  1. ...sorry, was in a bad mood. I kinda snapped. Nah, I accidentally left her in the range of an archer after she got hit by another archer . But it's Amelia so meh. On my first runthrough, I managed to get Myrrh to level 20 with less than 30 uses gone. I know PEMN but you just gotta keep her away from to 2 range guys and you'll be fine.
  2. Saleh. Damn it. Why. Why did you gave a him score 6.5 points lower than Ewan, despite showing up at almost the same time as Ewan (a few chapters after in Eph mode), with an existent light magic rank and STAFFS, DAMMIT??? What did Ewan do to rank himself better than Saleh? Stats at 20/20 please: Saleh HP 39.5 Mag 21.7 Skl 22.75 Spd 21.6 Lck 18.6 Def 13.7 Res 19.65 Ewan HP 43.5 Mag 25.15 Skl 21.8 Spd 23.45 Lck 28.5 Def 11.05 Res 25 So apparently, after approximately several hours of your life gone, you get a 10/20/20 Sage Ewan who...has better HP, Mag (not important with Excalibur), Spd (barely), Luck (lol) and Res (lol). With very little staff and light rank. While Ewan was off training up so he can actually measure up to Saleh, Saleh was busy warping and physic spamming and blowing stuff up with Excalibur. In order to get Ewan's weapon ranks up to something even remotely similar to Saleh (so you know, he can actually use stuff like Exacliber and Warp in the first place), you're going to have to waste even more time staff spamming and murdering monsters at Valni; time which could be spent, oh I don't know, beating the game? what how what why... (mental breakdown ensues) I can also say the same thing about L'Arachel vs Saleh, by the way.
  3. Not to mention they require a wee bit more thought beyond walk, walk, shoot, duck.
  4. hahaha no more good units left... Rath, for being the least sucky one of them all gonna start sometime this week...hopefully
  5. anyways, Raven, for support shenanigans and HAND AXES
  6. Erk Now my plan of screwing everyone over for Chapter 25 will come to fruition... I MEAN, I LIKE MAGIC USERS
  7. dammit i wanted to go paladin rush EDIT: Lucius, because I want Kenneth
  8. Prissy, i need a healer hey, everyone cept quintissence is here!
  9. Well, i kinda suck at picking in drafts... Lowen, dammit Edit: Fir, you put Ninils on the list of units remaining
  10. It;s not that, it's just that schools gonna start in two weeks for me, so not alot of free time by then. I can play the draft on weekends probably, if there won't be any homework or tests that need studying for. Thanks for the offer though.
  11. uh...I'll join i guess...but my free time's sort of suspect. (i'll definitely finish though)
  12. I never said it was DA BEST, just really good. But considering the pros around here consider LTC and hard/lunatic setting first and foremost, I wouldn't be surprised if they believe it to be a lot more important than say, Weapon Saver (which you'll probably only need early game when you can't buy killers).
  13. Oh yeah, and it would introduce this hilarious situation Turn 1: Nosferatu-guy doubles carrier griffon knight w/ LS. Flies. Kills random scrub. Flies to high density enemy army and switches nosferatank to the front. Much lulz will be had.
  14. Whoops...missed the condition. But almost-free dance still sounds great for training scrubs (which i enjoy doing for some reason). But, and this has happened to me several times already, what if your Fredrick or Krom suddenly got surrounded by enemy units and WOULD have survive EP were it not for that one extra enemy who scored a lucky hit whom you could have taken out with Lightning Speed on (I'm bitter)? And I'm sure it'd be a god-send in the Lunatic modes where I don't think anyone can stand an EP wave by themselves besides Freddy (not that I'd ever play them...). And I still stand by my position in that it's one of the better (if not best) skills you can hand off, along with Rainbow Cry. Only issue I see with it is it's REALLY hard to get (or else it'd probably be really broken). Speaking of which, for anyone who's played on the harder modes, what's the viabilitiy of the children characters on Lunatic? Is it possible to train them without spending large amounts of time or resources, or are they just pseudo-Ninos? Because that would really stop my Lightning Speed for scrub training argument...
  15. I can see what will probably be a very common scenario: Unit w/ Lightning Speed dives into enemy army, kills someone, then runs away so they won't get killed during EP. It'll probably be pretty useful for training up children characters since they start kinda behind your army. Basically, Lightning Speed is ridiculously useful because of it's flexibility. You can heal twice in one turn, run and kill, cry two different parts of you army, etc. And who in the world would say no to a free dance? what other skill would you put in its place? Concentration? Hot start?
  16. Real men play 6 first. Oh, and welcome, but I guess newbies shouldn't be welcoming other newbies eh?
  17. Hey, if worst comes to worst, we can always just get a european 3ds. Honestly, though, there's very little reason for nintendo NOT to release it in NA. Just looking at sales numbers, it's already one of the best-selling fe games, and it's only been out for like a month. Basically, it's printing money. Oh yeah, it's also got a lord who looks alot like Ike, we all know how that goes. I may just be hopefully optimistic though
  18. Garcia, his speed is garbage. No this has nothing to do with my fighter bias Usually, when I'm forced to use fewer units then I've actually trained, I usually just drop the highest-leveled non-cav i have so I can train the rest of my scrubs. Don't drop Lute magic is awesome
  19. Here, have a Pent.
  20. BLASPHEMY Anyways, i went and compared their stats to their averages Lilina unpromoted Lv. 10 Mag 14 (12) Skill 6 (7) Spd 8 (7) Luck 8 (9) Def 4 (3) Res 10 (10) Mag+2, Skl-1, Spd+1, Lck-1, Def+1 Lugh unpromoted Lv. 13 Mag 11 (9) Skill 10 (11) Spd 12 (12) Luck 10 (9) Def 5 (5) Res 9 (9) Mag+2, Skl-1, Lck+1 uhhh...I gotta go with Lugh here, since he's slightly mag blessed anyway while lilina may still get doubling issues. Or you can use both+Hugh and go sage spam. SAGE SPAM YES
  21. Am I the only one who thinks his art looks very similar to Fredrick's? The armor styles are pretty close in terms of which body parts they're concentrated on protecting on (chest, shoulder, knees, elbows, etc.) along with a similar pose not that i'm complaining *fangirling* Doubt he's a foot soldier, the armor looks too heavy for him to run around in without a pony (and he looks like Fredrick dammit, he's definitely a gk or pally)
  22. Of course, you're all missing the point of my question here. Colm was made to steal stuff and maybe kill a few things here and there, not to ORKO bosses. Who in their right minds would make COLM of all people kill Riev when it could far easily be done with pretty much any other combat unit you have lying around. Don't tell me you solo'd the game with a thief. Honestly, the argument should really be Pick and Steal vs +30 WEXP (I checked their promo bonuses and caps and the difference is negligible). Even if your using Colm as a semi-combat unit (as I am), unless the chance of something happening is above 70% (like Rutger's crit with a Wo Dao, IIRC), you should never rely on it. Colm's 15% chance of activating Silencer with a killing edge means diddly-squat when you can just have Seth/Franz/Ephraim lance a guy's face off. Raw stats are preferable to random chance. The reason I asked whether or not Assassin Colm is better than Rogue Colm isn't just because I was wondering if Silencer was useful, but because I thought I may have missed some sort of advantage the Assassin had over Rogues. So apparently, not only are they roflstomped by SMs, they're also beaten out by Rogues in terms of pure usefulness. Also, I like Pick because all my units have full inventories most of the time, so saving a few inventory spots where I can cram another javelin instead of a chest key is always a plus for me. Gold isn't an issue since you get so much of it anyway (and if not just sell your secret books or something). Maybe other people can finish chapters with nothing but 2 hand axes and an elixir, but I'm not one of them. Oh yeah, I promoted his majesty into a Rogue. He's 17/2 now, has ridiculously good avo, and can do well for himself with a KE and a lancereaver, but honestly, the early game thief wasn't made for killing things, so none of us should really debate about the viability of him killing a boss. Not even a noob would throw their 15 str Rogue at Riev when you have 4 paladins sitting around. I merely wanted to know if Silencer was any more useful int his game than in FE7. And yeah I missed Cormag the first time I played this game cuz I beat the chapter he shows up in 3 turns.
