  1. Okay, I've come to the conclusion that Sorcerer is hands-down the best class for Lunatic. This build is based on the concept of baiting enemies during their turn and mowing them down with counterattacks. Weapons: Resire if you're being frugal, fully upgraded Inverse's Darkness (20 Mt, 10 uses) for bosses or when your Luck starts to get near 50. Minimum Progression: Strategist (10) → Mercenary (10) → Hero (10) → Grandmaster (10) → Sorcerer Skills: Weapon Saver - Necessary to keep using a forged Inverse's Darkness. It's possible to get Luck over 50 if you use Double bonuses, even if you don't pick Luck as your best stat. Sol - Stacks with Resire/Inverse for even crazier regeneration. Magnificent Flame - Great activation rate for extra damage. Vengeance - Take damage → Counterattack with the Vengeance bonus and replenish the lost health. The last skill is up in the air. You could stick in Hero for 5 more levels to get Axe Slayer, or you could use Late Initiative to boost your evasion during the enemy turn, or you could pass through Dark Pegasus to get Lightning Speed, or Sage to get Magic Expert. Anything works, really.
  2. I love British voices. The first Dragon Age had the best atmosphere of any RPG I've ever played. The grunts are pretty strange, but I got so used to them that turning them off felt even stranger. It's a pity full voice is impossible since there's so much text.
  3. Okay, I redid Chapter 11, keeping Olivia stuck with Krom the whole map. He married Olivia this time, so the bond level needs to reach a certain level to trigger the marriage flag (dancing for him one time wasn't enough). Krom had no support levels and zero bond with the other candidates, so next time I'm going to try and get his support with Sumia to C to see if support level overrides bond level in terms of wife priority. His support level with Olivia went straight to S when he marries. However, the support conversations do exist and you can see them from the conversation viewer in the Extras.
  4. She joins at the end of Chapter 10, you can do DLC/map encounters to build up their support before going into Chapter 11. Edit: Wait, I was mistaken, yeah she joins at the start of 11. So I guess you have to have them build up bond to a certain level within the map.
  5. Krom should default to the nameless villager, not Olivia, even if you don't kill anybody off. I tested this by going through the first 11 chapters making sure Krom didn't Double with or stand next to any possible wives so he didn't build up any bond points at all, let alone supports. It's possible that it works off bond points instead of supports, so I tried Chapter 11 again and made Olivia do one dance for Krom, but he still ended up marrying the villager.
  6. No, you still have to pay. It's just a way of keeping the SpotPass characters available even after starting a new game, so you don't have to wait x days to get their team again.
  7. For example, in my first playthrough I summon Ira's SpotPass team and recruit her. She gets added to the MyUnit list. Then I start a second playthrough, which resets the SpotPass list so I no longer have her team. I can still recruit her from the MyUnit list, though.
  8. Just tested it, they get recorded if you recruit them. You still lose the team if you start a new game, though. Edit for clarity: If you start a new game the recruited SpotPass characters stay on the list, you can pay money again to hire them. But the SpotPass team disappears and you can't summon them until you get the team again.
  9. Yeah, I copied the track list from the game. The MyUnit List can keep up to 99 characters registered. You can send multiple MUs into battle, and they have all their reclass options available, but they don't keep their items when they join and they have no supports. And they're really expensive. An endgame MU will cost over 70000, a stat maxed MU will be in the six digits. I'm not sure how the actual StreetPass stuff works if you meet someone else's character on the world map, since I live on a different planet and have nobody to streetpass with. By the way, paid DLC characters use the same system, they get added to the list and take up a slot when you clear their map.
  10. Best/worst stats also affect caps of other stats. If you pick worst Luck your maximum Strength and Magic also go down by one point. Also, Weapon Saver is one of the best skills in the game and it depends on Luck. When you start a new game you'll automatically carry over Fame from whatever existing save has the highest Fame. You can also recruit your old MU but that's not really a new game bonus thing, it's just the way the MU StreetPass feature works. Load your old save and go to the map menu → Communications menu → MyUnit List menu and select the last option to record your MU on the list. Then load your new save and you can recruit them from the same menu. The more powerful they are the more expensive they are to recruit, so you probably won't be able to afford them at the start anyway. Other than that you can't carry anything over. There are 77 tracks including the battle variations of map tracks. They have names, but most of them are pretty strange (named after quotes in the game). Track list:
  11. You need to keep the save. I started a new game in a separate slot even though I don't intend to do anything with the old one. Going to try and fill up the support conversations in Normal next, then challenge Lunatic and Lunatic+.
  12. There's no postgame. You don't get anything in the final chapter besides the EXP from killing enemies, and you can return to the world map from the preparation screen even after entering a chapter, so there's actually not much point anyway. Just reload after the ending and do whatever you want.
  13. Those are Lunatic+ skills. You can play Casual Lunatic, but clearing it will only unlock Casual Lunatic+. Clearing Classic Lunatic will unlock both Casual and Classic Lunatic+.
  14. Lightning Speed is great, but even with it you can only kill two units in one player turn. On the other hand, there's no limit to the amount of units you can kill in one enemy turn. The best unit is one that can charge solo right into enemy lines and kill everyone with a counterattack (easily possible for MU on Hard, and I've heard it's possible on Lunatic with Resire/Inverse's Darkness). If you can get your Luck to 50, Weapon Saver will always activate, so you get infinite uses of forged/rare/fragile weapons. Sol keeps you alive and has a surprisingly reliable activation rate. Life Drain sounds good too, but it's overkill since Sol is enough.
  15. Don't forget that enemies in Lunatic+ can get Pass right from the start. Good luck keeping everyone alive when they can waltz right through your formations.
  16. You can spawn them on the map as many times as you want in one playthrough. When you start a new game, the list gets wiped and you have to collect them all from scratch (you get a new team every 24 hours).
  17. No, these are the free spotpass ones that get sent daily.
  18. I was fine with DLC being just characters/maps, but adding skills and classes is pushing it. Anyway, I'm still not planning to buy any, since it's actually the spammable DLC, not the free world map, that breaks the game.
  19. When you clear Chapter 4 the dimensional gate opens up (the pink point at the bottom of the map, with Anna). The options are: あそぶ (Play any DLC map you have) 追加マップ購入 (Buy and add DLC) やめる (Exit) Once you select the second option you need to use the touch controls from that point on. On the DLC page the available maps will be listed with three buttons at the bottom: 残高の追加 (Add charge to your wallet) 購入/消去 (Buy/Delete) 終了 (Exit) The SpotPass stuff can be used right away, but you need to enable it first. From the map menu, the middle button on the right is the Communications option. The Communications page has six options: マイチーム (My Team) デュアルタッグ (Dual Tag) 配信ボックス (DL Box) マイユニ名鑑 (MyUnit List) 名声ボーナス (Fame Bonus) いつの間に通信 (SpotPass Transmission) First enable spotpassing with the last option (picking the option again will toggle it on/off). Then check the DL Box, which has five options: 配信チーム (DL Teams) 配信アイテム (DL Items) 配信マップ (DL Maps) 配信デュアル (DL Duals) データ受信 (Receive Data) Stuff should get added automatically once you've turned on spotpassing, but to check manually pick the last option. To get a DL team to spawn pick the first option, which will bring up the teams grouped by game (I only have Seisen teams at the moment) and you can select one to spawn it on the map. I'm still on my first playthrough, but I've heard that when you start a new game the DL teams get reset, so use them while you can. Fame carries over, and you can get the bonuses again in a new game. I wish I had a decent camera!
  20. I won't pretend to know how these things work, but it does say Nintendo of America, so...
  21. Instruction sheet and game cartridge. If you're wondering about the black bar in the picture, the poster claims he blacked it out because he thought it was a code of some sort, but as you can see in the second shot it's just the game's product ID. Shot from the start of the game. Krom: "This is our final battle!" Stat graphs. Marth is a Lord, Tiki can be a Dragonmaster. Aaand I think that's enough for me. I'm not too bothered by spoilers, but I'm not going to go looking for them either. Time to get off the internet! soon EDIT Credits to 2ch, ChinaFE and various other fans. >>> Image directory <<< (spoilers, updated randomly) EDIT2 Spoilers up to Post 421: [spoiler=Spoilers]Do you want to know who Masked Marth is? [spoiler=Reveal][spoiler=Are you sure?]They're Lucina, Krom's child from the future. In the screenshot, their mother is Sumia, but their mother can be anyone that Krom can pair with. Lucina is a Lord and promotes to Great Lord like her father. [spoiler=Why the mask?]Krom's baby has a holy marking on their left eye. [spoiler=At Level 20]Lucina at Level 20. Stat bonuses are from Double, except Spd +2. Sumia's daughter, Cynthia. Krom is the father here, but Cynthia's father can be any of Sumia's suitors, including My Unit. My Unit gets his own son, Mark. His class depends on the mother it seems--if the mother is Lucina, Mark is a Strategist, while he's a Manakete if Nono is the mother. [spoiler=Mark a reference?]Mark also happens to be the default name of the Tactician in FE7 and the Tactician's best ending title just so happens to be "Grandmaster". Nono's daughter, Soso. In the screenshot, her father is My Unit (although it's not displayed since they're not recruited). Other children. Nono apparently knows Bantu. Tiki knows Marth and she's around 3000 years old. For reference, she was 1100 in FE1. Compatibility/love charts don't reflect the actual game, they're just there for fun.

  23. I'll rephrase that - we can potentially reset the character level endlessly, which undermines the appeal of trainees (more levelups to gain stats). Even if you play through without grinding, there's no advantage to raising Donny from a Villager to an unpromoted unit to a promoted unit, as opposed to, say, class changing an unpromoted unit once before promoting them. You still get the same number of levels, only Donny has to be babied through the first 20. Unless Villager gets some super broken skills or something...
  24. What's the point of trainees when we have Change Proofs to grind endlessly? Even they're limited in number, you'll still need to use one on Donny anyway to get him out of Villager.
