I finished all three routes a couple of days ago, and now that I've had time to take it all in, I still love this game as much as I do Three Houses. There are some quirks with the writing and story that I LOVE and some I'm not too hot on, but there's nothing from the latter that really impedes my overall enjoyment. It's undeniably the best Nintendo Musou as well, imo. Notably about GW in particular is- Another thing I loved about SB- One thing in AG specifically that's still kind of a pet peeve is-

Because aside from the fact Anselma and Patricia two different names for the same person, the only person in that situation with Anselma/Patricia situation that fits with being a "terribly, horribly manipulative and cruel person" is Cornelia, but you didn't mention her at all.

Perhaps, but it could also be that the download demo thing went live earlier than intended, assuming that we get a demo released within the next day or two; which I think is safe to assume considering the fact that AoC get a demo close to release.

I'm starting with M!Shez and F!Byleth for my first route, Scarlet Blaze. I decided to use M!Byleth and picked the Black Eagles first when I played OG FE3H initially because I saw the former more in promotional materials pre-release, so I stuck with him. More or less the same reasoning I'm using now. After that, I'll probably keep using F!Shez and alternate between M!Byleth and F!Byleth between Azure Gleam and Golden Wildfire.

Not for me, I've played both Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, Pirate Warriors 3+4 and Dynasty Warriors 8. I also played Persona 5 Strikers, but that game was terribly boring so I usually forget that I played it at all.

A shame, but it makes sense. Shez shouldn't have as much sway with people moving to another house as Byleth naturally would as a teacher.

Favourite: Raphael for its simplicity. The bandana really does alot with too much either, and I like that he just ditched wearing a poorly buttoned up shirt entirely. Least favourite: Lysithea. The design feel uninteresting, and the hair not being any different to her original timeskip design doesn't help things either.

Ngl, I'm surprised Petra's preferred class wasn't assassin, but I suppose there's nothing stopping KT from making Thief and Assassin both preferred classes for her.

This is what I thought too. Besides, even if someone like Ashe and Bernadetta shared the same preferred class and had the same moveset, I doubt the latter is going to share Ashe's skill, so they'll still be unqiue.

Should be an hour and 40 mins left, give or take.

People on and outside this forum were also positive that not all the students from the main three houses would return for the base game, and yet... All I'm saying is that you never know. And there's still radio silence, so I suspect we'll get another trailer within the next five hours. And if they don't, I might lose it.

I mean, maybe? But now we're at the point where KT should start putting out trailers like this more consistently, considering how it's slightly over a month out from release. Doing weekly trailers for the three houses, the Church, and Ashen Wolves, plus a final trailer would fill up every Friday prior to release with some sort of new info and make for some consistent marketing at least.

I'm curious as to whether they're going to drop the trailer soon after Ingrid's preferred class twitter post, or if we'll get a sort of 'class photo' filler tweet before moving on to whatever house is next.

Ashe is probably my favourite, and while I like everyone's new designs, Felix's portrait definitely looks the most off to me. His in-game model and fan art look great by comparison.

Fwiw, the info about being able to manually detonate the spikes is new.

I want to see Petra and the assassin class moveset in action sometime soon.

Speaking of that, you'd think they would've started at least dropping trailers for each of the houses individually on a weekly basis as of now. That seems like a reasonable way to keep the hype going from the mysterious mercenary trailer with all the new timeskip designs and such, so unless they plan on doing something like a month out from release, I don't see what KT and IS are trying to achieve.

Right. This was more or less what was happening for the most part after the initial reveal until the Mysterious Mercenary trailer, so I'm hoping this is to hold us over until we get something like one trailer per week for each of the three houses and branching paths leading up to the release. Something like that, anyway.

You should be able to reclass her to be a flying unit from a mage if she's in. It's also worth mentioning that the original screenshot with what I thought was Constance, Edelgard is level 6, which means two things: 1. If the info about how classes are going to work in-game is anything to go by, you'll have to level Constance up first like in Three Houses. or 2. The game starts with a flash forward mission in the post-timeskip era (hence the low levels) and is going to go eventually go back to the past for the actual story so it won't matter, kind of like Pirate Warriors 4.

Ah, that makes sense, especially since the monk doesn't have a circle around her in screenshot either. I wonder why she's she's even there to begin with 🤔 That said, Constance with a bob cut and a hat would be a cute look for her, idk.

Speaking of the Ashen Wolves (or one of them at least), I've been thinking about this for a while, but I think like this unidentified character sprite that shows up in the trailer and screenshots could be a newly designed Constance. It's the mostly the blonde hair makes me think that, but maybe I'm looking too deeply into it.

Give Rahpael a full beard and make Gigachad Raphael real, KT. Also, something like this for Petra would be wonderful:
