Ashen Wolves could have been story-relevant, there was a datamine recently that held data suggesting a possible fourth route called "Dark Dawning" was in the game files but as the release drew closer it became more likely that it was a route merge towards the end present no matter which path you choose. Possibly having to do something about Arval, I'd guess. Ashen Wolves and/or Agarthan route was something I'd have been interested in, but 'twould seem there's nothing for it.

Okay, so first off chill out. The game isn't out yet, no need to doompost about what may not even come to pass. Anywhoo, the way I read it is that Shez is mostly projecting. Pretending not to care so as to protect themselves from the emotional turmoil that they are in fact feeling. As a merc, it's likely they've lost a lot of comrades to death's subtle embrace so hardening their emotional shell is a coping mechanism designed to deal with the constant loss that comes with their chosen lifestyle. Tl;dr Shez comes off as more "closed off emotionally, slow to let people in" than "I just didn't really give a shit about my so called comrades".

Not gonna lie, for someone with a PFP referencing Olivier this is hardly surprising. Isn't like, half the game spent socializing on the campus of Thors and other hub areas? This is not by any means a criticism, just that the logic tracks. Anyway, back on topic. I honestly love social games like Persona, Cold Steel, and Three Houses so the likelihood of me burning out on the Monastery segments were virtually nil.

Fuck, I wish you hadn't said this. Have you seen the leaks? Rhea, and the Church by extension gets raked through the bloody mud in this game. It feels like they addressed everyone's concerns.... Except about Rhea. If anything they super-hyper-ultra-flanderized her. Not a good day to be a Silver Snow fan, to say the least.

Well, to be fair it is the only route where every last character who isn't Byleth can end up dead. Silver Snow is the only route where Byleth can end up completely alone. Think on that for a moment and tell me it isn't a tragedy.

You do realize that the whole "Dragon Sickness" deal doesn't apply to Rhea, right? That was a Manakete thing, and they don't exist in Fodlan. Rhea's people aren't subject to the typical FE draconic madness.
