  1. Every other books by Lois Lowry (well, the anastasia series, don't think he did anything else...) were boring as hell, but The Giver was pretty great.

Well, I'm a big fan of Ray Bradbury. He is more known for its "SF" works (though I still consider it Fantasy. The guy absolutely don't care about realism)? but he made a tons of great short stories (including one amazing about a guy who becomes conscious of its own skeleton. I think he also did the one with the eterbal rain on Venus), and also some pretty good Gothic Fantasy works.

    In details :

    - From the dust returned. A seris of short fictions about a family of monsters. Kinda like Family Zdams, but somewhat more serious.

    - Something this way comes : A Horror story about a circus.

    - Martian Chronicles : A series of Novel about Mars colonization. It rzally is amazing, poetical and melancholic.

    - Fahrenheit 451 : Obviously a must read amongst the stories of dystpian future.

You can also read all his collections of short stories. Many of them marked me really deeply.

I also would advise you to read Neil Gaiman.

    - Neverwhere is a fantasy that happens on another hidden world based around London and its metro station. Seriously.

    - American God is about a confrontation between the old Gods and the new Gods (TV... for example.)

One of my favourite books is "Good Omen" by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman. It's a parody of the Apocalypse, so if you're not too sensitive about the subject (and like Queen), this is a great ride.

EDIT : Well... Just typing that makes me want to read Bradbury again. He is an amazing story teller.

really anything by terry pratchet is good, i love the discworld books, though they arent very in line with what the op is looking for

  2. Did anyone else think the title was going to say masturbate?

I think everything I emulate is:

    a) I do own it.

    b) So old that getting a real version would be impossible from the company and prohibitive from other sources.

    c) Unavailable/unintelligible to me in non-emulated forms.

Because of those I don't feel too bad about it. If there's an option of getting it legally that's actually feasible, then I'll do it.

As for owning ROMs at all, I don't remember exactly, but I think you're allowed to have them so long as they are gotten from a licensed producer who uses licensed equipment for the sake of having a backup. Only reason I remember that, if it even is the case, was because it seemed ridiculous, given you could more easily get a second copy of the game 99% of the time.

    i follow the same rules.

  3. GOG has a good record for updating games to work on newer operating systems. Every game I've got from them worked with no problems (except me needing to email them for neverwinter nights CD-key)

same for me, they do a great job.

  4. True Neutral, maybe CE.

In no way was this a Lawful act, since, in addition to not following a PERSONAL code of law, you broke at least one contract.

If the orcs were doing nothing worthy of extermination, eliminating them was an Evil act, while the gypsies were similar.

tl;dr: Your paladin should be a Fighter with no class features.

i would say neutral evil, neutral good if the gypsies and the orcs were both evil, as in all instances they took the route that they felt would serve them best. the paladin i agree should become fallen seeing as he tried to steal the pegasus.

  5. I would stop banging on the walls in retaliation, you might break the walls. Instead of banging on the walls take up playing the tuba.

On a more serious note, talk to your other neighbors about this issue, maybe start a petition for them to keep quiet and present it to your land lord, or if that doesn't shut them up, a petition to have them evicted.

  6. I apologize for the double post but since I actually have a laptop now with a temp internet, I will like to know what I need to start this,

All the FE6 and FE7 tools I assume? + what.

Also I may be sending a PM to those of you who said you would like to help

    You will need

    Fe Editor

the fe 6 fe editor fixes

    a hex editor

    mappy

    nightmare

nightmare modules for fe 6 and 7

    and event assembler

  7. Camus has the Gradivus.

He also fought Medeus himself, who admitted that he never fought someone as strong as him besides Anri. Keep in mind, Anri was the guy who passed the "Road of Anri" alone. Marth needed an army.

Even when facing the Shadow Dragon himself, Camus kept going until his weapons broke. Of course even when unarmed, Camus was able to beat one of Akaneia's most powerful knights, who ambushed him.

In short: What Seth does in mere gameplay, Camus does in the actual canon. But either way, I'm sure Seth couldn't hold his own against the Wingspear either.

Seth may break his game but Camus has canon backing him.

Both are a case of gameplay and story segregation.

this is what it amounts to

  8. Oh! Great idea! It also fixes the possibility of the player inputting a name that is bigger than the name space...

Sword/lance phantoms? Sounds good for me.

I think that javelins that magically comes back to you after you shoot them are much more implausible

Uh... anyways, according to a little research I made, it is possible to do so, but yeah, it's pretty hard.

Chances are that I won't add it, though. But I do have to find a way to differenciate them from nomad troopers. I'm not sure if their niche as bowkillers is enough?

using crossbows on horse was a real thing i agree, but its not optimal, it made use of the 2nd method i listed

to make there be difference between rangers and nomads, you could

make differences in movement penalties, maybe have nomads be able to traverse streams, and rangers be able to cross mountains
