hit rate is kind of low also, his power is good. Yes, it's normal mode. But this game is hard as it is. Look at my above post and see how that experiment of mine turned out... xD Who is Zeiss and when do you acquire him/her?
  20. Well I've taken you guys' advice and am currently training these units: Roy, Lilina, Alan, Lance, Sue, Rutger, Dieck, Shanna and Clarine. I got really lucky with Sue and every one of her level ups were great, and now she is my most powerful unit. She's definitely saved my butt, lol. I'm planning on picking up Melady, Bartre and Gonzales in the coming chapters and I think that should about round it out. Thanks for all your help, friends!
  21. Well, it's funny that you mention that promotion items aren't too abundant in FE6 because I'm on Chapter 8 as of now and haven't come across 1 single promotion item yet. In my playthroughs of FE7 and (especially) FE8 I had like 3 or 4 promotion items at this point. I've noticed Fe6 also has these huge maps and is a lot harder than it's successors. Not that's a bad thing, but it becomes a problem when.... Your units you're using are only getting 1 stat up during level ups. I have no idea what is going on, I've never ran into this in any other FE but my units I'm using aren't getting any stronger besides Roy (almost all his stats go up a level up) and it's really frustrating lol. At this point, I'm going to probably be forced to use prepromotes just to make the game a little bit easier, because as of now, my units barely do any damage besides Roy and Dieck and I can't strategize or work with that even when only two units are worth a dang lol. Lot was my best unit coming up to CH. 7, and like you mentioned, he started missing a ton even against lance users so I dropped him, even though it pained me to do so since fighters are cool. A big offender of this is Shanna. Her strength is so terrible, it takes her 5 rounds just to KO a single mercenary. Her speeds levels up all the time, but what is all that speed when you have no power to attack with lol. Oh, and I forgot about Rutger. I've been using him, and he is a beast. He's my only truly reliable unit. He's actually why I lost Elen but I think it was a pretty fair tradeoff lol. He makes quick work with map bosses, and his growths are decent, too. He's the one big exception to all this. As far as healers go, Clarine seems to be doing the job perfectly for me now. I'm pretty proud of myself, since I've only lost 1 unit (which was Elen, but I didn't care that much since Clarine and Saul are better healers) and with how hard of a time I'm having with the game, it's a pretty good feat for me lol. I took your advice and started using Sue. Thing is, she is only level 1 and the way units grow in this game, who knows if she'll get stronger lol. She can't really do anything as of now, but I'm willing to invest in her. To condense it all in one: This is the hardest FE I've played, and I'm only on Normal mode (I didn't see an option for hard) and my OCD of growing units into stronger ones is biting me in the rear. See, I've played The Sacred Stones on Difficult, all three stories on the Blazing Blade on hard, played Awakening on lunatic and all three routes of Fates on hard and just recently did a playthrough of Three Houses on Maddening Classic and have never had this much trouble lol. I'm not the best FE player out there, I'm pretty noobish, but I wouldn't consider myself that bad. All in all though, it's really a fun time, and just scraping by with 4 units that are barely decent is nerve-wracking and fun, lol. Yeah... I've learned this the hard way. I haven't used marcus in any combat as of yet, but I've used him to rescue some of my main units when they were near death. He's handy for that. Hmm, it's very interesting to see you use Lot any more than the beginning chapters. I was planning on using him, but like I stated above, he was missing a lot so I benched him. I'm interested to know what you decided to train him? By the look of this pic though, I'll have to add Lilina to my team. Lugh is good I guess right now, but the way he is going, I definitely don't think he'll be capping magic and I need a strong magic user. Thanks for the insight!
  22. This is a lot similar to my Blazing Blade question of the same topic... Basically what I'm asking is what are the best units to invest time and resources into? As I said in my previous thread about FE7 I'm not really a big fan of pre-promotes unless they really are good and contribute the whole game (Like seth in the sacred stones) and the "Rate the Unit" threads for FE6 seem to heavily favor pre-promotes, which I'll repeat am not a big fan of. So which are the best units to train that aren't so? So far, I'm on chapter 4 and am using Lot, Roy, Lance, Alen, Shanna. Dieck and now Lugh. I picked Lot because he was the best one I had for fighter and I eventually want a Warrior to me team.
  23. You... Haven't logged in 6 years and the first thing you see is my post? That's... a bit coincidental I guess. Yeah, I won't go into what I've done here but I've done some questionable things and now it reflects on me as a terrible person which I normally don't act like. it isn't me... That's not who I am.
