  1. So far we've seen all skills other than those from Engaging inheritable when it comes to Marth / Sigurd / Celica, plus the SI skills as well that don't normally show up on the HUD.
  2. Oops, I might just put that in spoilers instead of a quote then... (and done)
  3. Further to this, all Bond 1~10 for Marth / Celica / Sigurd / Micaiah / Roy in this album. (Same source.) Daggers being renamed to Knives is hmm. ~~~ Also just asked the reviewer about Type Bonuses on Engage skills / attacks. Any types not listed get no bonuses:
  4. Another video under the spoilers that shows off the majority of Ch1 and 2:
  5. Weapon proficiencies seem to be gained by increasing Bond Level with Emblems, but as far as whether it's simply a trigger that enables them as soon as you cross the Bond Level threshold isn't super clear atm to me. Remember we saw Framme on the website have I believe bow and maybe also dagger proficiencies in addition to her starting arts (natural) and staves. Remember that proficiency does not have a weapon level tied to it unlike most other games where that can be levelled up; in this regard the class dependent weapon ranks are more in line with Genealogy. Class change weapon level boosts are always marked in blue when you go the class change, for the record. The only obvious candidates I can think of for daggers atm are Corrin (whose game had daggers as a major weapon) and Micaiah (by virtue of Sothe, though I suppose it could also just be referencing daggers in Tellius, and Ike doesn't seem like the type). Edit - on that note about Miccy and daggers... (seems to be Bond 6, see this video at the timestamp):
  6. Not too much in the Japanese Overview Trailer that just landed, though: a) Meisterlanze, and what definitely looks like Vantage (the Japanese name is the same). b) [see spoilers] c) [see spoilers]
  7. I think there was a situation with Alcryst and a monk in the GameInformer video also showing the same thing (monk is initiating):
  8. Having said that, the AI did seem to move units into cover terrain and also actually pulled off a number of Chain Attack setups, so you win some and lose some I guess.
  9. There's obviously tons of footage to comb through, but in case anyone was wondering, Micaiah gets Nosferatu and Thani at higher bond levels. Hype in full gear.
  10. Don't forget as well that until Pandreo (or I suppose Ivy or Hortensia), no-one else starts in a class with staff availability other than Framme (sure you could grind Clanne / Citrinne / Celine to promote, but point still stands). The Torch effect on shine is kind of funny but works I suppose. The Amplify Engage skill also increases the area of effect of staves to 0~1 from the target square (as seen with the ice block obstructs).
  11. In most cases the rings just address the Emblems by their epithets, so, as per the Japanese website: Leif: 賢王の指輪 - 賢王 is not used so far for Leif in Heroes, but I believe the fan translation is Sage King. I suppose it could also be Wise King... Also note that Elusia's king Hyacinth has the same epithet of 賢王. Roy: 若き獅子の指輪 - Ring of the Young Lion Lyn: 草原の公女の指輪 - Ring of the Lady of the Plains Eirika: 碧き風空の指輪 - normally Eirika is referred to in Japanese as 碧風の優王女 (Restoration Lady), and of more importance, Ephraim is 碧空の勇王 (Restoration Lord); note my emphasis on the 風 for Eirika and 空 for Ephraim. In this case, 碧き風空 being transliterated as 'azure wind and sky' may end up making the ring be something like 'Ring of the Restoration Twins'. Localisation can and will pull the rug from under us though so... Ike: 蒼炎の勇者の指輪 - Ring of the Radiant Hero Micaiah: 暁の巫女の指輪 - Ring of the Priestess of Dawn Lucina: 聖王女の指輪 - I don't 聖王女 has been ever translated with 'Exalt(ed)' in English. Given 聖王 is used as both Exalt and Exalted Prince for Chrom, they could go with 'Ring of the Exalted Princess' or just 'Ring of the Exalt' as well. Corrin: 未来を選びし者の指輪 - not exact, but Heroes uses 未来を選びし王女 or Fateful Princess; I'd probably expect the ring to be 'Ring of the Fateful Princess'. Byleth: 導き手の指輪 - 導き手 is not used in either 3H or Heroes. None of the end game epithets feel particularly appropriate. The closest is フォドラを導く者 which is The Fodlan Star (M) / Light (F) in FEH. If I'd hazard a guess, options could be 'Ring of the Guiding Hand' or 'Ring of the Guiding Star' (not Light as that's associated with F!Byleth).
  12. As in the 'My First Fire Emblem' trailer that NoJ / NoHK have already posted. Disappointing but really not unexpected from the NoA side, but I think there's enough dedicated personnel transalting / publicising the stuff from FE JP Twitter that any NoA stuff is a bonus (like the Mystical Type Bonus for Warp Ragnarok).
  13. For what it's worth, the Corrin and Byleth trailers made a point of having distinct type bonuses with each unit type, without listing the bonuses of any other types; so I'd imagine this applies to any case where certain Emblems' Engage Skills/Attacks have bonuses for more than one unit type. After all we still don't know what the Mystical type bonus for Lodestar Rush is... ...or when doing frame by frame stat comparisons in Ike's trailer, why Louis (who was an Armored type) gets an extra +5 Def during the Supreme Aether state compared with Timerra (who was a Backup type). ~~~ I wonder if they'll commit to keeping the mystery of the (empty) Emblem that, or go all out in a final trailer. The current evidence definitely makes me suspicious for the missing Emblem being a transformation catalyst regardless.
  14. I think Emblems are referenced with their own flag icon, which is seen in Relay Trials as follows (the purple Ring flag at the end):
  15. It's probably New Years, though that does pose the question of the timing of the next update as the holiday period may extend through the 3rd (Tuesday). ~~~ In terms of how to distribute the remaining information over the 2.5 weeks (assuming we lose half of next week): - five non Emblem characters in Zelkov / Goldmary / Pandreo / Merrin / Seadall - Micaiah - whatever they feel inclined to post about mechanics from the recent site update (the main one's probably Strengthen Engage Weapons) or Somniel (this would be the Training Yard / Fishing / Fortune Telling / Wyvern Ride I guess, or the Farmyard) …this still feels like it can be covered over 1.5 weeks, so whether there there's a final something to cover the last few days…
  16. I think you can still access the armory from the Preparations menu since you can access shops according to the context menus: At the same time you make a good point, and also there is an example of the Preparations theme and battle map in the background when Framme class changes to Archer, so... As for why SI'ing the Staff proficiency gives Celine A staves here, but not the HK video, uh...
  17. Oh also, the HK/TW version of the 'My First Fire Emblem' was uploaded. Only one suspicious situation regarding weapon ranks that seems to throw the idea of completely fixed class weapon ranks (outside of natural talents) for a loop: She has Sword B / Tome B / Staff A* (oops typed this wrongly first) as a Noble in Japanese footage, but Sword B / Tome A / Staff B as a Florage in Chinese footage. We know in all other parts of both trailers that Celine's Noble doesn't have innate Staff rank.
  18. If it is the latter, the presence of a decent number of (!) marks on enemies in maps we’ve seen is reassuring that the enemy is indeed packing effective weaponry. Still could hope to have more of course, but it’s a good start.
  19. A few things briefly that I wanted to highlight: 1. Vincent noted that in the Relay Trials video, there are two character Synced with Lyn, and two Synced with Ike respectively: Would that mean that there's a limit of say only 6 deployment slots per participating player (if there's only 2, for example)? Clearly there isn't an issue with Emblem duplicates being fielded here, but are there other deploy restrictions (only x number of Emblems per player, etc.) in play? 2. On the site's article on the My First Fire Emblem video, Vincent draws attention to the NoHK preorder bonus of seals as follows: The symbol on the bottom right seal, however, isn't yet identified. (It's not Gradlon's.) Given it has some elements from both Lythos and Gradlon, and it's also on the two-tone seal, maybe this is Alear's own symbol? The Fire Emblem, perhaps? EDIT for 2.: actually, the answer lies in the Divine Edition graphic. The bottom right seal is indeed Alear’s. (Also, we can see the Emblem Symbols for Marth / Celica / Sigurd on their classic art cards as well, and I think their card background colours are close to those in game and for the Engage hair):
  20. Ah right, found the tweets. Armored still not talked about yet though, and they would've made some sense with Ike I suppose, hmm... iirc there's a reasonably early Hammer and Poleaxe in the first few chapters, then the Somniel has them available for purchase (with limits ofc); and then factor in the Emblems' type effective Engage Weapons that can also in some way be given even more effectiveness if the Strengthen Engage Weapons section is anything to go by... (on that note I kinda wish there was a Mace equivalent of 'lighter' anti-armour weapons; thought that was a cute idea in 3H)
  21. On that note, other than the expected Bld increases from gaining mounts, were there any other overt stats that were disproportionately favoured on a mount compared with a comparable infantry (separate to typical things like peg Res)? Also... have we seen the unique properties of the Flying or Cavalry class type (we've seen backup/mystical/covert/qi adept already iirc)? (though the former is obvious with the ability to cross foot-impassable terrain and avoiding all terrain effects)
  22. Anna is a Warrior in the 8min overview before she class changes into Wolf Knight (axe sidearm). We've seen Lapis as a Warrior as well tag-teaming with Lyn in Lyn's video. Berserkers I think all have a similar generic look (and that actually explains the trims in Panette's default outfit that we mistook for Gremory furs).
  23. Oh I also missed it, but Nova's apparently a brave tome as well (it's 16x2 and not 16, 16 in the battle data). Definitely a bit of a departure from (El)Surge.
  24. I think with Ike!Timerra, her Def only went up by 5 in the Aether prep phase. I'm wondering whether the +10 Def is actually an Armored type bonus.
  25. One thing of interest is if a Smashed unit bounces off an obstacle or another unit, they also get Broken. (See the thief having the 🚫 over their weapon icon after the wallbounce.) Makes heavy weapons / Smash not a strict downgrade if the enemy is bunched up (though if you have Sigurd ready to roll, Override steamrolling them' probably the better option haha).
